What the f*** is this test.pcm file that keeps showing every time in my Downloads folder, in my Samsung Galaxy S10+?????
It's a raw audio file (pulse code modulation)
Possibly some audio app you have or from connection to a Windows pc may be the culprit.

Ok. Talking about the wildfire default "Music Player" application here.
When "Music Player" scans any mp3 files (without embedded pic) for the 1st time, it checks for the presence of any picture in the folder where mp3 file is present. This happens with every folder where the mp3 files are present. Once pictures are found, it tags the picture file to the music file and shows it as an album art pic in the music player. The solution to this is make sure that the folder of mp3 files donot contain any picture files. Then for making fresh changes, go to settings/applications/manage applications/all/ then open "media storage" and clear data (then unmount and remount the mem card or just restart phone). Thats all.
And if two files (with diff. embedded pics kept in same folder) have the same album name, it shows single pic for both files.
There is an android app named "Mp3 Tag Editor" with which u can edit few things. And with PC app titled MP3 TAG, u can even change/remove the embedded pic. Below im attaching a doc file which might be helpful related to this.
[we might be thinking this as an issue, but this feature will be useful when we create different folders for mp3 files according to artist/album name. We can use our desired picture for a group of mp3 files (without embedded pic) if they are kept in a folder along with that picture.]
I can transfer regular documents and music, but anytime I try to transfer a video my computer will completely freeze. I'm not sure if it's videos or any large file but I'm not sure what to do here. Anybody have this issue?
Try using/getting a better computer?
More I information about "computer" would help. What OS, how much memory, what proc, size of the file, hard drive size etc. otherwise it sounds like someone saying "yeah my car is making this noise" not very specific you know?
-win7-64
-2ghz intel core 2 duo
-4GB ram
-tried files ranging from 200mb to 700mb
Have no problem transferring the same file to galaxy S. Using Kies it doesnt give me the option to "add file to device" or anything.
The tab still shows up as portable device GT-P7510. Cannot get it as a mass storage device.
I remember reading a article that windows phone 8 has a new api out that for example would let u download a mp3 through the browser and add it to your media library on the device without needing to sync w/ a computer to do this.
has anyone tested this out yet? is it possible?
also if this is possible would i be possible for us to have a winrar/winzip app on wp8 now and download those file types and add the contents to our media library all on the device? or even a file explorer of some sorts since we are now able to send/receive music files from what ive been reading
heres a article on apps adding music/media into the music hub
Windows Phone 8 has new API for loading music from Apps into the Music Hub | WMPoweruser
"Winphoneviet, who leaked the most recent Windows Phone 8 SDK, reports that the SDK has new APIs, including one called SaveSongOperation which allows one to load music into the Xbox Music Library, just like developers can now save pictures to the Picture Hub.
The freedom would for example allow developers to download music from the internet and add it to the music bug, or transfer music via Bluetooth and do the same."
I tried to download an MP3 from sound cloud trought Internet explorer on my lumia and it only streamed the file,it wouldn't let me download it in order to save it
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Indeed...
I just did a standard "press and hold" and there was no download option (open in a new tab, copy link, and share link).
That is very disappointing.

Videos Not Showing
Hi all,
Having a bit a trouble finding any of the videos on my phone. I've recorded a couple 4k and slow mo vids, as well as have videos from my previous phone that I've transferred over. I am able to see/play them on the phone, but when connecting to my PC (Win 10) with MTP mode chosen, they and their save folders aren't visible on the phone. For example, the internal videos on the phone are located in the DCIM/Camera folder. When going into the DCIM folder on the phone via Windows, there is no Camera folder. Perhaps something else of note is that my Camera FV-5 app's folder is not visible in there either. Am I doing something wrong, or is Windows at fault?
Device: Samsung Galaxy S4
Model: GT-I9505
Android Version: 5.0.1
Running: Official
Essentially what happened was that I was taking videos when I went to see some bands. These videos were varying between 3 to 7 minutes long and I am sure I stopped filming as I kept the app open in between songs. One video had managed to save correctly and it was 5:58 minutes at 732MB.
I had gotten the impression that the videos just didn't save correctly as the LOST.DIR folder on my SD got ~3GB larger that night and there are some files that are around the size that the videos would've been (~400MB to ~1000MB). If these are the actual videos, is it possible for me to recover the videos from these files or are they not in a recoverable state?
I really hope I can at least get some light shed on this situation.
(I would've added pictures to show some of the files but this is my first post and I can't share links)
get a half decent file browser and rename them to match the file extension of the working video. you might need to move them or delete the .nomedia file before they'll show up in your gallery

I've renamed some of the larger files with the .mp4 extension in LOST.DIR and I tried opening them (I did this with ES File Explorer) and I couldn't open them. I had the messages "Sorry, this video can't be played" and "File has incorrect data"
