Joying Dab antenna and 4G antenna - Android Head-Units

I got from Joying a DAB USB stick which came with a antenna just like the 4G antenna that came with the Joying head unit. The problem is that I'm getting no reception at all from the Dab . Has anyone got the Dab USB with the antenna like mine ? Or I was sent the wrong antenna ?

When I bought the Joying DAB adapter a few years back, the antenna packaged with the adapter looked like this:
This picture is actually from Joying's website where they sell the DAB adapter, but I double-checked with the antenna that I got a few years back and it is exactly the same.

So, yes looks like they gave you a 4G antenna...

Thanks for that. I had a gut feeling they sent me a 4G antenna but wanted to be sure. No wonder no reception at all !!

I found that the antenna wasn't particularly good, so I bought a powered amplified antenna. It sticks on the glass like @realzoulou pictured but it has power inputs to increase signal.

Nexus 7 car install gps problem? Connecting to cars factory gps reciver

Nexus had descent signal and now after i installed it in dash it cant lock on
How would i go about connected my cars factory gps antenna to the nexus i am assuming that would provide best signal?
Original connector is fakra
As far as I know, the Nexus 7 is not able to connect to an external GPS antenna as it lacks the ports to do so. There may be some USB solution but I wasn't able to find anything when I looked. I did, however, come across something which may help. Keep in mind I have had no experience with this so take the recommendation with a grain of salt and do your own research.
For situations like this, they have something called a GPS reradiating antenna. It is used in cases such as yours where the device is unable to lock on due to poor signal reception. This seems to pick up the signal via one antenna and then rebroadcast it through a second so the new signal is strong enough for the device to lock on. Here is the first result on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/SBG-190-Re-radiating-Magellan-portable-navigation/dp/B001UI4Z2A
Check it out and see what you think. Hopefully it does what it claims and can help your problem.
It'd be cheaper to just get a bluetooth GPS.
cant i just cut off the plug on the cars factory nav and solder it to the nexus 7 pins?

Auto pumpkin double din head unit WiFi issues?

I just bought this unit from autopumpkin from amazon and got it installed. Asin B0151KNXJ8 and it works great except for the WiFi. I have tried USB and Bluetooth tethering but that are also not working to get an internet connection on it. Has anyone else has this issue and fixed it?
In older Pumpkins the WiFi antenna was comprised of a short piece of partially stripped coaxial cable buried inside the case. Needless to say the metal case was shielding the RF signal making WiFi all but unusable even a few meters away from the router.
In the later units this antenna was extended outside the metal case - it's that little black 40-50mm (1.5"-2") long tail that sticks out of the back panel. In these units the WiFi reception is much better.
Recently I replaced this weak single wire WiFi antenna in one of my units with an external WiFi antenna that I stuck to the back panel with a double sticky tape. This mod has given me the best result so far. This unit connected to a lab power supply on my desk in the office on the first floor reliably pulls in the WiFi signal (4 bars) from the router located all the way on the other side of the house, in the basement.
I scavenge these antennas from broken tablets and WiFi TV sets with broken screens. This antenna looks like a small PCB with an etched geometrical pattern connected to the WiFi card with a coaxial cable - you can't miss it.

OEM GPS on Joying 2GB Intel Unit

Hi All, I am wondering if i can use the OEM GPS antenna with Joying Intel units by using below adapter.
I have ordered VL 131N2 unit for my VW Passat 2012 B7 car and if possible i would like to use OEM GPS.
I checked with Joying and they said i need some adapter but they didnt know what kind. I googled little bit and i understand VW OEM headunit RNS310 GPS has " FAKRA " connector. So is the below shown " FAKRA-SMA " adapter right now for me ?

Let me know if anybody has information on this. Thanks !
I have the same car and the adapter looks good. Should work.
Myself I use the GPS antenna that came with the JY device, because I replaced the OEM roof shark antenna (GPS, GSM) with a Calearo 16V DAB/FM antenna.
Should work. I have the same

Thank you both..as usual xda has the answers :good: I will place the order for this cable.
i used an adapter like that for my Jeep with my Joying, worked fine

Joying 135N2 won't use external mic!!! Only internal :(

Hi guys,
Can't seem to find a solution to this but my HU seems to only use the internal mic on the front of the HU and not the 3.5mm one I have attached to the mic plug at the back.
Tried to wipe the unit entirely and reinstall latest 7th July firmware and also tried 2 different mics.
Is there a reason the audio is only being rooted from the mic at the front?? The first time I installed Viper4Android the other day ... could this have caused a problem??
Having completely wiped the unit I can't see how I'd still have this problem when it worked before
Joying are a seller only, they buy from manufacturers, attach a "Joying" badge and sell them on, so there are no "Joying" units.
To find out what unit you have go to settings/about device, the entry in the MCU field will tell you what unit you have, post a pic or tell us what it says, then we can identify your unit.
have you tried to check the connector on the motherboard ?

I have checked and unfortunately the connector is fine but it still refuses to use and plugged in external mic. With the bluetooth issues and this it might be time to give up and buy a head unit from a decent manufacturer!
I'm having this same problem. I checked the connector inside and it seems fine as well. 6021 motherboard, Android 6. Absolutely NO audio not even static coming in from external mic and when I use the external mic nothing comes in from the internal mic.

Ownice C500+ Key Ground wire

Update: I got it working now. There is no SWC ground in the connector. I had to ground the SWC Ground from thr car side to any ground to get the steering working. Thanks guys.
Does anybody know which pin is key ground in the connector that comes with c500+ headunit?
Or do i not need it to get SWC working, only connecting key 1 and key 2 is enough?

My car is a Pajero Sport. It doesnt use any canbus to decode. Just an ordinary resistant type.
