No. not with this unit. This unit goes up to Android 8 phones with Android Auto. Try Headunit Reloaded.

I have a Henhaoro G711HZA5 7in Android 5.1 head unit, not so stable with minimal support. really needs software upgrades.
mirrors through USB (Easy Connect & Drive Mode apps), but does not recognize Android Auto. Music on this unit sounds better directly played from the unit or external usb thumb drive plus a downloaded player that includes extra EQ bands.
HOW DO I GET Android Auto working through USB? to use my phone's stability.
OR IS THERE AN UPGRADE to Android 6, that will work for this unit ?
Android 5.1 Kernel 3.10
ARM version: 16.08.08_V00E
MCU version: 17.06.06_01_13M
MT8127 Quad Core 1.3GHZ Cortex A7
You can't. That is not an android auto head unit. It is an ANDROID head unit.

Give Headunit Reloaded a try. It's a reimplementation of the headunit server for Android Auto, and runs on Android head units. It's available as a pay app on the play store, or through XDA Labs. It's maintained by a fellow XDA member here:

Quite possible. I know there are several ways of setting up Headunit reloaded, but since I don't use AA or Headunit Reloaded myself, I can't really make specific suggestions.
Might be worth making a post on the application thread I linked, and asking the users there for advice.
Best of luck!

can you explain it, you mean Android Auto APP unit ? What I meant is Android Auto/car(not the app) unit because it has amplification, GPS, radio(without internet) and the OS is Android.
Processor type- UltraOcta-T8
Android version- 7.1.2
MCU- 5.3.19-94-84-E06101-180111
System ver- v9.2.2_20180314.153952_TW2-FD
I have the Xtrons tr100 which has been a very great upgrade from the last unit I had, especially the sound quality. The only problem I'm having is an issue with the bluetooth which will not connect to my obd2. When i search for bluetooth devices the obd2 does show up, when I press and hold on obd2 3 options pop up which are ok, obd2, and cancel. I tried all options with no success. I went into the extra settings and chose bc6 and/or bc8 with no luck. Anything elee I'm missing or could try?
Hi, Your unit appears to be an allwinner unit and so posting in the android auto forums you might not get a response. Here's a starter for you:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=5.3.19
Thanks a lot

Hi Marchnz,
you said above that "trigga_b Your unit appears to be an allwinner unit and so posting in the android auto forums you might not get a response." would be better on a different thread why is that?
I have the same head unit TR100 and after searching for Xtrons TR100 I ended up here do you not consider this an android head unit it is running Android 7.1 nougat

Hi,
I have just installed a Dasaito 7 inch head unit running Android 9 into my Jeep Wrangler. Everything is good except Android Auto, when I try and install the App from the Play Store onto the head unit I get an error telling me that the device is not compatible with this version.
Has anyone solved this issue or can help?
Thanks.
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to see if anyone has seen or has any ideas about integrating bi-directional functions into the OS. I’ve seen a lot of scan tools built on Android that let you check and operate the system modules on the vehicle. Seems like a great tool to have for any vehicle problems so I was hoping to find something similar to the scan tools that I can run on Android Auto OS. Maybe I am over looking something. My plan is to use a Raspberry Pi 4b 8gb model for my project. Thanks for any advice.
I'm looking for a bidirectional USB dongle that will integrate with the android head unit. I'm not as worried about the AA functionality so much, but it would be cool.
Android head unit (chinese origin greybox) or Genuine Android Auto head unit?

Eonon rk3566 so Chinese head unit...has android 11 and Android auto if that helps. Running vivid launcher as home screen but haven't figured out how to get it to connect to my phone's data without initiating Android auto.
Not Android-auto, requested moderator moves to (Android head-units) forum.
Hi
Recently installed an Erisin Android head unit in my Mercedes. Unit works well. I updated the firmware also. Running C2DN firmware?
Problem is I can't get Android Auto to start on the head unit. I connect my Android phone and then go to Android Auto app. The phone recognises the head unit, but no Android Auto splash screen on the head unit. (The one with Maps, Spotify icons etc).
I installed Android Auto on the head unit via an apk file, but still no go. Is there a different version for head units compared to the one found in the Google store?
I tried a different USB cable but as I thought, that didn't fix anything.

Android Auto app from Google Playstore is only for the phone.
Usually the head units have pre-installed the required app. You should ask your seller how to activate.
Yeah, that's what I thought. I will look deeper. Thanks!
