I want to use my MZ605 as a book reader and music player (when combined with bluetooth speakers). I currently have a CyanogenMod ROM and would like to know if this is ideal. I can't use Google Play and several programs don't work properly with the current Rom.

is there a way to play audiobooks on the hd2? i need one that keeps my place after i'm done listening to it, like a bookmark. and return to it exactly where i left off later on.
Try Akimbo Player. It will remembers your last position and last set volume level for each book.
More details can be found here

can i play this player on my htc hd2 stock rom 6.5? please say yes.
I'd recommend you to try installing Android. You can use SD build, so you are able to use WM6.5 together with Android ROM. After putting android on my HD2 I never looked back. i use special version of mortplayer - written especially for audio books - with bookmarks and sleep timer. I also listen to audible - its player is really better for Android than for WM.
Podcast software is much better too - I use BeyondPod.
On the other hand, you can still use mortplayer for WM (AFAIK there's option "remember last position"). Interface is much uglier than its android counterpart

Hi,
Wondered if anyone could help out here. There are several potential glitches here.
Anyway. I bought isyncr for my Desire in order to ditch my ipod, i bought this because it claims to sync play counts as well as general itunes syncing.
I have managed to get this to work, but only when i use Android Music 2.3.0b7, it will not work using PowerAmp or Music version 2.3.3. The latter is the default player on the phone and i can't uninstall.
The problem that i have is that last.fm is reverse, so this will scrobble with seemingly any player except for Android Music 2.3.0b7.
Is there a way to remove the standard Android Player (Music version 2.3.3) or to force Last.fm to recognize a different player namely Android Music 2.3.0b7?
Would be great if someone could help.

...But it doesnt seem to work with miui, Been using PowerAmp since its launch & currently use v1.4 on MIUI 1.10.14 without issues except for the progress bar (known bug)
but v2.0 just locks up my phone as soon as i open the app, ive posted on the PA forum, maxmp says it will not work with MIUI
so, have any MIUI users tried to install & use PowerAmp 2.0 (beta 1 or 2) ?
Cheers

I like Meridian Player, it can find lyrics and scroll it during music play. Also I could suggest MortPlayer. I tried lots, but those one's are the most functional for me.

i already have the market version (v1.4) & purchased the unlocker, this works well, plus MIUI have fix a lot of small issues in the last update so going back isnt an option.

What is the most seamless way to sync music files to my internal storage beyond the Play Music app? Ideally it would be an app / program that would let me do it over wifi.
For reference, I would prefer it to be compatible with a macbook.

Seeing as you're a mac user, I'm assuming you use itunes. If so, try this out:

I use media monkey to organize all my music files. Then I upload it to Google music and it just shows on my phone without taking any space. Its worth doing specially if you plan on flashing Roms and wiping your data often. Google music give it a try. You can manage it online too

Another vote for iSyncr. Works great over wifi with my Mac and iTunes. I've used it through 2 or 3 phones at this point, and never had a problem with it. It will also backup pics/vids from your phone to your computer.
Ok, thanks for the input. I'll check out iSyncr - I'd used it a while ago on my Droid X but it looks like it's gotten a lot of new features since then.
And to clarify, I do use Google Music, I just really don't like the app, so I figured I can use another player for local files and then use the google music app if i want to listen to anything not store locally.
I recently got a new car that allows song metadata to be displayed on the in-car dashboard when connected to my GNote2 via bluetooth, and to some capacity, yes, it does work. However, it only seems to correctly display the metadata when using the Google Music app, with other apps such as Grooveshark, Music Unlimited, etc. not displaying anything. Is there anything that can be done to fix this problem? My current ROM is Jelly Beans Build 1.
Nothing at all?
Works for me on the stock ROM, so this is probably more of a ROM-based question.

The stock Samsung music player displays metadata and offers full external control over functions (EG: shuffle, repeat). Samsung's own Music Hub doesn't show metadata. It allows external control of forward, back, pause, and play and that's about it. Like someone else said, it's app dependent as the (stock) BT firmware supports it.
