No, stock theme with stock launcher. NO MOD and no root :crying:

Have you tried night mode to see if notification text shows with dark notification background.

I have automatic night mode from 23.00 to 08.00 and I've never seen this issue in night mode. Maybe, the next time, I'll try to activate the night mode and see what happen to notification

Ok, have you ever tried a theme before? It could have left a notification mod still installed. Maybe a recovery boot and cache clean might solve it.
If you don't want to use night mode all the time, maybe you can download Goodlock and Quickstar, customise your qucksettings and notifications. That could be a fix rather than a factory reset.

Tried cache clean few times but the issue still happen once or twice a week.

This happens when you have night mode on and you get a notification and then it switches to day mode.
Any notification from night mode will be like that.
Happens to me as well.
Let's see now with August update if anything changes.

Screen keeps staying on.

I had this problem with the S3 in the early days. Something would trigger the screen the light up and then it would stay until I noticed. Occasionally I would find the phone very hot with the battery mostly drained. I turned off all the fancy eye tracking options but it kept doing it. Resets would help but the problem would return after a while. Eventually I think an update sorted it.
I had forgotten about this until now. Now my S4 is doing the same. Something triggers the screen to light up e.g. fully charged and it stays on. It does go dark but still stays on. Again resetting it fixes it for a while but the problem eventually returns again.
I have set the screen to time out and made sure keep awake is unchecked in developer options.
Is this a known issue?

Yes I am. I was using audioglow but noticed it wasn't transparent at the top so switched to on of the stock Samsung ones. It appears to be behaving atm after a reset but if it starts playing up again I will switch to a static wallpaper and see.
Try an application like Wakelock Detect (instsall from Play Store) to see which application is keeping your Screen or CPU awake...
Maybe that'll help you solve the problem.

Clock Widget issues

Hi. I hope someone can shed some light on this issue. I have a bone stock verizon LG G2. My clock widgets periodically fail to keep time. It has happened twice in 4 days and I cannot ascertain a pattern. It happened once while charging in sleep mode and once while sitting next to me at my desk in sleep mode. Both times removing and replacing the widget did not work. When the widget was replaced it remained invisible on the screen yet I could grab and move it -- though it would not activate the clock app when pressed. This is true for stock clocks and Timely as well.
Powering down the phone did not help. Uninstalling and reinstalling Timely did not help. It happened before I installed Timely and after as well.
This is after the OTA update.
I have lost more than 10 hours the first time I noticed and caught the second after only 2. Thoughts? Questions?
Does the clock widget give the same time as the clock in your status bar ?

[Q] Phobe vibrating every few minutes

Since this morning, my S4 started to vibrate for half a second every few minutes.
I rebooted the phone twice already and there is no notification in the top bar.
The only way I can make it stop is to put the phone in the Airplane mode.
Is there anyway to find what apps is doing this ?
The phone is running latest offcial ROM + CF Auto Root and Nova free launcher.
Thank you
I might have the solution for you. If you go to your settings under My Phone scroll down to Accessibility click on it and scroll down to Vision and turn off Notification reminder You should be good from there. I dont know whats causing but thats what worked for me. Good Luck!

it was already OFF, thanks anyway.
BTW, I removed the Nova Launcher and everything is back to normal.
The problem came back a few minutes ago and I never reinstalled Nova.
Any other tips/suggestions ?
Thank you

Always on display no longer moves around

From the box, the always on display (AOD) shifted around every minute or so to prevent burn in.
Two days ago I installed the T-Mobile update for my s7 edge. Last night, I was trying out my new wireless charger when I noticed the AOD no longer moves around. I tried charging directly, rebooting, powering off, changing themes/styles to see if it would start shifting around.
Did the update cause this change? Is anybody experiencing the same thing? Is this a bug or intentional (didn't see anything in patch notes). Thank for any input.
I love the AOD but now super paranoid about burn in.
Have you tried turning AOD off, waiting a bit, and turning it back on? Maybe reboot while it's off, then turn it back on.
Yeah, reports circulating that the T-Mobile update is causing the AOD to remain stationary. If you're on T-Mobile, definitely turn off AOD until they release a fix.
Yea I've tried disabling AOD and rebooting but it's still stationary. I went ahead and disabled it entirely and hoping a fix will be released soon. Thanks all.
Damn, disabled mine until it's fixed. Didn't even notice, thanks.

Is it dimmed more like the night clock mode? I was thinking maybe they did that and figured it's not a problem any more, but just guessing. I have Verizon version and I jist use the night clock mode all time as the regular clock seems too bright.

The brightness of the AOD is still determined by ambient lighting. The only time the AOD moves to a different position now is when I power up the screen then lock it. If I don't power up the screen, it will stay in that same position with auto brightness in effect.

Yeah, definitely must be a bug then.
I'm annoyed of the Night Clock where it shows the time of an alarm that's set out few days out. I now disabled all alarms so I don't see that. lol.
Also, the stupid + sign on the icon groups in TouchWiz is really awkward and wastes so much space. They didn't have this in Galaxy S6.
Had this issue on a Fresh install (Not present on the Same Version previously (I rolled back after a upgrade)
My default was stuck in the middle and did not move, I went in and change the clock style to the round clock and hands, and mine is moving around the screen as normal

I accidentally saw an update for "Always on Didplay(AOD)" from the AOD menu and updated it to the latest version. This seem to be fixing the problem with blinking night clock...works cool now!!!!

Thanks for replying. I didnt see any option for an update but it may have done it automatically cause it just stopped dong it. Now with the latest update i have a new issue. When i "clean all" in the smart manager, i get the following pop-up..."Unfortunately smart manager clean sdk has stopped responding" .. i thought these updates are supposed to fix and improve...they lie me thinks ☹
