A joke of a speaker.... sounds like metal bar...absolutely 0 bass and when playing game you will 100% cover it.... playing in landscape mode. Its a shame...the phone is lighting fast and everything else is superb...but the speaker is from 2014 at best.
The speaker on my phone lost sound for a bit and them was crackly. I called up samsung and they said that it might take 3-4days to repair.
Now i have to buy another phone to use in the meantime to get A90 reapired. How retarted is that?

Speakerphone during a call is barely audible, some kind of bug because it's super loud for music
Yup. Speaker volume while on a call is barely audible. Hope this is addressed via a future software update

My hubby can barely hear me on calls. I hear him loud and clear from his Nokia 6.1 though... The speaker does suck on this device also. I recently bought this phone and I'm wondering if this issue is fixable
I was having the speakerphone problems on my 7.1. Some other posts on the Nokia site forms clued me in to turn off Wifi calling and VoLTE and it seems to have fixed the speakerphone issues. pretty loud now. sometimes, after a long time talking, it might fade out but that might just be the call just being lost (not sure which side's fault). so it sucks to have to turn off those nice features but it's workable.

Speaker phone on this is one of the best I've ever experienced. Loud/Punchy and clear!
I noticed a crackling noise when turning the volume up and listen to deep voice in videos or similar freqencies. But the speakers are awesome - very loud, clear and the only thing I miss is the bass, which isn't possible for those tiny speakers.
The stereo works also quiet well but if you look directly on the screen, the ear speaker sounds a bit louder than the bottom speaker, because it sounds directly into your direction.
It is possible, that this problem was already discussed, but I haven't found that thread.
After the second Android 10 update on my hongkong version of Galaxy S10, I found, that sound quality from internal speakers is way worse than before. Too much high frequency, which make sound buzzy and flat. After some experiments, I found out, that devs changed the default "flat" equalizer, although graphically it remains the same. To restore the original sound quality, eq should look like this: 125 hz +1.5, 250 hz +3 (out of 5).
P.S. Atmos and other soft enhancements were not used, because of uselessness.
P.P.S The update came out just before the launch of s20 series, which were considered as worse sounding devices, than s10 series. I don't believe in Samsung anymore.

I mean the in call volume on the earpiece and while calling on speakerphone, no while playing music.
The hardware seems fine, look more of an issue for the in call volume config in the OS
Very loud.
No complaints here, best and loudest phone I've had [emoji106][emoji16]

I am impressed with the speaker performance on this cell phone.

I love the sound quality.
But I personally think that Music is to loud using Dolby Smart Audio (The Reason being, the lack of controll over the fixed volume)
I've had this problem since i got this phone, the amplified earpiece speaker keeps ocilating in volume in busier parts of songs, my problem is not volume related and doesn't happen with normal youtube videos where there is no music, I've tried disabling dolby áudio, I've rooted my phone countless times, I've fully reseted my phone 5 times already, and it still happens, i just want to know if other moto g8 plus or g8 power users have this same issue
Sorry, No. In fact the sound is very good : and that matters to me.
I have a question about the stereo speakers, can someone explain me why is the earpiece speaker much weaker than the speaker near the charging port.

Like to know too. How's the earpiece volume, i mean can you hear a soft speaking sound when you put the phone 50cm in front of you?
It's pretty good in my opinion, my ears are not very good so I can't really tell the audio quality that well but it's plenty good at its price point. Gets loud enough to fill a room and doesn't get tinny even if you turn it all the way up as far as I can hear. Besides the fact that it's easy to cover since there's only one port it's good enough if you're not an audiophile.
Can confirm audio is excellent. Even with Galaxy Earbuds Plus!
Definitely a big upgrade from my Oneplus 3!
It's louder and sounds better.
Can't say something about the earpiece, because I didn't use it a lot
Using it to call other people or checking some Youtube, it's really loud en pretty clear. Distortion is from the speaker itself is at normal volume OK. At higher volumes it is a bit worse.
Good to know, the whole phone acts like a soundbox. So it sound like it has Stereo, but hasn't. Because of this the whole phone vibrates.
