I am not sure where you can download a cracked version, but its quite easy to crack your own version from the trial download......
Here is how...
1. Download the trial version
2. Burn to CD
3. Remove the CD from the drive
4. Connect your device using Activesync 4.1
5. Twist and bend the CD until you can see the cracks
4. Install from the CD following all the regular instructions
It does not work every time, but when it works you have loaded a cracked version!
Failing that just pay the $14.95 the small software company wants to keep running and develop the next version of the software you want to use.
C'mon, Pocket Breeze is so cheap, has one of the bext online support forums going and is a brilliant application. Don't try to ruin SBSH by cracking this product as I cannot think of any other piece of software that gives such good value for money.
No, I'm not affliated with them in any way except for legitimately purchasing a number of their products.... Consider doing the same and not requesting such things on this site in future.

Hehe. This is nice. I might use this as a template for the next warez requests if you don't mind
This why I love this forum

I don't mind ripping off the big corporations, but I draw the line at small software companies trying to make a living in a big world.

oh, im sorry but i cannot possibly be able to pay for such a product as i live in the philippines and most online shops does not accept international credit cards.
im sorry if this post offended many of you but i saw a cracked file in one of the posts before.
p.s. minimum wage in the philippines is about 6 usd per day
What about me living in the other part of the world which its minimum wage is $1.70. My dear, that fact shld not enforce
u to be asking for cracks. Remember too that those who post cracks here dont understand the SPIRIT OF THE FORUM. We forgive u

Most online shops accept international credit cards. That's how I purchase my software.
If minimum wage is 6 USD, how do you afford a PocketPC (presuming that's why you are looking for Pocket Breeze)? If you can afford one, you can buy the software.
Someone has to ask...
First, if minimum wage is what you are getting paid why did you waste money on a PocketPC? Surely a PocketPC can't be deemed an important purchase in the scheme of things, if that's the case. It's also possible someone may have given it to you as a gift, congrats if this is the case. Either way, if the money you get is so little why are you wasting it on a PocketPC or PocketPC apps?
There is another option, that the unit is stolen. I will assume this isn't the case, will consider you an honest man to start with.
Now, if you aren't getting paid minimum wage (actually more) then your comment about minimum wage is irrelevant, in that you (the one wanting to steal) is not earning minimum wage. Your just using those that are as an excuse for your actions.
I saw the barrage of responses, and was a bit surprised by the sheer quantity of them.
Yes, the point you are trying to make is very important, but I think the reason such questions pop up on this forum every once in a while has to do with its name.
People see the word 'hacking' and automatically assume it to mean 'cracking program protection'.
Perhaps a big bold red (blinking if possible) title at the top of the page stating something like: NO ILLEGAL APPS HERE!!! could prevent postings like this in the future… (or at least reduce their frequency)

The principal of cracking software dose not offend me. I think if software can be cracked is deserves to be. The point is that this is a forum for the advancement of programming on mobile devices. If behaviour that discourages programming on mobile devices is advocated then why bother have an xda-developers in the first place. There are plenty of other places to ask for cracks but if you ask here the best answer you should get is "crack it yourself".
OdeeanRDeathshead: the best advice that can be given on this forum!
I have to admit, , I wanted to try your today plugin a while back and it was complaining that the trial had expired or something, immediately after installation, so that needed a little "helping along" to get it working again.
I've come to realise that it's not worth doing any form of elaborate copy protection. Do it and hope for the best. Genuine users will pay for it if it's worth it. For everyone else - it's a question for your own morality. If the software is useful, it's worth recognising the effort that has gone into it, and rewarding appropriately. Development doesn't happen by itself, so even a few words of appreciation or encouragement are often more than enough.
Waaaaaaaaaay off topic.

I think a program can't be written that can not be cracked. The only question is how much time and effort is required. Weighing that against program price, quality, and necessity to users, determines if it ever will be cracked.
Crack this code
Code:
' :'.:'''''''.' . .'.'' '''' .:
vijay555, that bug comes from something I was trying to do to allow a certain degree of movement in the date. I know some people have legit reasons for changing time back and forward on a mobile device. Anyway, it failed and because there were a number of other bugs that are harder to notice and some more serious ones on wm2005 I thought it best to take the link off my sig until fixed. I only put a price on my work in the hope some one would buy it so that I could claim all my hardware when I do my tax.
Anybody else received this?? I'm assuming this is going out to all members of their forum and thought I would post it here.
Hmmm... I can foresee servers crashing from the massive flow of posts from people crying about all their bricked PPC's.
From: Pocket PC Live! [[email protected]]
ATTN: Piracy users
It has come to our attention that our software has been cracked just like every other software. We take this issues very seriously.
If you are NOT using the pirated version, you can skip this mail to save your time. or if you want to know more about our brains, keep reading..
We are teaming up with many developers to implement a module in our softwares that will cross check our applications for pirated versions in your device. For example: Software1 checks for Software2' pirated version and for exchange software2 checks for software1. If a pirated version has been detected, the module will force the device to Bootloader mode and makes it not to return for ever! We have made it in a way that the module functions in a separate thread and so there will be no slow-ing of device during the check process and the complete check process takes just less than 2 secs benchmarked on a standard 416Mhz Intel Xscale processor. This check might also be skipped as well by the crackers, but they first need to know which application checks for which and unfortunately those details will definitely be kept confidential by us(developers).
SO if you are using pirated versions, delete them before you loose your $400 device on spaing a few 10$. we will not be responsible if the device gets forced to Bootloader and turned to a heavy brick! You cannot even re-flash the device We have taken every step in the module to not disturb the safe versions and detect the pirated versions alone perfectly! Its rather a simple and easy process though.
This technology has been developed by CartyStudios, Inc. and is getting good view and publicity for us among the developer's world. Very soon every software going to implement this modules of exchange check technology. Pirated users, face the end very soon!

Sounds awesome.
I can't wait to sue them like how Sony was sued over their DRM/CD fiasco that could "crash" a computer.
Ah, it's great to be an American. We'll sue everyone. lol
this is _INSANITY_
No developer in their right mind would do something like that.
1. this is illegal to do.
2. what if the software error occured and someone got into this trouble by mistake in software/ error/ etc
3. people who use pirated software would never buy legitimate copy anyway. so they are immediatelly discounted.
4. one should understand that if developer is ready to destroy someone's property to protect his own copyrighted material, deserves the worst. bottom line is: this is not likely to be the case.

Gee, wonder what will become of the world, if everyone starts taking justice into their own hands.
Sounds like a scare tactic.. they would get sued pretty fast. What if it wrongly detects a pirated copy? There was a developer who did something like this before, and he was stopped pretty fast.
Maybe in Europe or America, where most of the people using Original software...but not in Thailand/indonesia/and china , where 70% people still using pirated software.. :
BTW no offense to ppl who are staying there, i just pointing to BSA finding ....
thanks
I think the whole announcement is strange:
1) If you do go to such length to protect your software, why would you want to tell the whole world how you do it. For a good hacker the knowledge that the protection runs in different thread and messes with the device is sufficient to find and crack it, and the fact that different software check each other doesn't matter. (Just another clue what to look for).
2) This would be useless if someone uses only one pirated software. Who will check it?
3) This is next to impossible to implement. To prevent reflashing you need to corrupt the bootloader and this is different for every device. Still, theoretically possible but this is more work than MS puts in to windows protection (and for a 10$ piece of software???)
4) If I were considering buying their product I definitely wouldn't after reading this announcement. What user in their right mind would pay for something that due to an error could kill his device?
No I am not in support of piracy, and I think that anyone who uses cracked software basically makes a choice to risk destruction of his equipment be it from viruses or protection module.
Any way I suspect they dug their own whole with this so if this is true it won't be around for long.
It's impossible they think all this seriously. They will get sued really hard.
See the following three threads on a simlar case:
http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=37285
http://discussion.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=212006
http://discussion.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=212067
The degree of piracy protection depends on the amount of work the author puts in or on his intelligence. Resorting to this just shows a lack in one of those areas.
Great, a breakdown handphone is a good excuse to buy another new phone! ;-)
This will get those guys to be sue if their software has bug especially those without warning on their web and during installation (legally the developers must provide warning) especially in Europe & US. They will be sue to their pants drop. The developers will pay a bomb for the protection technology and collect peanuts from their software (as no body will buy) and pay hell of legal fee when sue. Commercially does not sounds good.
Of course piracy is wrong.
I think a better way is to just delete the pirated software used, not the whole PPC software. This will be Win-Win situation and commercially more feasible. Delete the whole PPC software is action same as people who writes Virus, exactly no difference.
A good example is one of my Legal software, which on the web say able to upgrade with the old Code, but unfortunately when my Code is keyed, it still say "Unregistered Version". A quick check via email with their technical support, the same answer that I old version code can be used. Conclusion is I give up the new version and reverse back to my old version.
My 2 cents worth.
I have heard that law enforcement agencies have teamed up with car manufacturers. The built in GPS devices of new cars will autocheck your speed according to TeleAtlas maps and if you exceed the speed limit by more than 10%, the car will selfdestruct. No need to complain about your car being destroyed, because you brought it upon yourself by speeding!
What a bunch of... Don't believe that mail, some jokester is just having a bit of fun, that's all
i think this has just happened due to their software(UTA3) nowadays cracked
it seems like they are trying to make people afraid of
This is bollocks. Carty's software is freely available on IRC.
But every programmer that makes software has to be live to the fact that if it can be run on a CPU, it can be disassembled. If it can be disassembled, it can be reversed.
If any manufacturer warns you that they'll trash your hardware because of piracy, I'll show them the laws of trespass, tort, criminal damage and the various laws enthusiastically enacted across the globe to prevent malicious hacking and criminal damage, even if it is committed by self-appointed vigilante software manufacturers. Patent pending or no.
Class actions a-hoy boys . I'll happily take on your case.

Yeah total BS.
I keep hearing "piracy is wrong". I just don't belive that. If I was born eating fruit and living in trees I would knock the next monkey over to get the bannana - I was however born into this high tech world where certain tools and information are just as important. Any person smart enough to obtain what they need should do so, its up to the vendor to either prevent it in code or make the product less attractive to hack because of demos, basic versions or versions with some disabled functionality being freely available.
Even if it is moraly wrong, piracy can't be beat. There are millions of geeks/programmers around the world with too much time on their hands and the desire to hack and share.
lol.. monkeys and bannanas.. ROFL
No Comment!!!
Lol
I assume this message alone could ruin their business seriously. As they started developing on a magician they might found out a way to destroy the bootloader & maybe from some other devices. But why would I want to install software with such a risk of malfunction anyway, if it were true? To hard-reset it when some thief puts in a different sim as mine?
Maybe we find out the truth about this in the near future, but in the mean time I take pity on them
You know, this thread reminded me of an old Russian saying. It is roughly translated like this:
"Locks are for honest people.", meaning there is nothing that can't be cracked / hacked / broken in to.

If you had fundamentally changed the game, I think that would be more acceptable in terms of modding but just ripping out the ads and changing the splash screen isn't what I would describe as modding.
Modding is like creating a new level, replacing the graphics, this is definitely more akin to piracy.

Do you just read the title and not read the post? I'm pretty sure I said I'll be adding more mods once I get a feel for their code. Oh, yeah this is defiantly piracy since I'm tweaking an app that is free and all. Please know what you're talking about before you post.

Add me to the list that doesn't agree with this. No offense to you at all, just don't feel its right to take away their income from this app.
If people don't want the ads, they can pay $.99, or they could've just gotten the app while it was free on the amazon appstore.
I'm not sure why you're making this personal, and I don't think you really believe that I misunderstood your post or what modding is.
The problem is, this is exactly the kind of post you would expect to find from a warez forum. A crack to remove ads, and a custom splash screen, and that's it. Just because you call it a mod, doesn't make it so.
Modding is an art form and I highly respect it. You're just not there yet, and you're acting very immature about it. If you make a great game out of this, kudos to you. But in it's current form, what you posted is closer to piracy than modding. Which has nothing to do with something being free or not.
3 posters here have now warned you about it. You might take that as a hint that you should consider thinking it through again. You've also been rude to two of them and thanked the other because you misread his post.
Anyways, I wish you luck in creating a really cool mod eventually -- I really do.
But I don't think it helps anyone for me to continue to reply here, we've said our warnings and the forum moderators will sort the rest.
Also, one last peice of advice, if you're going to put yourself on stage, you should learn to take a bit of criticism without lashing out with personal insults.
Add me to the list that disagrees. Stuff like this is what ruins things for others. Also a determining factor for us getting Netflix they are afraid of what can be changed.

Look man
This is my final post about this.... I'm not going to argue I just want to make you understand.
1) I have been a member of this forum since 2008.... so yes, I DO know what this site is, I do know what it's about, and my "view" on this is exactly from an xda-member point of view versus what you state
2) Kudos to you still... to be able to reverse engineer.... but the irony is that what you posted in your reply to me; googling "why is angry birds free" IRONICALLY pretty much states that it's because of the adds on just about any site that you visit from the results.
3) XDA has ALWAYS considered itself to be morally ABOVE warez... what you're posting is border line warez... PERIOD. Rovio has STATED that they've made more money off of ads then they would have ever posting as a paid app. This is why they released seasons, why they released rovio for android, etc... see the pattern? It's because they're making money. It's discouraging for a coder or company to make something for android... the paid apps DO NOT sell as well as for iOS, so they reserve to ads... when money from ads no longer appears, and paid apps don't sell as well... there's no more reason to develop for them for android... then we bit*h about how there aren't enough apps for android..... just try to understand what I'm saying without lashing back. OK?
4) Again, if you're going to post - don't lash out on people that disagree with you, take their criticism and roll with it. Either ignore it or thank them for it.
5) And to the others that say... oh jeez just move on and don't post if you don't like. This isn't exactly the same. Rovio is a company, with legal capabilities, and you don't know how far they're going to go to defend their intellectual property. But seeing as this is the BULK of their business... I'm guessing far. *I KNOW THAT THIS IS AN EXTREMELY OVERBLOWN SCENARIO* But I don't want the risk of having XDA get shut down because of a cease and desist... Also, regardless of how I fee about this, I'm trying to explain to the OP that he may face legal action against him as well if they wish. He's reverse engineering and modifying intellectual property... and I don't want that happening to any developer at all
Anyway, rant over... just take our heeds and warnings OP. I'm not trying to attack you.... in a way I'm trying to protect you AND XDA.
That is all.... but the more this happens *ads being blocked by modders*, the less development you will see for android by people who do not wish to develop just paid apps. If you're going to develop for *ONE* ecosystem.... iOS is the way you're going to go... their ecosystem has more money flow... that's just a fact... and if revenue from ads is nonexistent, well, you know what will happen. Just take a look at what's happening with root and bootloaders in our community. I guarantee you carriers wouldn't care if they weren't losing money!
My $0.02
get off of it dude,,,,,,any mod is a change, i , my self , love the game, but you are wrong about your thinking of the different way,s of changing things, no matter where it is,

i love it with no (adds)

I guarantee you carriers wouldn't care if they weren't losing money!

mr. dreamer..... i think you should not be on this site if u feel that modding or changing things is a crime.. here we ripp appart apps from a device and make it available for all the other device .. we make custom roms here which in fact improves the overall performance of the device ..due to which we dont change the device for a long time , which in turn is not a good thing for the manufacturers...
so if u think what this guy has done .. u should stop using custom roms and also stop tweaking ur device ..cozz if you want to get more out of ur device.. you can buy a more better version of device rather than tweaking it..
this community is all about tweaking and getting more from the existing .. may it be apps or firmware..
people have also tweaked the google maps and navigation to make it free for everyone.. so you were nowhere to be seen there..
there is an app called add free.. which every rom devloper includes in his roms
and i m sure u might be using a lot of these roms.. so u should stop using this forum..
i totally support this guy cozz.. he has just tweaked a free app...
if this thread would be taken down then then the purpose of having such a great forum wouldnt be the same...
these are the poll results for u.

Yes, lets see what comes out of this. 7 100.00%
Na, its okay. 0
and if u are saying "in a way I'm trying to protect you AND XDA".. get a life dude.. if you want to do any favor for us .. just get your ass out of this forum that would be the biggest favor
I use Adfree, the ads are gone already. I wonder if these guys bash the creator of that app or even worse, use it themselves. Oh the irony...
But it all depends on who you are and what you have contributed to xda, because the impaler released the same thing for angry birds, I don't remember anyone criticizing him for it.

EXACTLY!!!!!
Evo ex DEV “TrevE” Hit With Cease & Desist new update CIQ has thrown in the flag
For a refresher, back in October a user over at the XDA forums came across a major security flaw on HTC devices which allowed for the tracking and recording of every use of your phone through certain app permissions. Since then, HTC released pressers that acknowledged the issue and that they would have fixes. Better yet, they said that no data had been stolen by any users and that HTC’s people were on the case to fix the problem. Unfortunately, nothing ever seems to end on a good note.
After his initial findings, research then led Trevor Eckhart to CarrierIQ. That company, has now issued a cease and desist to the Mr. Eckhart for the research he published on their software. CarrierIQ claims that “TrevE” reproduced copyrighted Training Material and made “false allegations” about their software’s purposes. And this is not just a slight slap on the wrist. CarrierIQ wants Mr. Eckhart to issue a formal announcement that shows that what CarrierIQ is doing is completely normal, and is in no way a vulnerability to users.
It’s almost scary to read these C&D letters as if you are the person it is addressed to. Of course, if Mr. Eckhart does not stop his research and retract all previous posts and articles showing CarrierIQ’s software at work, then there will be legal ramifications. Luckily, there is a good shot at the good guys coming out on top. Echkhart reached out to the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) for legal counsel and they feel that CarrierIQ’s claims are pretty much bologna.
We have now had a chance to review your allegations against our client, and have concluded that they are entirely baseless. Mr. Eckhart used and made available these materials in order to educate consumers and security researchers about the functionality of your software, which he believes raises substantial privacy concerns. Mr. Eckhart’s legitimate and truthful research is sheltered by both the fair use doctrine and the First Amendment.
I have felt that Eckhart’s research was for the greater good of the consumer and was most definitely just a,”Hey, watch out for this type of thing,” then an actual attack on CarrierIQ. I could be wrong, but I feel that the research done was in good heart. What do you all think? Will the first amendment save this guy from an ugly court hearing?

*update* Carrier IQ withdraws 'misguided' cease-and-desist letter, apologizes to security advocate TrevE by Phil Nicki

So he finds a big security flaw that exposes every HTC phone and they wanted him not to say anything bull**** HTC
Reminds me of Sony BMG and their distribution of XCP and MediaMax rootkits they distributed on millions CDs in 2005 and wanted everything hush..hush..made excuses and so on.
Just part of the reason they paid a heavy price recently.
I back trev 1000%. These big companies thought they could be dirty and get away with it. I believe they knew what they were doing and did it on purpose thinking that the normal dumb user would never find out about it. So when someone brighter than them figures it out and releases it for the masses to read and see for themselves they get all worried and try to use scare tactics to cover up their illegal activity. If you ask me i believe trev should go to court and expose them for the crooks they r.
We may have to start taking up a legal fee fund for Trevor. Go Trev go!

I agree, I feel his research has been for the greater good and education of
the end users of these products, and not just the HTC users. I assume that
this kind of software is on every smartphone, regardless of manufacturer or
operating system.
I don't even directly blame CarrierIQ for their spyware. I blame the carriers
themselves. They're just providing a service that the carriers all want, and
the carriers are basically bullying the manufacturers into installing this crap
into the devices. I don't think any of the manufacturers would willingly spend
their time and resources to install, configure, test, and debug these types of
applications and services if the carriers didn't 'require' it in the first place.
Not saying that any of the above are really innocent, but, blame should start
at the source. CarrierIQ's business model and product would definitely be
different if the carriers didn't create the demand in the first place.
I'll support TrevE any way I can.
The first amendment is quite limited by other laws that cover it. Imagine a mess of papers on a desk, the desk is the first amendment, which is obvious to anyone that is in the room, but each paper obscures the desk more and more, making it harder to clarify what the desk really looks like.... Sure there is the desk, black and white, but this "desk" is on the WORLD WIDE WEB, which, consequentially can make this a very, very controversial case.. As for CarrierIQ.... that was also found on my old Samsung Epic 4G and there have been roms that disable it since early this year out for it... There was even a huge post explaining what CarrierIQ is... so when I saw it here on the EVO 4G forums, I wasn't surprised. However, this lawsuit does surprise a lot... The "Ex DEV" as you say could come up on top... if he has enough funding, because he is RIGHT to do what he did... but whether its legal or not... thats another question. Just because something is legal, doesn't mean it's right.
looks like CIQ is trying to say there not any harm to our phones bull**** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofHr8Lv5cNk&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I downloaded the app "Servicely" and it can disable services and apps to prolong your battery and what not, well i opened it up to take a look and i was going through each apps running services.. Not all mind you as there are a ton but i was scrolling down through OnePlus 6T dashboard app and one of the services was ".mms.SmsHijackerService" .
This of course grabbed my attention. Does anybody know what this is and is a lot more Innocent then what it looks like? I also read something earlier tonight about One plus does steal info behind users backs...not sure if it was a BS article or if out had some truth to it ( sure everything has truth to it) . So after reading that then seeing this i was like WTF. Are my texts being hijacked and sent to them. There was a few other ones with names that at least if they are what i think they are, they hid the name better. I have a screen shot here not sure if i

I am on 9.0.11 , so it doesn't go away in an update ha ha not that i thought it would. Seems shady but also why on earth would they name it something that seems shady....... I am going to try to install this sms reader module i read about, it logs all data & sms that leave your phone. Find out if any leave that A) i didn't write & B) go somewhere i didn't send...hopefully the app can tell me that..... if it turns out not , Do you or anybody know of an app that can do that ? I think that would solve all my paranoia that every app i have is sending out my information.

Hmmm... don't want to start drama as I'm sure you didn't intend to, but I'm one of those "paranoid" or conscious as I prefer.
I'm huge on keeping up with geopolitics and some of us should really research the history of China, and I don't mean reading modern, watered-down history literature. China's CCP is the biggest and most vast "Big Brother" in the world except for intelligence in the US/Europe. Not only that, but they are VERY open about the intrusion of privacy amongst it's own people along with the current controversy on China's LONG history of Intellectual Property theft. Read anything re: China's (state owned and funded) Huawei these days (also, notice Huawei's focus on high quality cameras.. eyes everywhere), I will never own anything they produce and I'm sad to say I may be skeptical of this phone now, sadly. And here's a fun-fact.... I'm a Chinese-American, no joke lol
This is very concerning and I think these questions should continue to be asked higher up. I will definitely research this and watch this thread closely.
Please post any finding on it's nature and update us on if we can remove/block the apk. I will do some testing after work.

that's fine, and being "conscious" is always appropriate in dealing with all things internet..
however, it always makes me chuckle how so many folks are super paranoid of their privacy being invaded, yet they spend half their lives on faceschnook, tweeter, Snapchat, "the gram" and on and on, plus, as I am sure you already know that once you have an email account, an internet plan, a cell phone, a credit card, a car payment, what ever, you can pretty much kiss any semblance of personal privacy goodbye..

You are giving alot assumptions (? ) about me when you don't even know me. I don't have half those things you listed and if I did or if anybody did that automatically takes their right to privacy away? I will always be concerned with that and as I do agree you can't stop it all as everything you have is tied to you in some digital public way, it does not mean we should just give up... That's your choice not mine. But let's get back to the original topic... As this is what this site is for. If you want to argue the topics hipocricy and all that good stuff (because I gladly will) we can do that else where.
I never made ONE SINGLE assumption about you, so no pity party for you..
and, you said I "gave up"..where EXACTLY did I say that?
you cant make stuff up to fit your narrative dude, so dont try..
even XDA hides tracking cookies on your devices, so deal with it..

I will keep researching as it has peaked my curiosity. By the way I agree with you. As I can't take it as far as not owning anything made in China as I find that impossible I do limit it where ever I can. And Mr. Tinfoil hat isn't entirely wrong in stating if you have email. Etc then your privacy has been invaded, if everybody read and understood the fine print in every app alone they download, I bet they would think twice. Google freaking owns us and everything we create... You give it to them the min you agree and download this or that... It's sad really.
