HP 610c/612c/614c Wm6.1 5.2.20273

EDIT: sorry about the wait! i've uploaded the new ROM here.
also available here. it's based on the newest HP OEM ROM, 1.01.04.
if you download from the original forum, you need to register first. password is pdaclan.com. i'd upload the file myself, but i'm at an internet cafe and have to go, sorry!

to flash this ROM:
1) unrar the file flash.dio using pw "pdaclan.com"
2) copy the file to an micro sd card formatted to FAT 16. do NOT use an SDHC card, the bootloader can't read it!
3) insert the card into your 610/612/614. while it's still off, hold down the voice record (left side) and mute (top) buttons
4) still holding the buttons, hit the power button. hold them until you see the bootloader start up
5) sit back and relax! i'd recommend that you don't touch anything until it's totally finished and the screen comes up telling you to calibrate the touchscreen. enjoy windows mobile 6.1!
as usual, you use this at your own risk. don't come crying to me if you brick your phone. for the record, i've flashed this and it's working fine so far.

any feedbacks on anyone who flashed theirs with this rom ?

i wouldnt mind to test it if i would be able to login to that funny chineese website.

ok managed to login....
look like it has chineese programs on it. nor really useful

it HAS chines progs on it and is a mixture of the newest Samsung I908 WM 6.1 ported for the ipaq 61x in english with chinese parts in it.....not so usefull yet.
Installed it for testing - absolutely stable and FAST!

Have anyone test this ROM and publish the report

It is actually "HP612_WM6.1_OS 5.2.20273 EN ROM"
I wonder it has driver and software for camera. I think the difference of 612/614 and 612c/614c is the camera, isn't it ?
BTW the pw is "PDAclan.com" not "pdaclan.com"

anyone knows if the smart navigation wheel still works after flashing to this rom ?

Im not good with babelfish.
Currently using Yveg001s rom http://forum.israpda.com/viewtopic.php?p=63406#p63406 big diffrence in speed and battery life from old stock version of wm6.0
Also flashed radio with rom from HP site that is become unavailable at this time. (whole system flash with "official" HP update WM6 an then with 20270.1.3.1)

@Grga001: Do you want links to the English ROMs or all of them? The one you linked to is in Chinese. It's the newest, but the English version for 20737 isn't out yet.

I really think a clean web page that translated in English should be created for all the roms developed by the israpda.com or pdaclan guys. but that's just my opinion.
Even if its not translated it would be easier to translate a page as oppose to a forum.
It would be nice to understand which is the latest rom and which one is better or what the differences are between the one from PDAclan.com and israpda.com

Okay, I'm going to get started downloading all the ROMs from PDAclan. I'll post the translations and rapidshare links in a seperate thread when I get back home and can upload files a little faster. I can do the Chinese part but I don't speak Russian. Any Russian speakers willing to do the same for israpda?

can you explain the difference between this 20270-20273 and the one found here which has a bigger version number (20757):

(i have to admit that i m a little lost with all these versionings

I found the program GPS QK Position cannot be worked in this ROM. it said the download is sucessfully but it keeps the status said the GPS data file is expried. Any idea of it?

yes same here I am a bit confused between the 20270 and the OS 5.2.20757 (Build 20757.1.4.0) Ver 1.5 which I cannot longer find on forum.israpda.com !
1- could you also please tell me where you got the 20273 you mentioned from?

I can not open the compressed file is corrupt
can be downloaded from another party?

Ipaq 600 call waiting fix for fw0.88!!

i will start by saying i didn’t have the call waiting problem
but I did upgrade to 0.89 radio (test, have a look/see) and when doing so checked the hp callwaiting fix
4 me i found radio 0.89 not as good as the fw0.88 (bad on battery,wifi on/off time,gps, working with igo8.. )
anyway before returning to 0.88 I have modified the callwaiting fix to work on the 0.88 radio
I confirmed it was working on 2 devices of a friends that did had that problem
the only issue is that there is a mute on the first ring then every thing is o.k.

the 600 has different ID num (location of purchase...) and I wanted 2 know if it works on all 600 series (like hp SIM patch that fit only specified models)

Hi,
I did extract the cab from the HP local pach for SIM problems.
would you know how to make it "universal" for 600 series ?
I suppose I should extract a DLL inside the cab, modifie it then recompil the cab but it is above what I am able to do.

what happens when you install this cab?

Mine is FA992AT#ABB
ABB is my contry ID, I gess ABF is for France.
If I could change my country ID by editing the registry, it could be the simplest way but I did a search with the word "ABB" in my registry editor and found nothing.

For me it didn't work. It was installed fine, rebooted, but the problem is still there (the conversation is muted all the time when the second person rings).
So I disabled the call waiting feature and there is no problem at all now.
The second person who wants to talk with me will get a "number is busy" message and will have to call back later.
That's the best solution for me.

did you install to device memory ?
do you have wm6 or 6.1? (4 now i know it works on hp wm6 only )
if you use hp wm6 ... then what is your product id?

btw the call waiting fix is the one in the first post!

I have installed the call waitting fix from your first post. When the install wizard asked me I chosed main memory (not Ipaq files or storage card). Then I restarted the device.

i think this is the problem ,i didn't try to fit it to the 6.1 (havent installed it...) only the hp orig rom

after a week, I can tell that this fixe is not harmfull for non designed country ID products.
I havn't had any unwanted softresets in a week so I can tell that this fix is working for MY problem.
I am not a heavy user of connection tools like wifi, bluetooth, GPRS, 3G and so one so I cannot tell if this fix is harmfull to connection tools.
the only thing I know is I can phone as normal, and I tried to connect to wifi and download weather data and it works.
As It is not harmfull for me I think I can give it for public download on this site.
It worked for me but it doesnt mean it may work for you so please backup your data before to try it.

[REQUEST] Searching for a simeple tiny rom!

Hello every one.
First of all happy new year and may all your wishes come true.
Then lest start:
3+ years ago i bought the blackstone. now about 1+ year i have the galaxy s2.
I gave the blackstone to my mother sow she could only buy a simonly contract.
I put a custum firmware on ot from "blackSTONEhenge™ HyPer with Manila"
tho this rom is good looking its is full with bugs. when my mother is calling some one the mobile wil crash after?30+ sec and reboot.
it give rong battery values(precentage) and the smoothness is too low is laggy. I have orderd a new battery 1500mha but the rom is bothering me.
i dont know if the rom is overclocking the proccesor or not.
i want to instal a tiny rom witch have all the functions the mobile has to offer. and is smooth like hell.
if there isnt any could you plz give me the most recent offical firmware?
i dont want the landscape mode in it...<it will alwys fail!
its a long time ago that i have flashed the rom also.... and i dont have the htc software...
if some one could suggest me a basic rom and a short explanation how to install the custom firmware i would be very happy.
i cant remember some things...there is a keycombo to a rgb screen witch i dont know...
there shoud be drivers that you have to manualy assing to when you are in rgb mode? (dont have the drivers)
and the install program witch would be with the rom suggested.
ps. sorry for breaking the rules but the most active people are here and this wil be the fastes way to get some help.

Default I set a pagepool (16MB Manila ROM) which is enough for most of the flashers.
If you want you can increase/decrease the value. It is a sort of RAM cache for frequent used files.

its not editable....and what is the maximum size?

Max=0: Managed by Windows Mobile.
Only editable before flashing.

[Request] Toshiba Portege G910 / Original Firmware !

Hello Xda Users.
I am releasing a Windows Mobile ROM.
The device I've worked on is the Toshiba Portege G910
(probably many of you will remember my numerous questions in this forum. )
and..... Finally, after "years of study" I'm doing it.
The ROM si ready on my PC, but I still need an original (stock) ROM for this device, otherwise the new Rom won't work properly and I couldn't add very important apps to it (as for example the camera...)
A long time ago I found Stock Roms on the Toshiba website.
But now the link is not avaible anymore.
Please, can anyone upload for me (on any website) an original/stock ROM for this device?
P.S.
I also remeber that, a lot of stock ROMs for the G910, were stored in the forum section of "www.4pda.ru" but this website is in russian language and it's totaly understandable for me, even if I try to translate it.
Please, can any russian man simply search the stock ROM for me?
If you help me I will include you and your profile/website in the credits of this project
(Soon the Rom will be avaible here and on my website)

It seems to me that the official firmware isn't in the "4pda" forum, I found 2 links in another website (it's always russian...)
But the file has been removed by the File-Hosting service,

my last hope is that some "ex-Toshiba-G910" owner stored it in his old Hard-Drive or PC... (please help)

Rom GT08 mtk6261a

Hi Guys.
I have a problem with my smartwatch. It looks like a GT08 but it has MTK6261A and not MTK6260A. I did a mistake. I tried to flash the rom but maybe i used a wrong rom. So now the screen is white and i cant use it. What can i do? There is any way to install a mtk6160a rom? Or to convert any gt08 for my chipset? I tried a lot of roms but nothing. Or anyone with this gt08 clone can share his firmware please?

So you have a a 32Mb NOR hence you can flash just 32Mb firmwares

Unfortunately there is no way (yet) to change watch faces for firmwares fitting 32Mb
I can't tell a reliable source, nowadays, the market is flooded by clones . . .

I have a GT08 watch. I flashed it from NeedRom ROM v1.2. It flashed OK but screen has turned white and colors are inverted. Please tell how to rectify this issue. I saw all your posts and tried flashing it with your other ROMS (both 32 and 64 MB). But same issue with 64 MB ones. 32MB roms are not getting flashed and show some MAUI error for incorrect ID.
Please help.

on needroom v1.2 it is a 128Mb, why did you try then to flash 64Mb? search for collection of firmwares 6260 we have here (in my threads) and then try flashing normal firmwares (bv08, gt08, dz09, or whatever interface you like)

i had flashed my firmware ad curret firmware is XDA GT08 mtk6261 32Mb th.marci but touch is not workig and screen is upside down

I've tried all roms of this folder, and no one works, just one, but the display is inverted.
