Just wanted to post the question if anyone attempted to compile and port the Asteroid OS to Lemfo Lem X?

Its a real shame nobody responded to this. I really dont know why the LemX is just ignored. its such a great watch and TWRP is available. someone could really do some amazing work for this.

Handroid; Android on the Hermes.
Hi all!
Ok, first off i'd just like to say i'm not as new here as I may seem - i've been stalking round these parts for 2/3 months now. Please don't flame me for that.
My only other post was on the discussion on a possible android port to the Hermes.
I liked this idea greatly, and so I decided to start the 'Handroid' project.
The idea is simple, a full port of android to the hermes. Nothing more, nothing less.
The port will be based on the linux port to the hermes as it would be foolish to let that port rust a little more while we start a new one.
We've all seen videos of android running on other pocketpc's so it's evidently possible.
But this is where I have to ask for your help. To get this port underway quickly and efficiently we need a team. And a team means that people like yourselves that feel they could help us out in some way. Help. Or even anyone you know who might have the skills required.
Handroid now has it's own wiki up Here.(That address is only a temporary one on my blog's webspace, handroid.org will be registered soon. Also, please for goodness sake don't flame because its a Work In Progress site. It will be looking much better soon.) I would love to hear from some of you soon on the wiki, or here.
Any help or even just a few points of input (or even failing that, simply encouragement) would be greatfully recieved. However, make no mistake, if this project is to suceed we need your help. I can't do this on my own.
I really hope to speak to some of you on the team soon.

Hi,
i appreciate this attempt of getting some attention to port some alternative OS to hermes platform. Indeed it could be done and it would be in the spirit of GPL like the openmoko people did for there mobile devices.
In fact we urgently need some brave kernel hackers to push this forward, because the base of all that android stuff is a nice working kernel.

There's a lot of useful stuff
There are some barriers (arrrghh) and there are new devices drawing attention so the progress of linux port stucked a bit....
Anyway the winmob family is doing great work, so let's see how far we would come with this alternative!

I am very interested and I hope I can be helpful (at least cheer leading). Though I don't know anything about the Hermes kernel, as a reverse engineer, I always hack my way out. I keep my eyes on your wiki.

Thanks for the anti-flames.... I think my feet didn't get burnt too much.
We ultimately need people with a specialism in linux driver/kernel development. However, as far as I can tell the kernel is pretty much functional, but I will check more closely later.
I'm also going to contact some developers of the other Android ports around and see if they have any advise.

It's nice to be in this group and see everything that the developers can do. I had Osprey time ago, but I decided to change it to Merlin.
Awesome change, but the development is a little bit quiet.
Now, I know Merlin have less users than Osprey, but... I think it can have official support. Please, someone who thinks the same or can help me to do this possible.

Do it man..we have less users but development is going strong.
We have all the major roms...and they work perfectly. but still if you can get it supported officially we can have regular nightlys...
our only official rom right now is RR

I'm a student and I use Grand2 & OnePlus2 phones.
I have very deep interest mobile phones/computers but I never get a chance to learn things about it.
I love tweaking/customizing phone/pc. But i never understands how it works inside.
I have very deep interest of learning these things. I am not interested in making because I want it so that I can help other people/friends and many developers who put their efforts hard and rock to give us best features.
I tried everywhere but found no help except like go read this/that etc etc.
All the time people just reacted "visit this, read this, watch this", but nobody supports me in full.
See, reading a book about it or watching a video won't help to learn the core things. It is necessary to read but practical knowledge/assistant is way more important, otherwise we don't have to go to sit in class and listen to lectures.
I watched/read many tutorial but I have now more confusions/questions than the answer itself, like 1000000:1 in ratio.
I know its hard to help the kind of help I am asking today. But helping someone is not that hard if you 'will' is very hard, because I have also helped unknown people with my full potential being knowing that it will take a lot and strong effort out of me. But I helped. and I believe people also help.
So, I am writing these stuffs here because I need a Friend, a teacher, a helper, a guide, someone who can help me understand these things so that I can one day give a strong/big feedback to my fellow friends/users/members/people around me.
I am Just a student. I don't wanna make money out of it, because its my passion, not my livelihood.
Because I wanna help people who love techs. I wanna be someone who can fulfills other members needs.
I just wanna help, but before that I NEED HELP.
I know this also that after writing this long, I may not find a single help, but nothing can stop me by doing this because what I see is a light of hope in darkness. So, I am on my way.
I am hereby, requesting out of curiosity and courtesy to help me by every means to learn these things.
Some friends may make a fun of me by reading this long shot but I feel sorry for them and really I am in desperate need.
So, If anyone is interested in supporting me happily, please let me know.

Oh i see. We are kinda on the same page. I have a Grand 2 too and i am also slowly learning about rom developement.
Okay so i'll tell you basic thing about roms first. There are 2 ways to have a custom rom for your device. Source building and porting.
Source building is as the title says making a rom from source.
And port is like using the rom made for a similar cpu family device and editing it to run on yours.
Now both of them go a long way to learn. I can understand your situation as i am in the same myself. Just PM me i'll tell you everything in detail

Hi! I don't want to be rude or demanding, but, would it be great to have FlymeOS on the Moto G4 Play?
I don't know if more peope in this forum are interested, but i am and id like to do it.
Maybe Asutosh Sundresh could make it because he has a good record of porting other roms in that style like MIUI, but actually it could be more people making it. Im trying to port it from osprey but i didn't have success. Im not a proffessional programmer or something like that so well, i can't make a build.
If you can help making a build it would be great.
