i have one problem, when i flash RR or LOS or even ViperOS, all of them give me error com.andriod.phone has stopped and i can't go any further because sim cards are restarting themselves letting me no chance to continue setup process.

No man! I have used RR, VIPER OS, still I didn't got any error while setup! I have no idea why u are getting this error! Sorry man... Can't help u.

1. Uninstall apps that unneeded.
2. Try Odex your ROM (if you doesn't use stock ROM) here:

I used to have that problem in my phone. Just update your phone... When i've bought my galaxy y internet was lagging because it was using old browser, i have update it and no more lags...
To solve problem: Update your phone if you are using stock
Or, use a custom rom (if you want fast internet dont use cm7 or aosp because they're using old browser)
My feedback
Guys i am returning with some feedback. Tried some CM7 roms and i was very satisfied with jellybread 4.5 with Percy libs and kernel added. Very fast, no major bugs. Wifi is working, as well as camera recording... Also tried blackdroids lie v6.1 and is good too, but with that xperia look. I will continue with jellybread by now. Surfing the web is smooth now... Almost like magic for someone that uses stock rom or most custom rom. Cheers! I thank all member above for the suggestions. I already pressed the button [thanks] for you all.

NN8 rom doesn't support AOD yet though you flash aod supporting custom kernel so kindly wait for dev to provide aod framework for specific rom to work aod
But as far as i know S8 port is coming soon so @Androidwizzard will add AOD support in s8 port surely till that you can enjoy ambient display which is quiet similar to aod and surely less battery consuming by flashing RomeControl V3

I got a note 7 port i know its only mm but my aod works flawlessly. I dont know whT all the problems are. I flashed a compatible kernel and changed a fewsettings and all is good
i installed it but i cant see AOD option in display

Working great so far ,
but I needed to flash Magisk because LOS
integrated Root seems not to work for me.
I've installed all my apps and no probs .

b.t.w. comming from RR and did a format before installing.
Don't forget to unmark readonly in mount.
I'm using this since yesterday, everything seems to work so far. Including double tap to wake and fingerprint.
I flashed from MIUI EU ROM 7.4.27 (Android 6), wiped Cache, System and Data in TWRP and flashed lineage.zip followed by opengapps.zip.
As root solution I'm using magisk 12.0 and the Xiaomi SafetyNet Fix Module, passing safetynet.
Had to flash a different twrp.img for touch to work in recovery too.
I made a backup of RR O606 , flashed this rom based on N 7.1. 2 , flashed latest gapps, flashed SuperSU instead of Magisk. All is fine so far ...using as a daily phone...smooth fast without hiccups ...Let s see if this nightly or weekly...
Well it works. Great news indeed.

Thank you for informing us this good news ! this rom is excellent for daily use, stable, and good battery : we don t have to fight any more for the double tap, overheating and many annoying thinks such as screen gets dark , echo with loudspeaker and so on...and we have as genuine 7.1.2 on MI MIX !

When I started the set up , i was asked if I wanted fingerprint...
You can anyway find in the device Settings : Security the necessary option for fingerprint..

I'm still having the speakerphone echo problem with this Rom. I didnt expect it to be any different from RR Rom. If papps can't fix it, any aosp rom will have the same issue.

No never had the problem, something like flash dev, set up fingerprint reinstall twrp, then you should be good to go. Think there is a guide somewhere on RR. Have to be careful you don't relock bootloader, when using mi flash, there is an option somewhere in miflash. Find a guide. Edit: something like this

Hey guys,
I flashed a Note 4 ROM onto my Note Edge, in order to make good use of the entire screen. (So that the curved part could also show content.)
Everything works flawlessly, except for the camera interface. As you know, the screen resolution of Note 4 is 1440x2560 while Note Edge 1600x2560. As is the normal case on the stock Note Edge ROM, the camera interface which is 16:9, should have shown on the left 1440x2560 area of the screen, alongside a dark bar on the right 160x2560.
But now, just the opposite, the interface shows on the right and dark bar on the left. However, the real problem is that the touch area doesn't correspond to the display area. That is to say, the touch area is on the left side while interface on the right. When I touch the shutter button on the screen, it has no response, I have to touch 160px left, and when i touch to focus, it actually focus on a spot on the right.
I know some of you guys have experience of developing tweaked TW ROMs compatible both with Note 4 and Note Edge or porting a TW ROM from one totally different device model to another, so how did you solve this kind of problem? What should I do to get the camera interface in the right position (on the left)?

I've tried several means but none worked:
1. I extracted and copied the SamsungCamera3 folder using a root explorer from the stock Edge Rom to /system/priv-app/, granted right permissions to it and to all files in it, restarted the phone, but then camera Fc and I had to restore the folder back.
I then replaced it using a deodexd camera apk from note edge rom, still on the right and the top line of widgets in the interface disappeared oddly.
I also replaced camera related files from Note Edge stock Rom in /system/lib, /system/framework, /system/cameradata and /system/saiv, but no effects.
2. The 'adb shell wm overscan' way is not an option either, because it would affect all other normal apps universally. Is there a way to change the display area only for a specific app instead of whole?
3. Tried the Xposed Module 'App Settings' v1.10, 1.13, 1.16 to change the display resolution for the camera app, no effects.

Glad you are here. Yes exactly, Note 4 ROM on Note Edge. Many guys have done that, not just me. ?
I managed to apply some temporary solutions, e.g. Google Camera 2.x version, 'Screen Shift' App, A5 Camera in ananjaser1211's Nemesis Refined ROM. But none is perfect. These solutions only allow camera interface to show in the middle instead of left like the stock one in Note Edge ROM. Not to mention that these are not as responsive and stable as stock camera app or photo quality not as good or they drain battery fast. I'm just looking for a method to overscan left by -160px only individually for Samsung Camera App instead of universal system. You've got any ideas?

Thank you for your reply and solution. The .zip you provided is actually an S7 Camera port, and it would only work on S7/Note7-port Roms instead of stock Roms. Thanks anyway.
