Hey everyone! I Have a US997 and as the title says those are my issues. Touch randomly dies when I am using it. Fingerprint reader is not being recognized. The phone does not have water damage and has been well protected. Im running Android 9. The Touch and Fingerprint seems to die around the same time. Makes me wonder if it an SOC issue. Dunno.
Thanks

Hey y'all,
I am having a weird problem. I have an HD2 wich worked great. Now after some time I am having a problem with the phone waking up. When it's active and unlocked, the touchscreeen works great, but when I turn off the screen and turn it back on, it won't let me unlock it. The touch screen just doesn't seem to work any more.
So I thought maybe relfashing could help. Said and done - reflashed Android > didn't work. Wiped, flashed WP7 > didn't work.
After some time and trying 3457 times, it works sometimes and once it is unlocked everything works well. But it's unusable this way.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
JR
I had this problem yesterday. I bought my phone second hand, it had a brandnew touchscreen, the previous owner dropped it.
after 3 months (yesterday) it started woring really bad. 8/10 times it wouldnt work.
I got my hands on a HD2 which was bricked (epic fail) for 10 bucks and swapped my mainboard. it works flawlessy again. Im guessing the replaced digitizer was a cheap knockoff from China.

My friend's phone has the same issue. Touchscreen works if you wake up the phone by back button, but it does not if you wake up with power button. Did you try that?
The most strange thing is, it is the same when on windows or android, as you said.

Hey there.
After some searching I found out, that the digitizer is messed up. The thricky thing is: The digitizer hardware is located right beneath the power button. This is what is causing the problem (the power button was messed up a little also). So if you are experiencing the same issue - try pushing the power button a little harder. That might make you able to wake up the phone.
I would have to renew the digitizer, wich is a real pain and a lot of work. You'll get a new HD2 for around 130€ and the digitizer costs about 60€ I guess. Plus all the work and the risk of f***king it.
SO - my choice will be a new one. HD2 is just a great phone because of it's community!
or get a bricked on for less like I did. Swapping the mainboard is really easy if you take the time and use the iFixit repair guide. I used a hair dryer to ease up the internals by heating it up and with a suctioncup I pulled the internals right out of the shell.
the copper sticker is a real pain in the ass though... But its doable.
You'll need a T5 torx screwdriver.
Oh and I love the HD2 community no doubt about it

I have the same problem, you think it gets resolved by buying a new digitizer? I was told the problem is not that main board but only the digitizer so not worth the hassle of getting a bricked phone I assume.
Thanks

A nonresponding digitizer can be caused by many things. I´ve heard of the end key messing with the touchscreen controller and vice versa.
I had a replacement digitizer on my HD2, it stopped working and now I have a genuine digitizer.
The genuine screen is just much much much better. It just feels much better. It´s more ´slick´. And less grime attracting.
Look in the general section for people who have bricked their HD2 and PM them and offer them money

Buy yourself an appropriate touchscreen!
Hi all !
Since a few weeks/months, I have my touchscreen which becomes less and less responsive. In fact, the issue is that sometimes (say one push every 5) the release is not detected, meaning that my finger is still detected while it is not on the screen.
This does not seem to be software related as I have same issue with different ROM (Cyanogen, MIUI...). Also, I changed the touchscreen (bought on eBay) and I still have the same issue...
I tried with different positions, for example touching the edges with my other hand, or opposite letting the phone on the table without any other touch than my finger, but issue is still viewed on the same rate.
Any idea ? Anything to try to fix ?
Thanks !
You haven't recently installed/changed a screen protector, have you ? Some of them make the screen a lot less responsive.

I had this problem during winter but everything is OK now.I am pretty sure that it is the cold weather that confused my device.Maybe you can have a test on different temperture.

Thanks both of you for your answers !
No, nothing changed : screen nor case. And temperature does not seem to resolve anything... I also have bought a new digitizer, replaced it, I still have the same problem...
Maybe a grounding issue ? The digitizer connector ?
I'm afraid I'll have to buy another one... maybe a broken one, with different issue...
Guys really need help! WHO CAN COME!
In short there is a given device a3000 H
Crashed native touch, bought a new one.
At first I did not notice the defect and took off the warranty tape.
There is a problem, the touch itself does not work.
When the display is on, I jiggle the cable and voila the touch works!
But if I lock and turn on - then the touch does not work!
I can not understand what the problem may be!
And when when I load the phone I distort the loop, the sensor works at start-up.
And also when I lock and unlock it does not work ...
The feeling that when you turn off the screen or the tablet itself, what is the signal does not reach and the tach does not plow!
On the controller chip is written

Hey guys. Got my G6 yesterday and I'm having trouble with the fingerprint sensor. I scanned it in and it worked for about 30-40 mins, then when I tried unlock the phone it wouldn't recognise it and just did the double vibrate. I've reset the fingerprint and scanned it in multiple times, all with the same result, I've cleared the cache and I honestly don't what's wrong.
Sometimes when scanning it pops up saying the sensor needs to be cleaned, but even when I wipe it down the message stays around. At first I thought it was because I was using a case on the phone, but that can't be it, since it's a spigen case.

It's totally normal. I'm experiencing the same with my G6 6 month old. Sometimes the finger print sensor doesn't work: no vibrate and it's like it's dead. So you have to wait a little or restart the phone.
It lacks also in updates and has, for me, several other issues so I'll never buy an LG again.

I don't think it's normal, because I watched a ton of reviews and videos about the phone before purchasing it, and all of them said the fingerprint sensor works quickly and perfectly. I've seen posts where people have used it with pizza dough and water on their hands. Everyone would have included it in their reviews if the sensor was this bad.

But mine, and also others, have the same issue with fingerprint sensor so, for me, it's a BIG BUG that any cheap chinese device I used before don't have.
Hello all.
First of all, sorry for my English. After few years of good perfomance, the LG G2 D802 with stock mod started to perfom slowly like a film in slow motion, e.g.. it takes a second to show each character in the screen that i am writing now. In addition, when the display turns locked it is impossible to unlock it without reseting the device.
I tried with a hard reset but the problem didn't solved. The superuser android test for the proximity sensor passed ok (I think). Have you seen this before? Can anybody help me with this?.
Edit. The poperty high temperature off enabled maybe let it run a bit faster but still with long delay. A few times the device starts to work as fast as it was new but this situation is for a little while, an incoming call or similar returns the device to the "lag" mode.
It is amazing, now the phone runs like the first time, seems unbelievable it runs better than ever, after battery charge but I havent done anything special ... So at this point it is a hardware or a software issue?
Android version: 4.4.2.
Kernel: 3.4.0
Soft. D80220h-EUR-XX
Conpilation KOT49I.D80220h
UPDATE: Problem returns as I expected. So I have open the cover and check connections, all seems ok but I left a small piece of paper above the proximity sensor just in case, it dint work.
Ocasionally the screen performs a kind of flickering, e.g for a few seconds I can see the top half of the screen just in the bottom half of the screen... any idea for next step? nobody is using LG G2?.
UPDATE : I have Flashed stock rom lollypop 5.0.2. And it seems that now the unlock problem is solved, but the lag remains,it is crazy, two seconds from push letter until it appears on the screen...
Maybe it seems a hardware issue, now I am considering this steps:
1) Flash kk again 4.4.2 and hard reset. Just in case, but no hope that it works.
2) if it is a hardware issue, it can be a problem with flex cable or display or digitizer or proximity sensor or motherboard or other I don't know or a mix.
3) Hit the mobile against the wall
At this point, Did anybody deal with something similar?
