1. I set a reminder on my phone from Goole Calendar app, and when the time comes I get the following notifications:
- PHONE: notification from GOOGLE CALENDAR with one action only: COMPLETE
- WATCH: notification from GOOGLE CALENDAR with one action only: COMPLETE + notification form GOOGLE REMINDER with three actions: ARCHIVE, POSTPONE, SHOW ALL
I guess this happens because on phone there is only GOOGLE CALENDAR app and no GOOGLE REMONDER app, while on WATCH there are both apps.
2. I set a reminder on my phone from Goole Assistant, and when the time comes I get the following notifications:
- PHONE: notification from GOOGLE ASSISTANT with two actions only: 1h (delay) and COMPLETE
- WATCH: no notification (reminder still listed in GOOGLE REMINDER app)
3. I set a reminder on my watch from Goole Remidert, and when the time comes I get the following notifications:
- PHONE: notification from GOOGLE ASSISTANT with two actions only: 1h (delay) and COMPLETE
- WATCH: no notification (reminder still listed in GOOGLE REMINDER app)
So like point 2.
4. The reminders appear
- PHONE: in GOOGLE CALENDAR and in GOOGLE ASSISTANT
- WATCH: only in GOOGLE ASSISTANT (GOOGLE CALENDAR app on watch does not support reminders)
I've always hated the Google Calendar's lack of snooze options so I've been using Calendar Snooze for years: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitfire.development.calendarsnooze&hl=en_US
I don't know why the description says it's no longer supported but it's still working fine for me on my Pixel 2 XL.

Like most smartphone users: I live out of my calendar app.
When adding my schedule at work, I have to constantly select my Gmail calendar - for every new event - in order to sync to the cloud. The default is always the phone's 'My Calendar', which I never use.
It's not the end of the world, but when I get into the groove of adding events, I sometimes forget to change the setting.
Is there a way to delete that default, or is there a way to default new events to always be placed under your google account's calendar, or is this a bug / lack of foresight on Samsung's behalf?
I suppose the alternative is to do this all from Google's web app -- but I'd rather just be able to tap the info into the phone's default app.
Thanks.
Several aspects of the phone act this way. I think Samsung still doesn't quite get the google-centric nature of most android users.
Hello.
Each time i add a new event in S Planner i have to manually add notification on each event and its kind of annoying.
Is there a way i can get a 15 minutes default reminder when adding a new event so i dont have to press "More options, then add 15 minute notification" on each event?
If possible i would like to do this without adding another calendar app, but if thats not possible, i would like recommendations on good calendar apps. (I know this is possible on the google calendar app, but i dont like the interface)
+1. Using the reminders more and more and this is a pain.

Reminders are non syncing properly in app and widget on Android (ok on wev).
Here's my scenario, tested on a phone and a tablet.
Add reminder in app: it shows on Web but not on app and not on widget.
Force sync in app: still nothing on app and nothing on widget.
Add normal event in app: even is added on Web and on app and on widget AND reminder now shows up also on app and on widget.
Delete reminder in app: reminder is deleted from Web but not from app and not from widget.
Delete event in app: event is deleted on Web and on app and on widget AND reminder is also deleted from app and from widget
It seems the problem is a display problem.
For example, if I modify a reminder on app, the changes appear on Web but not on app, still if I click the reminder in app it is opened with the changes made.
Also, if I delete a reminder from app, it is deleted from Web but not from app, yet if I click the reminder on app I get an error "reminder not found. As a proof: if I set a reminder it does not show in app but I get a notification when time comes!!!!!!!
I am having the same problem on Tab S2 8"
On the calendar forum someone us suggesting it's only a Samsung problem.
Anyone else?
Thanks
Please can someone try?
Google keeps on telling it's a Samsung problem.

I'm not asking too much, just try and see if you have the same problem as myself.
5 minutes...
Thanks
Try deleting the apps data and cache in settings. Do the same to google framework
Hi, as mention in my tittle, my settings keep reverting to default as if the changes don't get saved. For e.g. Assessibility, I have changed setting to enable apps with gestures to have access but after a few hrs. It request for the same permission. The same occurs with Google play games and I can't access it in battery saver mode? Is this a bug or something? Currently using JOYUI, most updated version.
Yep, this has been brought to their attention. It's been documented.
Google Calendar not syncing {option does not even appear}
When I look into permission manager or battery management, I always allow "googleCalendarSync" and all other google services to be check. Especially for autostart features. However, I just can't seem to get the calendars to sync. When I look it over under accounts> google> calendar does not appear at all. I have contacts, play services etc but not for calendar? Does anyone know what is wrong with it ? or has a fix assuming its googleCalendarSync issue?
Is it on demo mode? Hmm

its not on demo mode, I own a xiao mi mi 6 so I am familar with the battery management features and auto-start permission to allow notifications from telegram, email and whatsapp. All works except calendar where under SYNC, google, calendar does not appear at all. I also can't add other calendars under the default calendar app. Any updates fixing this?
You can fix the calendar sync issue by first uninstalling rhe google calendar sync in apps list, then install google calendar from play store.
Once that is done, the other calendar accounts will appear in your calendars app
I've enabled Google Play Services, Play Store etc. using Datastream33's Fire Toolbox v. 19 and all my Google apps work perfectly except the the Google Calendar app. I actually use the Calendar Widget which I like a lot. Several sub-calendars from which to choose are supposed to appear with checkboxes in on the last setup page, but it is always blank no matter which Calendar Widget I'm trying to install and I've tried more than 6 in the Play Store in addition to the Calendar Widget. I just re-enabled the Amazon Calendar and Contacts based on a suggestion in Datastream33's thread but that didn't solve the problem. Does anyone have any helpful ideas?
Thanks
