Coming from Tab S 8.4 and also OnePlus 7T, I'm dissapointed with the Color mode options - there are only 2: Natural and Vivid. I'm missing the Amoled Photo and Amoled Video from older Samsung devices, which were ideal "middleground" between color accuracy and saturation. No idea why Samsung removed them... Natural mode is accurate but too flat for my liking and the Vivid is saturated as hell. I'm used to Amoled photo on my old Tab S and also DCI-P3 on OnePlus 7T, but here I can't find anything that would please my eyes, I'm regularly switching between Natural and Vivid and it drives me crazy...
I think Samsung should include more customization options in the future updates, although I'm aware that most probably they don't care. That's a shame really, because this screen is so nice.
I'm wondering what mode do you guys are using on your Tab S6...

Color seems to be good but would love to see it pushed just a bit further to get really bright reds greens n blues its not over saturated nor is it under. As far as accuracy goes i have no idea . There is some color shifting not too bad but there is some nasty banding mostly notice in low light n in white backgrounds . I kinda wish there were an option to saturate colors just a bit more
Well, it's an OLED screen with all the disadvantages that comes with it (and advantages). Colors are a bit too saturated , but not as bad as on Samsung phones. LCDs we're always more accurate. Google actually made the right move but people are used to see radioactive colors already so that didn't go well. Overall I love the screen of the V30. Just red seems too bright for me (true on all OLED screens I've tried).

I'm using Standard mode. It has slight blue tint on white. Other than that, the colour is good. HDR10 Youtube videos look really really great. However, I noticed the display will change to max brightness for HDR10 content. I compared it with OnePlus 5T (1080p Super AMOLED but without HDR10 support) display, the difference is insignificant if I also crank OP5T's display to max brightness. Only the really bright scene has more differences.

Having both the V30 and V40, I find the V40 display lacking visual pop. On the same brightness (V40 auto is always higher than a V30 for some reason), images on V30 are brighter and more colorful. Not overly saturated and definitely not as bland as on the V40. Even playing around with the various display profiles, you can't get them to match. Sure the panel is bigger and no longer has that weird grain looking texture the V30 has but it's also dimmer. I'm no coloring expert but just based on visual comparison, LG seems to have messed up the profiling on the V40.
With the V30, you could put it next to a samsung panel and compare camera shots you just took. It'd prolly work in LG's favor depending on the sammy device even. With the V40, that compare is just not a good idea anymore.

Screen seems less saturated compared to my original s 8.4 and s2 doing side by side comparisons. Colors still pop on the s4 just not as saturated. Mainly yellows and blues. One example is pulling up the Facebook app and comparing the blue bar at the top of the screen; S4 looks slighty washed out compared to the other 2.

I posted this in the G Stylus forum. Same screen.
Saturation is typical LCD. Even with saturation selected. My previous phone was LG V20 with same kind of screen. With a custom kernel and kcal, I could make it look almost as good as a Samsung. I picked a wallpaper and icons that don't highlight it's LCD weakness. Icon pack is Darko2.
Well, colors are worst ever than. I have another phone Samsung Galaxy A40 and it is way way better, not work choose saturated or natural or boosted. Guess screen quality is selfish. can't say because of LCD, Sony Xperia XZ2 also have LCD, but it is better
