This seems to be common in LOS16/Pie ROMs. The workaround I use is to boot directly to recovery, by holding Power+Vol up+Home, release when you see the blue letters. From recovery, select Reboot > System

hi, my phone has stuck on the "google" icon when i start it. I have tried the "bootmode" you know when you hold volume and on/off button. There i tried to push on "reboot", "recovery", nothing is happening same thing. The only thing i have managed so far is installing driver usb for android phone in my computer, but i cant find the phonefolder in "My computer" to put reboot/update files to make the phone work.
How can i make the phone work? please help me im not so good at this.

Check the links kenvan posted above.
You don't want to see the phone mounted as USB, you need to see it with the fastboot command from your DOS or unix terminal.
Then push ClockWork recovery to the phone.
From CW recovery you should be able to use it's tools to get you running again, or at least adb should work so you can mount storage and push files to it via adb.
I'd love to help you but I need a little more background... did you just buy the phone and this is happening? Or did you try rooting it and this is happening? Or did you just flash a different rom and this is happening?

Ok since you say you have a padlock on the boot screen, I assume you know how you unlocked the bootloader.
Turn the phone on into fastboot (hold power and volume up), then connect the phone to the computer via USB. Flash clockwork recovery (3.0.0.5 preferred) and then you should be able to enter clockwork recovery assuming you did it correctly. Push this rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884093) to your card and flash it in recovery.

Yes i know, can you be more specific`? step by step? im noob sorry for bothering you., how do i push to my card?
I have fixed my phone, my phone was liquid damaged. So i putted the hole mainboard in 100% alcohol and after 20 min i took it out and let it dry. And then it worked fine!
It just happened to me an hour ago. I tried for a few time to remove the battery and start it up (even with a new one). I also thought it might happen since the battery was drained so i let it recharge for a while with no success.
Eventually i attached the device to the computer's usb, waited and started it. and it worked.
Don't know if that was what solving it - but it back working.
my problem is kind of abnormal. i couldnt find solution anywhere so i came here. my device was zenfone 5(t00f)/lollipop.
so i wanted to root my phone. i followed this guide >>
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/general/zenfonetoolkit3-24-40-87-t3406557
the tool i used is called ZenfoneToolkit_20160719, downloaded from here
HTML:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0AFmAAcGS5xbWpTQzBQVTN3b1k
. its a bundle of .exe, .dll, .img, .bin files. but no need to work on them seperately, there is a simple cli tool from which you can choose what you want to do and it executes that file for you. below is the list what you can do.
1. Wipe Cache
2. Factory Reset
3. Flash Boot
4. Flash Recovery
5. Flash Fastboot
6. Flash Stock ROM
7. Root
8. Unroot
9. Unlock Bootloader
10. Relock Bootloader
11. Zenfone Rescue aka Debrick
12. Fixing Generic IMEI 004999010640000
13. Backup MicroSD
14. Flash Boretz Kernel Lollipop
so wiped cache[1] first then i tried to root[7]. sadly it didnt work, when i turned the phone on it took me to fastboot screen, there i had only a few options like, normal boot(doesnt happen), recovery mode, restart. when i turned it off and pressed power and volume up together it would go to recovery where none of the options works. i though that was what called brick, so followed this guide to make my life better
HTML:
http://zenfone-blog.blogspot.com/2015/06/guide-how-to-unbrick-asus-zenfone-4-5-6.html
.
my phone by default came with kitkat. so when i downloaded the firmware i wanted to get a kitkat. but i couldnt find a matching recovery img and firmware for kitkat on asus official page. so i downloaded jellybean. ASUS ZenFone 5(T00F/T00J) software Image: V1.18.40.9 ww for firmware from here
HTML:
https://www.asus.com/support/Download/39/1/0/2/96nqlxHp1VKV4Rdz/32/
. and recovery img is 1.18.40.9_ww_recovery.img from here
HTML:
https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/s/644D9E0A19714899974C75FC4B6C87EDY
. i dont know what "ww" means in those name but i saw it in my software version before so i went with it.
All the steps went smoothly, by the end of it i guessed my phone charge would be low so i put it in charge and turned it on. first time it turn on without a problem. i checked out a few things and leave it for charge. after a while i came back and battery was 0%. i thought i would be wise to plug out and in charging port again. as soon as i pull out the pin, screen instantly turned black and the phone went dead after a looooong ass vibration.
now when i try to charge the orenge light at top lights up but the animation that shows battery always show its empty. if i try to turn it on while plugged, it shows asus logo/intel logo and goes dead again. if i try to turn it on without being plugged, it shows a battery logo with a question mark, which i think means the phone cannot find battery.
i am stuck here.... plz someone be my savior.
Hello my dear, to get out of this problem I did the following: I connected the phone to compuador by USB cable (with himself off), then he calls and gets the question symbol, it held the power button plus volume up he must restart to get the logo asus about 4 seconds after loose the power button and continue with the volume button up insured. It should enter into fastboot mode there do the necessary procedures to reflash the system.
I hope you helped, hug!

Hi All,
I have bought a LeECO Max 2 on internet (from China) and got it with battery not charged. After charging the battery I started the phone normally but it keeps hanging to the LeECO boot image with powered by Android and some text "Breaking boundaries" or "I'm not just a phone I am an internet ..." and it does vibrate from time to time ...
After some tests, it appears that I can entered to the Recovery mode and while trying to clear data it says clear failed ... I restart the phone but still the same. I can also boot in the Fastmode but not sure how this would help.
I would like to know how could I put TWRP on my phone and if I could install a new ROM as I think the phone was delivered without any ROM!!
Thank you

hi everyone , i require a little assistance regarding my phone not charging when switched off.
i am running Dr Ketan's M12 with latest bootloader/modem on n910g.
PROBLEM: my phone doesnt charge when switched off and i see no battery charging animation which we normally see when charging the phone when its switched off. There is no increase in battery even if i connect the phone to charger for an extended period (only when its off). Was normal on stock rom, but i'm having this problem after flashing this rom (after clean wipe) and doing it multiple times.
MORE INFO:when switched on- the phone charges normally , connects to computer normally , connects normally in download mode, charges normally in recovery mode. In short everything is normal except when the device is switched off. No bootloops, no frequent restarting . It becomes a problem when i'm completely out of battery and there is no way to charge it without switching it on (which i can't do).
and please tell me what files control the boot animation or charging itself while the device is off.
i dont see any hardware problem as everything works fine until and unless i dont switch off the phone. kindly enlighten me.
any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

Flash different bootloader for your model because that charging logo is in "param.bin partition" and it's in bootloader.
Or you have Look for boot splash logo zip file for your model.
That charging logo/download mode logo/samsung note 4 power by android splash logo/all is in "param.bin" partition.
Or you can request from someone to pull "param.bin" file using "terminal emulator"someone who has same model as you have and then you can push that file using "terminal emulator"
Do not flash other model param file otherwise it could possibly brick your device.
Look at link below how to pull and push "param.bin"

Thanks a lot for a quick reply. It seems pulling param.bin is easy but extracting files from it isnt in case of snapdragon variant.
As you said these files are in bootloader i will try different bootloaders and report.
Anybody on n910g having no above mentioned troubles , pls guide me to what bootloader you are on so that i can flash it and see.
First it started right into Odin Mode. After holding Volume Down and Power to exit it, the screen went black (as expected). However, afterwards it won't boot up again. Tried normal boot, recovery and download. Removed the battery and put it again, didn't work. Also tried various cables and outlets. Tried the sequence for download mode (holding Power + Volume Down + Home, then pressing Volume Up - even if it didn't show anything on screen) and connected it to my PC. The computer played the sound as if a device was connected, then after some seconds Windows said that the USB device was not recognized. Odin did not recognize it either. Samsung 300K tool doesn't work as well. Do you have any suggestions, please? It's quite urgent.
Try installing official device drivers Inform us after that what's happening. Thank you

I can't. It's not booting at all. Never rooted it or changed its ROM.
You mean it doesn't even show download mood or recovery mood?

Yes, not even the charging battery logo when it is powered on. Tried using an USB Jig, fails as well.

I'm sorry to say that.. It's a hardware related issue... U need to take it to service center to repair Thank you
I've flashed marshmallow stock on stock lollipop via Odin but after completion J500H boots and immediately resets or off after first boot screen appears. so please help that why this problem is here???
Also please tell that custom ROM can be installed on the J500H or not ( bootloops and restart issue immediately)
Is it possible to flash again? If yes...
Then first wipe delvik cache then flash again, before flashing make sure to untick auto reboot on odin's log option... After flashing done don't reboot immediately first wipe delvik cache then restart...
If it doesn't allow you to flash then u need to take it to service center...
Yes it's possible to install custom rom using Odin but sometimes it fails if usb debugging is not enabled! You can search on Google for that or any thread here.
