Would anybody know why it takes so long to delete files in nougat off SD card versus twrp recovery which big files could be deleted in like 2 seconds?

what does it mean when it tells you to copy or extract the files to the root of the storage card? what is the root of the storage card?
The first level of the storage card, I assume,
e.g. like on a computer, the root would be C:\
What program is it for?
it means you have to copy the files directly onto the card, and not within any folder
eg if your storage card is detected as G:/, you have to copy the files directly to G:/ and not in G:/randomfolder.

I tried to do a backup of the sd card and I think I may have taken the card out whilst android was still running. When copying the stuff from the sd card, data.img would not copy, some error. Now when booting in Android it gets stuck on the circle boot screen. I would guess that the data.img got corrupted. What happens if I just deleted it, would android create a new one when booting? I am using android on sd card Core droid with 1GB data image. Will I lose settings/programs?
unfortunately you will lose your data. next time instead of taking off your card use usb transfer.
SHould I delete it and Android will recreate one?
delete all the files related to the rom. the best format the sd card.then put a new sd rom and flash from beginning. the rom will create a new data.img.if you arent using titanium backup (from the market) i recommend you to use it in the future for similar cases to this.
format your card and do a clean intall
Hi guys i have a class 10 32 gb sd card and what i want to do is to partition it 10gb for all files and 20gb only for putting flashable zip fiiles because ive noticed that when i have a whole bunch of pictures and music and all kinds of data i put my flashable zips on it and the file becomes bad i dont know the reason why but it does, im assuming creating partitions for different things should solve this also TWRP should be able to scan my sd card duh so i can flash anyways if someone has an idea let me know thanks!
Every ROM i download/copy onto my SD card is corrupt? I made a folder and copied a rom into in from my computer and the folder became corrupted. From then all the ROMs i copy/download are corrupt?
There was a ROM on the SD card before that isnt corrupt. Will formatting my SD card fix the problem?

I wiped the sd card in android and then downloads a rom and gapps to the sd card. In TWRP i did a nandroid backup of my current OS. I couldnt access any folders in Install ZIP except for the TWRP folder. I ran chkdsk on the sd card through cmd on my pc. I then copied another rom into the root of the card and flashed it, it seems to be working now as the zip flashed without a problem. I will try to download another rom through android and flash that and see if it is corrupts it again.
I downloaded a rom to the sd card in android and the rom is corrupt. Im going to wipe the sd card in twrp and redownload the rom
it looks like that has fixed it (wiping in TWRP).
That's excellent news. I had an 8GB card that would display one set of folders in recovery and an entirely different set of folders in Android. The only solution for that one was to download SDFormatter on the PC, install it, and wipe the MicroSD using that tool.
I am using lineage os. Soon after flashing this ROM I was not able to cope files to SD card either from file manager or from windows, Any fix?
Same here SD card is formatted as internal. Can't move files to SD card. I'm using g4 plus lineage is 15.1. And after days use it slows down. Else everything working fine
