Just wondering how different is LG G8x in terms of photo quality compared to LG G8. I'm not a photographer but I found that images coming from LG G8 are quite bad. "Ancient" Google Pixel 1 kills it in every situation.
I've taken some amazing photos on this device. the main shooter is great, including portrait mode. the wide angle is fantastic, and I just recently discovered a "super wide" or fisheye effect which is super cool. and the front facing cam is amazing, 32mp makes video calling a dream. as with my G6, the G8X seems to perform best in well lit, outdoor conditions. that being said, it still does well with indoor and low light. far better than G6. I believe there is a working gcam port as well that always improves quality.
Lg g8x front camera problem
It focuses on background not a face, and i have seen similar issues with other people. So is there any way to tell lg’s developers about this issue? And if any one facing same issue raise your complaint. So lg will notice this issue.

Yes, my LG G3 has a better camera and a real zoom. I am very disappointed with the camera.

Besed in the reviews it looks great for the price tag
I must say just average quality, and no low light performance.

Exactly! I think the reason being that having a dual camera setup allows for more depth and image information for post processing to generate a better low light picture.
do you have the phone? used it to take pictures by night? I did and I say that the results are not exceptional. Nothing similar to flagship's pictures, no s7 quality. just budget phone camera quality. you must lie really still to avoid problems.
some sample shots would be really nice..

I maybe too late for the reply but why do you expect s7 quality? You can buy 2-3 S7s(depending on price in your country) with that price
no I don't expect s7 quality, and my other android is a oneplus 3t, but if a product is advertised as good, it must be good. From my experience the honour 6x dual camera doesn't help low light image quality.

Better than many Xiaomi and Asus phones in same price bracket
When you find good lighting condition it can take very good and detailed selfie however low light performance is a hit or miss, sometimes impressive sometimes have noise
Overall considered its price i m very happy with front cam quality
Selfie addict and satisfied with it.

I installed the Gcam port hoping it would give me more accurate colours, but unfortunately it is not what I was hoping for. Coming from the Poco f1, the Gcam was a dramatic improvement. Comparing Gcam on Poco vs. K20 Pro, Poco wins hands down. Not 100% about the Miui cam. Wish I could change the colour temperature / white balance easier. Not super excited about the photos

Very nice photos, but a little over saturated...
The back cameras are garbage. If the app detects a face, it smudges it too badly, no matter what settings you use. The colours are good in jpg, but the raw files are very desaturated and with such a bad quality, that I can't believe you get something in jpg. I believe this is a software problem, because it's the same with all the three sensors, and I have some hopes for fix.

Keeping the functionality, if just adding a dng option is possible, everything will be fine and possible to fix. Guess there's a reason to keep the computational photography away still...

The correct answer is "processed by the phone". The RAW images would be different and the processing on this phone is "good" having in mind what you get for raw file. I'm in real wonder what's wrong but I believe this sensors can do better...

I'm not impressed with the selfie camera.
Yes, even I am not liking the results of the selfie camera. The stock app blows out the highlights and background way too much, and smooths out the details.
And with Gcam, HDR is fixed, but the photos appear too contrasty and sharpened.
Which is the best way to extract best selfies from this phone? Anyone?

It's not garbage but it certainly is not like a 28k phone too, very bad dynamic range ,and not enough details fi you compare other phones in same price segment or some even lower ,I had Nokia 8.1 and I can definitely say it doesn't come anywhere close to it in selfie department

I feel the same as you. Always either too smoothened or too contrasty. Did you find a solution or a gcam config that delivers "acceptable" results?
Does anyone else have a suggestion?

I am currently using this GCam, https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog672/
After installation, goto settings->advanced->CustomLib->Change to Savitar ZA v3
The selfie output is still not perfect, but definitely seems better than the output obtained via Sannity's and MGC's Gcams for me. Give it a shot and let me know.

Picture taken with Gcam
I've got some good decent photo in daylight, also in low light in close range
Photos are clearly better than iPhone 8 and Samsung note 8 due to huge sensor. Low light is also good. Video quality also alright but not as good as iPhone anyway due to lack of optical stabilization. The lens aperture at f/1.9 is restricting this phone a bit at night time shooting sometimes but Using latest GCam by wyroczen, pics can be stunning.
Very bad photo quality even with gcam (heavy wrong color). Don't buy this phone if you focus on camera quality
it has nice quality overall, it's obvious you have to use gcam, xiaomi's photo app sucks. Overall good looking pictures

Yes of course , I bought a mi a3 and I ain't know that it is based on pure Android so I sold it because I am mad of MIUI , then I bought a RN8 4,64 , but I unfortunately it was stolen after about 15 days , at last I bought RN8 PRO about 3 weeks ago ، so I have tested all of these 3 devices and my idea is RN8 PRO is the best , and it is better than Samsung A series (all models)
