Did you freeze or disable anything in the ROM? Or are you using a custom ROM? Any of these can cause such, maybe even both. Open Titanium Backup if you have it and scroll down to see the list of disabled/frozen apps. Especially that Remote control app.

I would try that, yes. If that doesn't do it only thing I can think of is maybe a short or something to do with hardware?

Disable system update on zenfone max pro

This zenfone max pro is for my parents.
I need to temporarily disable system update for unnecessary issue.
The old solution that disable system update by Activity Launcher is invalid on this zenfone max pro.
Can any one help me?
Thank you

Hi,
Enable developer option and look for automatic system updates and turn that toggle off. Not 100% sure if that's going to work bcz I haven't tried it. You can give it a try :good:
Try disabling FOTAService. Not sure whether it will work on unroooted device but you can try

Yup. Worked for me. Either that or activate system update (with data off) and choose not to receive automatic updates by clicking on the 3 dots on the upper right part of the interface.

But it might start nagging your parents to update after a reboot.
It happens on my device sometimes even with root.

Never happened with my unrooted ZB602KL. Not for me, anyway.

Stock camera freezes

My stock camera freezes whenever i open it for the first time,i have to switch modes to get it working.
as long as the camera is in memory it works fine but the moment you clear it and open the app it happens again.
I am gcam installed and is having no such issue but i prefer the stock camera.
did factory reset issue persists.
I have unlocked bootloader so i was thinking of uninstalling the camera app from adbfast tool.
should i do that?
can i install the stock camera app using the apk?
and can anyone provide the stock camera apk to try the same.
will unistalling the camera cause any issue?
any help will be appreciated
i am having the indian k20 running miui global 10.3.6
this is a software issue in global rom you have to wait for update to fix it or go for xiaomi.eu rom if you unlocked the bootloader.

This is what actually worked! I had no update available (miui 11.0.3), didn't want to factory reset my phone and the photo app reset didn't solve anything, but activating the location permission did! Thank you.

Max Pro M1 Switchess off when gets access to microphone.

My max pro M1 switchess of when it access microphone. i know it sounds weired but that is the case regarding my phone.
has anyone faced any similar issue?
BTW microphone works perfectly when in charging, doesnt gets switched off...
HELP...
1. Reset App preferences
2. Clear cache in recovery
3. Reboot
If these steps don't work, try running smmi test by navigating to calculator app and pressing .12345+-
See if the device passes microphone test. If it doesn't then it's a hardware issue that needs to be solved by any technician.
device does nothing when in calculator app. clearing cache does not help. formatting and reinstalling any rom 'doesnt solve this problem.
