NN8 rom doesn't support AOD yet though you flash aod supporting custom kernel so kindly wait for dev to provide aod framework for specific rom to work aod
But as far as i know S8 port is coming soon so @Androidwizzard will add AOD support in s8 port surely till that you can enjoy ambient display which is quiet similar to aod and surely less battery consuming by flashing RomeControl V3

I got a note 7 port i know its only mm but my aod works flawlessly. I dont know whT all the problems are. I flashed a compatible kernel and changed a fewsettings and all is good
i installed it but i cant see AOD option in display
and when i install AOD apk it said we have package with this name

For me, both are really stable rom and don't have any noticeable bugs. But I prefer Nitrogen because of its customization features. Nitrogen don't support OTA upgrades yet and will be implemented in the future, but it doesn't matter too much for me since I can go for dirty flash or restoring apps and data from Titanium backup. Hope it helps you.

Install magisk and check the safety net.
If it's success, then the warning is not an issue.
If its not, then a magisk module is available for safety net, patch that.

Pixel Experience is for pure experience with Pixel Stuff - Launcher and Wallpaper etc.
Nitrogen is IMO better custom ROM .. better battery while having more features.
Beacon Kernel works best with this ROM and the kernel developer is using this ROM which gives it an added advantage.

u must use magisk for hide root from tej etc apps. they will work then. been there, done that.
do some research. install magisk manager. systemless superuser.

I use the Pixel , but my second SIM card don't work perpect .
For CDMA SIM card . Maybe only use the internet , I can't receive sms or phonecall....

Hey man you can get the original from "redwolfrecovery.cf" the original site
pixel experience is not stable...problems in recieving calls, VOLTE doesnt work for many...network instability
Pixel experience is better & stable after latest update.
By far its(nitrogen os) is stable and looks good, the only thing I found is that sometimes apps misbehaving due to Linux error

i have one problem, when i flash RR or LOS or even ViperOS, all of them give me error com.andriod.phone has stopped and i can't go any further because sim cards are restarting themselves letting me no chance to continue setup process.

Guys can we clearly mention Which custom ROM's Does the Pixel 3 Camera ? mod (working Night Sight) by Arnova8G2 Work? And Specifically which Build?
I have tried it on first Official Build of Pixel Experience ROM and it did work a few bugs here and there tough the Night Sight worked really well.
I also had the Pixel2Mod V8.3b1 Camera for my regular use and Pixel 3 based Night sight enabled mod for Night Mode as they have different package names.
Lets us find out the best Stable PIE ROM(With Fast Charging as well) + Pixel 3 based Night sight enabled Camera Mod Combo and keep posting updates.

So far the custom pie roms that work with pixel 3 camera 6.1 debug2 by @Arnova8G2 on Asus x00td 4/64 variant base on my experience are:
- Pixel Experience
- Liquid Remix
- Havoc
- XenonHD
- AEX official
- Frankenrom
Night sight work
front camera result become green but if I took photo with front camera outdoor with daylight it works fine

I didn't have any previous versions. Even beta1 and 2 can't be installed. Does it have to do anything with the Gapps version installed?? I have installed full version. What have you installed??

I am on AEX 6.0 android 9.0
If i install open Gapps mini with the ROM the app installs but with any other higher set of Gapps the installer fails.
What's performance like? Are any Treble ROMs usable as a daily driver? Anything I should know before I switch to a Treble ROM??

No notch support but it isn't even too noticable. Yes it's pie, a new release should be out any day now, but 10/27 build is Oct patch. No bugs.

Ohh yeah, and can you turn on the WiFi hotspot while you're connected to a WiFi network (like you can on stock)?
Personally, i like Pixel Experience and HAVOC
I put together a How-To for those who are interested :
Flashing ProjectTreble GSIs on the Essential using TWRP 1) either boot or fastboot into TWRP
2) Wipe Cache, System, and Data (1 GSI required internal to be wiped, i forget which)
3) From Main Menu, select Install and Flash UN-ZIPPED A/B system.img
4) Reboot Recovery (It's going to say there's no OS, act like you didnt see it.)
5) Reboot System and Enjoy!
6) Most of the later GSIs from October to Present I have flashed and am happy to say
they all contain pre-installed Magisk and ALL but 1 contains Gapps.

Well, it is not that I'm too lazy to search. But I'm sure that there is more than one havoc treble in the whole world. But you have apparently stumbled upon one that works well. So if you by any chance do have a link, that would be very much appreciated.

Here ya go, there are 2 havoc for treble, this one is the only one that would work on my essential. I believe they Are a unified project now as the other havoc treble thread is closed.

I ran it from late August to current. Builds before 10/27 required a selinx permissive changer magisk mod to be flashed preboot from recovery to enable the kernel to be permissive instead of enforcing.. starting with the 10/27 build this isn't required, just flash as normal gsi installation. And the other havoc thread had builds that never worked for a lot of phones, prob was that thread..this is different. U should be fine

Pretty sure pixel dust and havoc are almost twins. Just havoc was the primary twin and absorbed most of the nutrients and pixel dust is cool don't get me wrong, I just had a couple force closes vs havoc, none.

New Pixel Dust running great, without issue
Yes pixel dust is amazing and my fingerprint reader works perfectly
no notch support so status bar has some spacing issues other than that couldn't be happier
