camera on stock rom vs camera on custom non stock rom? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am planning to flash a custom non stock rom (resurrection remix pie) on my note 4.
On my galaxy S5, camera on non stock is significantly worse than the stock camera on stock rom.
How is it on note 4?

Camera will never be as good as stock but it does the job. You can also install a third party one like Open Camera.

I don't like open camera... any other recommended camera? on my galaxy S5 I used a ported xiaoimi mi A2 camera which worked great

Is it possible to port tw camera to aosp rom?
there is a miui 7 rom in i9505 section that uses tw camera and if it has been possible get stock camera in miui rom why isn't possible to get it in asop rom?

I think the touchwiz camera requires the touchwiz framework to function. Otherwise it would have been ported long ago.

I install many module of stock camera but when I click portrait photo it will say can't connect to camera:crying:
I am on android pie resurrection remix
RR uses 4.9.x kernel and HALs so no stock camera will work with it. Stock camera only work with 3.18.x.

I own a Xiaomi MiA1 and I am running stock firmware Android 9 (June Security Patch). I tried installing custom rom, but after installing any custom rom, Camera stops working even the GCam also not working.
Please help me to solve this issue.

camera working only in some roms like PixelExperience Rom, BootLeggers rom and RevengeOs.
in other AOSP based roms stock camera app not work only Open Camera app works.

I had installed PixelExperience Rom, then also the camera is not working.
Flash the latest firmware zip it's approximately 48-49mb file

Custom rom MIUI/Leica cam preinstalled?

Is there a list of custom for note 7 lavender AOSP ROMs that have the MIUI/Leica cam preinstalled? Would love to see it
