OK, if anyone is interested, I sorted the issue with Google play services by updating to version 19.0.56. I'm rooted with Magisk 19.3 and can confirm pay apps working at terminal

File is corrupt dude.

Ah sh*t, thanks for the heads up, I'll re-up load it as soon as I can and double check, sorry 'bout that :/

I have re-uploaded a new copy of the file to and updated the link to this one:
confirmed working, sorry about the previous attempt, my bad.

*NOTE* This version will upgrade your bootloader to version 6, and you will not be able to go back to previous versions.
I'm uploading this just incase anyone might find it useful, and for preservation.

Found Marshmellow Update Link for Honor 7
Hi,
I have purchased this phone but sadly its Model Number PLK-UL00 not PLK-L01. I have upgraded to the latest build EMUI4.0_PLK-UL00_6.3.1 which is Android Version 6.0.
My question is - can I upgrade to EU version of the firmware PLK-L01 B320 or less. All I want is to get rid of all the chinese apps and replace them with pure google + english ones. Please help
Can you make a banana milkshake with strawberries? You can't. Same with installing the European build Android on Indian, Chinese etc.

First of all, thanks for posting the link and secondly you can very well update you mobile as I have already done that with your link
Hi - Indian firmware version starts with PLK-UL00IN. My mobile firmware version is PLK-UL00. Shouldn't I be able to upgrade to the India firmware.
My apologies to the admin in advance as I have posted similar question in a different thread. But this thread is more suitable to the topic. I am a novice when it comes to firmware.
I tried updating , it failed.. the software update guidelines.pdf which was part of the update states "software version control problems, you should firstly upgrade a transfer package provided by R&D." wher do i get that ?

Hi I updated it with the link provided. Did the archive download properly? Since it's an internal document, I don't think the package is available in public domain. You can check for the rollback package which is given in one of the threads. It might work. Or use the honor multi tool.
Btw, this update is 2 steps forward and one step back. Some good features like visitor mode have been removed. Call recording has become problematic. Previously, I could record easily using boldbeast call recorder. Settings are much more difficult to find. On the positive side, battery backup has jumped tremendously. Plugged out at 9.40 am today. My phone is still at 75 percent at 6.30 pm with moderate use. There is no doze mode setting but I think they have incorporated some features as I can see that phone goes into sleep when screen is off much more frequently. Also, the awesome themes that lollipop had are no more there. Not even the live wallpapers. Mixed feelings about the update overall.

MD5 checksum is F697BB78C8E8202DC78716C8647E8706.
Yeah I was on 160 and did a local update as you suggested. Better download it again. But frankly, I am finding the update more regressive than progressive.

I think many of us may not be aware as how to perform local update in honor 7 which has marshmallow installed on it. I have gone through it and understand how it feels when you download an update and while trying to find local update option update app. Its frustrating and discouraging too. But I could find the way to do it on some other site. Its simple and easy. Just see below.
How to Update
Unpack the firmware package on your computer.
Transfer the extracted dload folder to your phone’s microSD card.
Take a backup of your important stuff using Huawei’s native app.
Safely unplug the USB cable and turn your phone off.
Reboot while holding Vol Up + Vol down + Power for a few seconds. Release Power upon vibration.
Once the upgrade starts let go of the volume keys and allow the installation to proceed.
And enjoy

Huawei P9 Lite EMUI 5.0 Upgrade Help! - VNS-L31C440B132

Hi all,
I've had my P9 Lite for about 10 months now and I haven't recieved one system update yet. I've been waiting for the OTA system update for EMUI 5.0 but alas, it hasn't come to my phone and I don't understand why. The phone Android security patch level is 1 June 2016 and that is worrying as well! My Build number is VNS-L31C440B132 and I was looking for a way to update to the latest availble version while also keeping my current phones data. The Updater in the settings always says there is no updates available and i've tried using 'Firmware Finder' as well but the updates failed.
I'd appreciate any help with the matter.
Thanks,
Charlie
Hello
Firmware here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/vns-l31c440b380-t3617778
In 1: maybe you can try the three-button method (dload).
In 2: try to do the update with the pc and HiSuite (update the system).
In 3: you can also test a firmware updater v2 application and hisuite. https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/huawei-p9-p9-plus-firmware-updater-t3435873
In 4: or do the bootloader code request and install recovery twrp for MM and install nougat.
Thanks for the help here, your method worked absolutely fine, I appreciate it. Nice to see a great community here.
Thanks,
Charlie

Hi Barbu,
I found a quick way to do this.
Downloading the updates might take a while so make sure your phone is on charge or charging.
First you want to go to the app store and download Firmware Finder (XDA wont let me post a link because I haven't posted 10 times so you'll have to search.
Then go to Settings > Use proxy for install > Download Addon. An apk will download, install this.
Then go to Firware Finder and click this magnifying glass at the bottom right to refresh. Then look for the update that ends in 'B160' and has 'FullOTA' in the name.
Click on it then > GET AN UPDATE THROUGH PROXY. You will be taken to the Proxy App where you need to follow the instructions on screen.
Then you need to go to your phone settings and click on 'Update'. After it scans and finds a new update you need to click on it and then quick install. While it's installing you might want to go back into your WiFi settings and change proxy to 'None' just in case there is connection issues.
Once that update is installing your going to want to repeat these steps but this time install 'B382 FullOTA'. This should give you EMUI 5.0 with loads of new features now!
It might work by install B382 straight away but it didn't for me.
I hope this helps!
Thanks,
Charlie
Hello, thanks for ur help
U said it didn't works for you but it should work for me huh ?
the problem is that mine is neither b160 nor B382 ... it' an b132... so it's not the appropriate file for my headset, no?
Sincerly, i'm a bit worried about this Update it seems like hack or jealbreak ... don't u think

I can assure you this isn't a "hack" or "jailbreak". Firmware Finder was even developed by members of the XDA community and it's 100% legit. I had the same problem as you Barbu, I was on B132 and wanted the new android 7 update but my phone is also on EE and it wasn't rolled out. All I did was what I detailed in the steps in my post and it worked, and B132, B160 and such are just the version number so installing the B160 will just give you a new firmware update.
Thanks,
Charlie
(Sorry I can't explain it better)

No. You need to wait until the update has installed. This might take a while as it has to download then your phone will restart and the update will install.
Thank u very much my friend i will tell u the news once the installation finished ...
last question: why don't install the b382 directly without installing the b160 ?

Just didn't work when I tried it so I thought it's better to be safe.
First, thanks for info and effort.
I did everything you wrote. But after I change proxy server, as it stands in Firmware Finder Proxy, and tap Update, nothing happens. There is no update. Maybe I didn't change proxy in right way. But, I googled it just in case, changed it again, and again there was no update.
One more thing. In Firmware Finder, there is firmware for VNS-L31C440B132 in the list. So, I did not chose "B160" and "B382" like you said. Then, I did as you instructed, and there was no update.
Any help?
Thanks.

First off, is there any other firmware in the list or just the one ending in B132?
And did you:
Click Get an update through proxy and they get taken to the proxy finder app where it gives you instructions on what to do to your WiFi settings? Because after you have done that go straight to settings > update > then check for a new update. A new update should appear in red.
If this didn't help just give me another shout and I'll try and help more. If not, there is some firmware finder threads on here as it was developed by person/peoples from the XDA community.
Thanks,
Charlie

I did it!
This time I followed your instructions, first B160 then B382 but not via GET AN UPDATE THROUGH PROXY, but GET AN UPDATE THROUGH DNS (BETA). And it all worked for me.
Regarding your instruction, I couldn't get an update for B132, no matter what I tried and how I changed proxy server.
In the list there are 8 firmwares. FullOTA B383/382/380/370/160/132 and OTA B160/132. Then I tried B132 FullOTA through dns (beta), I got an update, everything went well, but when I checked About phone, there was no change, Emui and android version did not change. Then I tried with B132 OTA, but it failed during installation, twice. Finally, I tried B160 FullOTA first, then B382 FullOTA through dns, and now my phone is on Android 7.0 and EMUI 5.0.
Through dns is just 3 taps, then check update and that's all.
Guys, give it a try both ways, hope you will succeed.
Charlie, thank you for information.
Hello Charlie
I followed ur méthod step by step ans it works with me even if it took thé entité day about 10h....
Now i'm runing on nugat 7 thank u very much for ur help ... But I think once Android 8 rolled out WE have to do the same thing, didn't it ?

Like many other disappointed EE customers who never got a single OTA update for their VNS-L31C440B132 I would like to use this method as it looks pretty straightforward (no unlocking bootloaders/rooting etc) but I may be too late to the party:crying:. Without showing all the details, FF currently lists the following available firmware for my device:
VNS-L31C440B383, VNS-L31C440B382, VNS-L31C440B380, VNS-L31C440B160, VNS-L31C440B160, VNS-L31C440B132, VNS-L31C440B132
The only ones that are approved are both the B132s which are OTAs and there is no longer a B160 that is a full OTA update. They are just (incremental?) OTAs. FullOTAs now start from B380. Perhaps the files I need are no longer available. Is it time to give up, or am I missing something here? Fortunately I now also have a Lenovo P2 with global ROM which DOES get OTA updates!
**Update**. I emailed DEV and they think Huawei may have moved some firmwares but that the missing ones may re-appear in a future scan of their servers, so I will periodically check to see.
Cheers

Last night i managed to update my phone from VNS-L31C440B132 to VNS-L31C440B383 using the method in this thread. I installed the B160 OTA update first through firmware finder via proxy. It listed it as only 740mb (ish) but when i actually installed it through system update it downladed 1.74GB (ish) which installed fine. I then updated to B383 through firmware finder via proxy again which worked fine too. Give it a go it worked for me

Oh great. Thanks. Did you bother with either of the B132s dated 2016.07.14 first (perhaps they are patches for B132) or did you just start with B160? There are 2 B160s dated 2016.10.16 (753MB and 166MB). Did you do a "Check Firmware Access" to see if it was approved? It isn't for me, but perhaps it works anyway. I wonder why the one listed for you was 740MB (perhaps the sizes aren't that accurate)? Are you then saying you missed out B380 and B382 full OTAs and went straight to B383? Sods law is B383 isn't showing up right now, but hopefuly it'll return soon lol

I didnt bother with any B132 updates. I went for the biggest B160 update which probably was 753MB but when i actually went through the update app it downloaded 1.74GB. I didnt check firmware access. After it had updated to B160 i installed B382. I mistyped B383 earlier sorry. I am now running B382 and everything is working great

Thanks for coming back on this. Unfortunately I haven't been able to install B160 yet. After selecting the 753MB B160 OTA I selected "get an update through proxy" and modified the network settings. I returned to the FF app and selected "download". I am presented with the following list of selectable options: 1)update.zip ee/gb/ 2)update_data_full_ee_gb.ziphw/default/ 3)update_data_full_hw/default.zip hw/eu 4)update_data_full_hw_eu.zip hw/normal 5)update_data_full_hw_normal.zip
I selected just option 1 and ok and the download started. I left the network settings as localhost and 8080 until after the download completed. I ended up with a file called update.zip size 1.69GB in folder Local>Internal storage>HWFF>98030> but have no idea what to do next to complete the install. Should an install option have appeared at the end of the download or more options appear in the FF app settings? Huawei Updater ("Check for updates") doesn't see it. I don't have an external SD card but don't see why it would need one. Not sure how to proceed, but at least I haven't broken anything

P8 (original) firmware updated to GRA_L09C432B520

I must admit, I'd given up looking for, and any hope of ever getting another P8 update - it was on GRA_L09C432B398.
But, turned it on this morning to see it demanding a restart after having automatically downloaded and installed an OTA update to GRA_L09C432B520.
Rebooted and following an anxious wait (whilst it optimised the memory), there it was: See attachment
Afterwards, I checked Firmware Finder, but nothing listed there after …B399.
Android patch level is only to 1st Jan 2018
Hi
On this link you will find the downloadable update B520 and who has experience.
mobilarena.hu/tema/re_huawei_p8_nekik_nem_8/friss.html
Is there anyone who have downloaded and tested it ? Is there other "sure" download source ?
Hey,
if you are running B399 you have t go back to the last official version which is B398 first.
B399 was never officially released.
After reboot into B398, the regular OTA update should work and bring you the option to download B520. As far as I can see, there is still no FULL Update available for B520.
For me this worked wthout issues. B520 is running as good as B399.
Yes, kudos to Huawei for releasing this security update on a relatively old machine.
It makes me more inclined to trust them in the future.
B520 seems to work well for me.

Thank you for your answer.

Have a look here:

Please be aware of the branding. So do not use the vodafone branded file if you are using a non branded version at the moment.
Oh it's easier than I thought so. Thank you!

oreo update with hisuite for frd-l09c432

now oreo update is available in hisuite for frd-l09c432 and frd-l09c10
it is official
Today? I've updated officially through hisuite my FRD-L09 in Italy on 16th August, where do you live?
Did mine update this morning via Hisuite also my device LRD-L09 (C432) all factory standard phone.
So far all seem smooth using Nova Launcher as I just used to this..
Update:
Huawei file manager in Oreo is 10.1.2.302.EU and this offered me an OTA update package to 10.1.2.303 EU. which I had downloaded. Now after this update File manger I could not select any file apk, image, doc, mp4 with file manger shutting down once said file was selected. I had cleaned the cache rebooted device still same thing. So I downloaded and install a 3ed party file manager and this worked as it suppose to.
I could not uninstall Huawei file manager update via phone, so I connected the phone to a computer and used Hisuite to uninstall the new File manager update so its back to 10.1.2.302EU build and all is working as it should. Also uninstall the 3rd party file manger..
Did anyone experience such issue?

Hello,
I don't understand why I'm still in Android 7 (FRD-L09C432B405). I see a lot of people with Oreo on a L09. I tried with HiSuite and OTA and still nothing. Any idea ?
Thank you

I'm unable to find an Oreo update. I have a L09C432 in B412 (EMUI 5.0.3).
I tired :
-via System update
-via System update (Full package)
-via HiSuite last version (8.0.1.303_OVE)
My bootloader locked, I'm not rooted, I don't have custom recovery..

I have info from Huawei Support .
"The update was rolled out on 20.08.18. From this day on it can take up to 8 weeks until it is available on your device. So I can only ask for your patience at the moment."
So there are 15 days to update All that's left is to wait

Guys dont become too excited. We got Oreo on HiSuite at the end of August. (Hungary)
But a couple of days ago there was a new OTA update, after that (B412) we cant update to Oreo anymore.
Because B412 doesnt see the Oreo as an update, and if someone is on B407, the newest rom will be B412 for him/her.

I live in Hungary too and have this exact model (L09C432) I did the full OTA for B412 last week.
Before that I was in B405, I tried to update via HiSuite the whole september month (with an hungarian IP address), in vain..
Never been able to get the B407 either BTW
Before the B412, u had to touch the tree small square/circle in the update menu, then u could select "Download newest full update package" or something like that. Now it will pop u up the 412.
Check Hungarian Prohardver forum. I will upload the B521, Oreo Full-Ota-Mf-PV ROM at the weekend, then u will be able to install that through the 3 button method or service menu. If u need u will find there a tutorial too, it doesn't need root anything like that.
Cheers mate

Do you have root on your phone?
Is the 7.1.1 version original?
What kind of error occurs on your phone?
