OK Google from watch - Wear OS Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just got a new Fossil Gen 5.
The ok google detection is on.
If I say "ok google" to the watch the assistant is launched on the phone and not on the watch, so I have to talk to the phone while I'd like talk to the watch.

Any Roms Have "OK, Google" detection with screen off?

The subject pretty much says it all. I know the phone has a chip capable of supporting "OK Google" detection with the screen off. Do any ROMs enable it?
To be clear, I'm not talking about Moto Voice. I'm talking about using Google Now like it is on the Nexus devices.
I asked this a while back, and didn't get any replies, so I'm assuming the answer is "no."
I'm curious why this isn't doable. I assume the app itself is checking if the phone is compatible with the feature (whether it has the chip with the requisite low-power core). If so, wouldn't it be possible for a ROM to lie to the app and tell it it's a compatible device?
Moto voice works along side with Google now if you just want to use OK Google without Moto voice phone has to be plugged into power source

I know it has to be plugged in... but my question is "why?" The Moto X has the same low-power co-processor that a Nexus or Galaxy S phone has.
Yes it does but it's not an option on OK google hotword detection but the Moto software has it the only workaround is getting an app on the play store to use it it's called open mic+

Tursted Voice "OK Google" does not work

Say "OK Google" any time and Trusted Voice both turned on, but it does NOT work regardless screen is on or off. After reboot, both options are off and I have to do 3 time OK google to set it up again but still does not work. It only works when inside the Google search. I am using Nexus 6P Rom 6.0.1 (rooted, xposed) and latest Google APP. Anyone has the same issue, and any tips to solve this? Or any app that can do the similar? Thanks

"Ok google" sometimes refuses to respond > S8 & S8+ Any solutions?

First noticed this in Android Auto car mode app.
Occasionally it just wont respond to "OK google"
I can start my journey, make a call using "OK google"
This can work fine, but sometime it will just stop listening.
It seems to happen after a call was made. Its as if the Call app has not released the mic.
This doesn't always happen and seems inconstant. It can happen from any screen not just Android Auto.
My wife's S8+ behaves in the same way
Once it is ignoring the "OK google" command. you need to go into the google app and it will start working again
However it has on one occasion stopped working in the app. A reboot fixed that.
Anyone else having this trouble or have a theory or a solution for this?
I have been encountering the same issue as well.

i had the same problem, it started with my s7 a few months ago..
when it continued on my s8 i was bummed.. i read somewhere to shut off the "My Feed" (previously called Now Cards i think)
i did that and have had no problem for 3 days now, the bummer is i like "my feed"
Still having this issue...... not as often though

Is "Hey Google" instead of "OK google" enabled for anyone on an S8?

Is "Hey Google" instead of "OK google" enabled for anyone on an S8?
I've tried everything to get the Google app updated to enable the new "Hey Google" phrase but it is just not happening for me. Has anyone on an S8 gotten the prompt to enable the new shorter key word? If so, which variant? I'm on the Verizon S8.
I guess this feature has been rolling out for about a week.
Not on mine either. Someday it will
It's working to me, Snapdragon Japanese version.
It works pretty often because my 'hey' and 'OK' sound similar
I tried it on my S8+, the first time it worked when I said hey instead of ok and when I was supposed to repeat the phrase it didn't work
I haven't gotten hey google to work, but I was working on my PC and somehting about google pissed me off and I said f*&k you google and the phone responded. Must have sounded like OK google to the phone.

Google maps vibration, Android wear24 and Verizon wear24 watch

First time androidwear user, Got the verizon wear24 for cheap as did many folks here. Using Nexus 6P and able to get google maps navigation on wear24 watch. But no vibration, I have all notifications turned on and would really like a vibration alert. I read this is possible, is there any setting, I tried almostall settings on watch.
