Hi i have silly problem with TWRP,
when i restore user data it works good, but if i want restoree system partition all works ok, but after reeboot phone always bootloop into recorvery, cant boot.
I must reflash via flashtools everything without user data to boot phone again (and install su etc via twrp)

I never tried LP yet but I guess one needs a LP TWRP for a LP ROM. Maybe someone else can help.
Problem solved, new TWRP version install and everything is ok

Hello, guys! I've a strange problem on my OP2 (A2001).
The new update seems impossible to install on my phone, i've tried all the guides that i've found online, but nothing, everytime is a bootloop. I've tried installing the full rom 2.1.1 in twrp, after that i've tried the full rom 2.1.0 with the ota package, so i've tried the same two things unrooting my phone and with stock recovery. The only way to boot my phone is to install the version 2.1.0.
The last solution that i've not tried is to wipe even data partition instead only system, cache and dalvik.
Someone has the same problem? Have you found a solution?
Thank you

My upgrade sequence
1) copy 2.1.0 full file (1.1 gb) and the ota update file 44mb file to device
2) like always, take a nandroid backup
3) Dont wipe anything. Add 2.1.0 zip + 2.1.1 ota zip + supersu 2.49 zip to flash queue and flash them all together.
4) wipe caches. Reboot.
It worked for me and retained all my data.
All the best. :good:

I've followed your sequence nothing (again bootloop)... is there any difference between supersu 2.46 and 2.49?
Thank you!

I have a formerly rooted OP 5 currently running oxygenos 4.5.14(this was dirty flashed from a rooted 4.5.3 device) and wanted to upgrade to 5.0.2 without losing my data. I have lost the root and that's fine. I am trying to upgrade to 5.0.1 or 5.0.2 and the update keeps failing. Anyone have tips or guidance on how to proceed?
unless you relock your bootloader you won't be able to update. i tried everything. make sure you backup your data before you relock bootloader beacause this process will wipe everything.
cmd code to lock bootloader - fastboot oem lock
alternatively you can try this but i haven't tried so i won't recommend this method - https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/guide-upgrade-nougat-rooted-encrypted-t3734779

would you recommend this if I just follow this tutorial up to step 8? I'm on 4.5.14 and would like to update to 5.0.2 even I lose my data and internal storage.
Step
Always succeed to upgrade in my case and not losing any data, maybe my way can help you
1. Instal codeworkx twrp not bluspark twrp, if you already have codeworkx just ignore this step
2. Wipe dalvik and cache
3. Instal update (full zip not partial zip)
4. Wipe dalvik and cache again
5. If you want to root, instal magisk 15.2 (recommended) and if you don't just ignore this step and reboot
6. Wipe dalvik and cache again (last time)
7. Reboot and enjoy your update

To elaborate some of these steps:
1. Boot to fastloader and install codeworx twrp
2. Boot to twrp (codeworx) then wipe dalvik and cache
3. Flash the signed zip (5.0.2)
4. Wipe dalvik cache
5. Install magisk zip
6. Wipe dalvik cache
7. Boot to system
Is this right? What should I do if I have xposed modules and magisk modules currently?

Follow this
-First and the foremost point, remove any kind of security/screen locks. Remove all the fingerprints & set the lock screen lock to none.
- Flash latest Stock Oreo build, along with it's firmware.
- Download latest build & gapps.
- Boot into latest TWRP.
- Wipe system, cache & data.
- Flash the ROM & TWRP installer.
- REBOOT BACK TO RECOVERY & flash gapps
- Reboot and ENJOY

Hi guys, this is my problem. Got MI9T with Android 10 (miui 11) 128GB, and I wanna install Pixel Experience. So, those are my steps until the problem :
1) Bootloader unlocked
2) After this, with TOOL ALL IN ONE.exe, I installed TWRP and everything ok.
3) Wiped EVERYTHING (data, cache, dalvik etc.)
4) here problem) When I wipe data also PE.ZIP is deleted from smartphone, so I plugin smartphone to pc to transfer it again. But when I go to C:/MI9T, I couldn't transfer ANY FILE because memory available was ZERO. 0/128GB, and I don't know why. So I was stuck on TWRP and I had to reinstall stock rom with MiFlash.exe.
(QUESTION: do I have to flash also vbmeta to keep twrp?)
I did the same process on RedmiNote5 but was easier because I had microsd with everything on.
Please if someone could help .. thank you so much
Hello, you just need to reboot to recovery if you can't transfert from PC after wiping/formating data.

What do you mean? Just reboot smartphone?
Anyway, is vbmeta necessary to keep twrp?

No reboot to system, reboot to recovery, you have that option in Twrp...
