Hi All,
can anyone share the steps for the latest version of GCAM(google camera )to install in moto g5 plus, currently running oreo os with moto g5 plus?
On Oreo I've never found a Gcam that worked, but many people point to this site: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/ You can find versions that are supposed to work with Oreo.
Hi there, i'm using two different types of gcam in my moto g5 plus: 6.1.021.220943556 and 5.2.025.198487658. Both finded in the site above ^ celsoazevedo. Another thing, I don't know if these versions are working on oreo because my moto g is running HavocOS. But, if you're interested, the link to download and how to install the ROM is in the forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus too
Hello everyone,i want to share the gcam mod that worked best for me!

I have tried the latest version by the same developer (7.6.008, v7) and seems to work fine on crDroid 7.6 / Android 11.
I also tried a few of the "suggested" apks, but everything else I tried seemed to crash.

Is there a way to get the google camera app on the s8+ ?
Yes you can install the apk but you have to go back to the last 7.0 compitable version. The newer versions for 7.1 won't work. This is the version I'm using on my S8:
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/camera/camera-4-1-006-135988111-release/
U can try the the camera nx. (V5.4 and under, Android 7.0+, ARM 64. ( currently, V4+ will only works on 7.1.1 DP1 , 7.1 custom rom users can find solution below. Android 7.0 users please choose the No ZSL version)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ne...d-google-camera-4-2-nexus-5x-android-t3477980
The non zsl version is working for me(taking normal photo), the rest I have not tested.

what is the latest compatible version of googlecamera for moto g4 plus ? i would like to install without root..
any possibility guys ?
Google camera legacy i.e. version 2.
Google camera version 3 and above are not compatible with athene you'll need a compatible device like nexus or pixel to use newer versions of google camera.
I am not aware of any patched/modified or ported versions which works with athene but legacy version 2.7.010 works excellent with almost all the roms. You can download GoogleCam_Legacy zip from this link https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9tngVBGIajVT0c1RjN3bjdPYTQ and flash it in twrp

I do not believe that Athene is limited to 2.7.XXX. I've used the ARM version of Google 4.X (not sure which it was) and it's worked well. It's only from 4.3 that there's only ARM64 builds.
So, respectfully, I think you can safely use up to 4.2, albeit a modded APK.

Yes I have myself used version 4.2.x on AOSiP 5.8 https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72036148&postcount=100
But something has changed and now version 3 and above doesn't work it will force close/crash.
Earlier even appropriate opengapps package used to flash v4.2.x but now it flashes legacy version (below v3).

Gcam is not working on my nokia 6.1 plus. I was using 6.1.013 version and everything was working fine except night sight. it was crashing the app. I tried updating to 6.1.021 version and now it doesn't even start. It seems I have to install 6.1.013 again.
If anyone have a working version of Gcam for nokia 6.1 plus, please share.
Thanks
Try this one
It works for me. I have Nokia 6.1 Plus as well.
Here's the link: celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera
And download MGC_6.1.021_V1.apk by BSG

I have tried a few different versions of Gcam for Redmi Note 7 from here:
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
But I don't see any difference. Any ideas?
My phone is not rooted. I used the Camera 2 API app but don't understand the results.
This is what I usually use on my RN7, the most updated version of the GCAM / BRAZIL website

Hi Clyde. I see you're on Android Pie, and you say your phone isn't rooted. However, are you running a custom ROM, or are you still on stock MIUI?
I'm running the Pixel Experience ROM on a rooted Redmi Note 7, and the GCam variant that works best for me is the HyperCam E3 with the SayHi XS 2.0 XML configuration file. Here is a link to the GCam Brasil website where you will find all available HyperCam versions: https://gcambrasil.com.br/dev/hypercam-app.
Here is the download link for HyperCam E3 for Android Pie, and here is the download link for the SayHi XS 2.0 XML configuration file. Additionally, you might need the following link to tell you what XML files are, and how to use them: How to Load/Save XML Configs.
HyperCam E3 is a GCam 6.x variant, so your XML files will go in the /GCam/Configs/ folder which you will manually create at the root of your internal storage. This should be enough to get you started. Please give it a try and let us know how it goes. Good luck!

Hi Clyde. Thanks for the device information. Gcam or its variants, such as HyperCam, might not work as well on stock MIUI as on a rooted phone with a custom ROM, but you can still give it a try. You can try HyperCam E3 with the SayHi XS 2.0 XML config file I sent you, and let me know how it goes.
If you use pro settings on stock camera, then you can get visible small writings with the 800 ISO
I honestly think that stock is good for daily driver, especially with pro settings
