It's not a theme it's a launcher. Personally I think the older android tv launcher looks superior to the current one.
Is there a way to get the new launcher as I really like it ?

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but it is really really nice. I like the look and feel of it.
Fusion Garage says that the Grid OS was built using Android code, so I was wondering if it could be ported to our TF once it's released. We'd use some features, like the integration with the Grid phone, but that's fine, and since that is also based off of Android, maybe it can be ported to phones as well. I think it'll be a great addition to our trusty TF and just be another reason why our tablet is the best.
Watch it here It's a little laggy in the video, but that's probably a pre-production model..
Ehhh, I'll stick with Android for now.
At least it appears to be better than their last effort.

I thought it'd be a nice idea. Now that I think about it, this OS would look great for a media center.
it seems like all they did was implement a launcher and apps. dunno why they needed to create a completely new OS to do that.

Although I would nvr buy a joojoo 2 the grid os seems cool, would be nice if someone made a launcher replacement versus porting the whole thing as it is not based off of honeycomb
read through the entire engadget post. apparently grid is based off of android and can run android apps there is just no access to the android market you have to use the amazon one or sideload them.
"The OS also has Dalvik virtual machine built in, so all of your favorite Android apps will work on the Grid 10 and Grid 4, but there's no access to the Android Market and it doesn't come with Android's normal bunch of Google goodies -- you'll have to go to Amazon or elsewhere for applications. I just want the half screen multitasking window for the browser..

Looks good.Based on Android.
Batt seems to be bad.
I don 't trust them, they are creepy.

That's why I thought it would be a nice OS to port. I'm sure some dev could give it market support like they did on the GTab which doesn't natively have android market.
But sure, if someone could remake/port the launcher to us and the multiscreen browser it'd be nice. I really like the launcher on it. The "clusters" is meh, but the design and way you move around is a nice change.
looks nice and smooth to me. I like it.
And i respect them keeping their chin up and admitting their last disaster.
Fusion Garage
I read somewhere that not only is the Fusion Garge OS built on Android, it is using some sort of java interface as well.
I think the interface is clean and I like the specialty features . . . the volume control, and a few other options . . . I know it isn't much . . . just saying . . . you know?
GO Launcher HD is the exclusive tablet version of GO Launcher EX on Android platform. It brings you with the fascinating interface, practical utilities, as well as extremely personalized and smooth operating experience.

I wish it was available for CM7.

look amazingly beautiful
Cant get it to install. Problems parsing package.

Been using it since yesterday. Love it lots, although don't like that I can't do a 10x10 grid anymore. The options relocation to the top is great though.
I like this launcher and realize it is still in beta but I can not seem to get it to set up more than three rows. Am I missing something or is this a limitation of the beta or of the Fire itself? Thanks
Not really a big fan honestly. Feels and looks a little clunky for me.
New to the site, but just purchased a Nexus 7 to go with my GNex. I am curious to how the existing apps will play with the new 7. Since the resolution is pretty close, will most if not all apps that are compatible with the GNex be available for the Nexus 7? Or, since this is a new OS, do the developers need to tweak the apps to play nice with the new tablet?
Thanks! Cant wait to get the 7.

All apps will run just fine, they will only need tweaking if they want to take advantage of new JB features. They might also need to be tweaked to take advantage of the screen size but either way they will work just might look a bit odd
I had a question regarding this. Many pointed out that the Nexus 7 opts for a phone based UI rather than the tablet UI we've seen sported on other Honeycomb or ICS tablets.
Seeing as how there are some apps specific to phone and specific to tablets, which apps will work with this? Will the "HD" tablet apps work with this?

Most should do yes, how android works out which UI to show or which apps the device supports comes down to its dpi which I believe for the nexus is a 'tablet' dpi, there for it should display tablet versions of the apps (it would seem pointless for them to release a tablet that only supported phone apps).
Also the UI is not strictly the Phone UI as there are 6 buttons along the bottom of the launcher instead of the 4 normally, its more of a hybrid layout
it uses a new small tablet UI that uses the tablet versions of apps (if they work for displays lower than 10") but the phone version of the system.
Interesting! Thank you for the replies. I was actually hoping for a tablet ui style throughout (like that of Honeycomb), I'm guessing this problem will be solved with custom roms? I'd like to be reassured before jumping on board.
I am wondering since the original galaxy gear runs a custom skin of android 4.2.2 it leads me to believe that android wear maybe compatible. will custom roms be made for the gear using this rom?

Or you could just install the Wear launcher/host apk yourself, Although you may loose functionality of camera and other apps as there is no home screen to put icons on.
Doesn't work

What you are talking about is the GEL which does work on android, but the thing with the gear it is not fully android, so Google search doesn't work and that was why GEL didn't work either. I'm talking about the watch emulator that is in developers hands being ported to the gear
Something like Nova or Apex, or even more obscure ones. It doesn't matter.
I dunno if i should install Android Wear on my Gear S or not, because it's Android 6.0.1, so it's a bit newer, but i don't like the Wear UI.
Does stuff like PowerShade, X-Status, MiControl Center or Miui-ify work on Wear?

I can't imagine what would you expect from WearOS, but there is a customizable launcher. Look for Bubble Cloud

There is only ONE REAL launcher that I know of and use,
it's called "Jelllybean" launcher, you can find it in the
Galaxy Watch's google play store easily and it's free.
It was created to replace the stock wear os app launcher
and has many excellent options and features.
It looks like the stock default launcher in wear os and
it also looks very similar to the Tickwatch Pro 3 custom
app Mobvoi launcher but it has a lot more features and
custom options.
The Bubble Cloud launcher is super difficult to use and the app launcher in Bubble Cloud is just a very small part of the actual Bubble Cloud app.
You cannot simply download and install it like all the android replacement launchers we see at the playstore.
After looking at it it reminds me of a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. LOL - There are many people who do like it!!!

Oh well... I expected a phone-like UI, because i never liked the Wear UI.
I could install Ultimate Dynamic Navbar and remap the home command to launching the "home" activity of something like Nova Launcher.
Watches can run GTA and Minecraft, but i still don't get why they lack the ability to run a simple launcher.

Just open the playstore on your wear os watch and search for the word "Jelllylauncher" and install it.
It's so easy even Mikey can can do that, you don't even need a link.
Have a great day!

Oh... It's called JellyLauncher, not JellyBean launcher.
Since you called JellyBean so many times, i thought it was a different one.
Yes... You are right...
I have been using jellylauncher for almost 3 yrs, I really like it a lot.
Also if you are looking for the very best and one of a kind watch face app
Called the
"Ultimate Watch 2" give it a try, it's a lot more than simply a watch face...
It's more like a full customizing studio with hundreds of presets and user options and features which are not found in any other wear os watch face.
It's 100 % compatible with all the wear os galaxy watches.
Let me know what you think of it....
Have a great day.

Thanks. Have a nice day too.
I don't have a Wear OS watch yet, because the lack of phone app support is a major downside to me.
I'm still using a Galaxy Gear S with Andorid 5.1.1 installed on it.
But i'm thinking of getting the latest Galaxy Watch, but i'm also thinking about getting a Nubia Watch, because it's more of what i currently have.
Sorry to post on this somewhat old thread. I tried the Jelllybean app. It doesn't replace the default home app on WearOS (settings-> Apps & notifications -> Default apps -> Home app). It doesn't even show up as an option there. Does anyone know if that is even possile to download an app on WearOS 3 to replace the default home app?
