Hi all, any estimation dates on when pixel experience will be available for Mi9T? I'm so excited for it.

In this thread i added Pixel Experience GSI

Been using it since yesterday and all is working fine, as if i was using my old Xiaomi mi6 with the offical PixelExperience rom.
Only thing fond not working is bluetooth audio. I can make Google assistant communications and phone calls but no media audio is comming thru.

Battery life is just as good as MIUI (I've had it for only 2 days now so let's see how it works long term...). FPR works but is kinda slow. Also, you have to wake the screen first unlike in MIUI where FPR works while the screen is off. The popup selfie cam, unfortunately, requires you to send it commands via terminal in order to work (that is if you opt to flash the auto-retract patch. Otherwise, your front cam will stay popped-out forever.)
UPDATE: The Pixel Experience ROM I was referring to above was from the GSI forums.
The Pixel Experience GSI from this thread was apparently made specifically for the K20 Pro. Being a GSI, of course, it should work like just as flawlessly with the standard K20... And it did. I tried it this morning and was nearly perfect! Audio isn't distorted, the selfie camera works, FP was satisfactory though you still have to wake up the screen.

Yes camera work as it should. And audio is good but no bluetooth media is a bummer and will wait till some one fix it.

Pixel experience from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-9t/how-to/index-roms-misc-9t-t3950115 from 4pda it is in zip, so we just install it in twrp, or we have to do unpack and install as other gsi rom?

You have to unpack the .zip first to get the .img file. You then flash that as a System Image like you would any other GSI.

Very interesting about firmwares. on 4pda forum. They say that we can use firmware from k20pro but it needs to be edit.

Wait, so does that mean we should be able to use custom roms built for the K20 Pro on our mi 9t, as long as we rebuild the rom with the correct boot.img?

i just download pixelexperience from k20pro and will try to do that edit. will post later here.
only problem for me is i am using OS X, so dont have notepad++ i have to find alternative, dont want to instal windows now.

I am using Pixel Rom GSI for the K20 Pro + Magisk + Permissive since yesterday and everything works, the bluetooth works with the perfect fix.
Only two things to consider:
1- The fingerprint is activated only when the screen is turned on.
2- The camera LED does not activate when you exit or save.
Of the rest 100% stable.

I successfully boot into system and pixel experience rom for k20pro editing rom as it posted on 4pda forum.
For now camera works selfy also, and red led works when popup.

This is great news. Good work on getting it working! Was it difficult and can you tell us which files you edited and with what lines? I read the post on the Russian forum, but I'm not totally sure on what was edited/done.

Finger print take finger scan, but as i have glass protector it often say it is dirty sensor, to clean it. but it take scan.
and while i try to unlock, it cant, saying that or i do quick, or sensor is not clean.
i will not put out screen protector to test scanner.

it is explained well, what we take from EU MIUI rom to put (replace) in pixel rom.
then to edit script, to delete firs 2 lines . and make again zip file to flash in twrp.
I will try to upload my pixel rom, but dont have fast internet.

Hong Kong MK3 rom (Google Drive link added)

For those wanting to upgrade to a newer 4.3 build, I have just flashed the Hong Kong MK3 rom which has a build date of 15th November and a higher change log than the India release
It's stock Samsung without any operator bloat. Am finding it very fast and smooth but as always it could be just be a placebo effect.
Flashed the latest version of TWRP and then rooted with Dr Ketan's Multi tool. Obviously the Knox trigger is now activated but that's not a concern to me.
Just tested some gaming with NFS - Most Wanted and is very smooth.
For those who like benchmarks, here you go...

my screenshot is from a omega v19 + N3 mod + 240dpi device.
without any OC, OV or tweaking. just installed antutu and run the bench.

2. Have you tried xposed framework?
Noted that Know is present - like you I don't have warranty concerns.
3. So bootloader gets flashed during install? I'm using Ketan's v5 ROM without the new bootloader

1. Not tried it yet, to be honest would rarely use the Note 3 features.
2. Xposed working fine, running Greenify and Boot Manager modules

Have taken this from the language.xml but if you know of a better way to get the languages let me know. Have removed all of the test modes so can get it via the dialer code

yes this rom multiCSC (multi language) and nonwipe ROM there is no problem.

I can't access the dialing codes as I have removed factory test, LCD test, Bluetooth test etc from the rom and can't get the dialer codes to work.
Currently uploading the rom to Google drive for anyone that wants it...it could take a while though
Will post the link when it's available.

Already installed it , Arabic Languages with other is there , find some delay in rendering the lockscreen and homescreen if i pressed home button , will wipe again and test
not a lot of new features and the update looks weird , the mix between new icons and setting menu and old launcher seems to be odd but we can do nothing about it if you want to be the closest to stock experience

After rooting I de-bloated it all, got rid of Knox and most of the Samsung stuff including S-voice which I find helps with the response from lock screen to home screen.

So far every thing is working OK , installing my apps and will start using the ROM on daily basis
annoyed that i can't add Lock Screen widgets if i chooses to use Pattern or Pin for security also in 4.1.2 there was an option to get the Ripple effect screen before moving to the real Pattern or Lock Screen which is gone now

Is it only my device or after this update and using the device for while not at heavy tasks just facebook or whatsapp it gets a little bit warm
the device is getting warm from the back around the camera , so any other one have the same issue ?!

So...what does the "S" in our device name stand for u ask? Well...on your planet many may say it means "SUPER" or "SAMSUNG" or even "SKYHIGH" (lol...soon hopefully ). Just to be clear i am NOT a dev by any means...only another enthusiastic user looking to make a few improvements to his device so i & others may enjoy it more. I guess i should start out by saying that i created this rom for personal use simply so i wouldnt have to individually reapply every mod after a fresh firmware flash...my main motivation in doing so is to add back functions that samsung saw fit to remove from our tab such as the lockscreen widgets & quadview. So, while i will be open to suggestions to make this a better rom, i'm not actually interested in making it "pretty" with cosmetic changes since my first focus will be function over form...however anyone with expertise in theming is more than welcome to create flashable packages if u would like to. The only thing that has been removed is knox but i'm sure u can find a list of apks that are safe to eliminate elsewhere on xda (u can delete the files directly from the zip or uninstall after u flash)...with this being the first version please dont expect anything too fancy so for now just consider this a "stock plus stuff" WIP & with that being said i will now release for the rest of my fellow TAB S owners SuperSamsung V2!
ROM FEATURES! (see screenshots in second post...basic instructions located below photos)
1. Rooted

6. No Knox (this is the only thing that has been removed...anything else will need to be deleted from the zip or uninstalled after flash)

8. Lock Screen Widgets! (FINALLY figured out how to re-enable these...thx @Goldie for the info)
9. Assistive Light Widget (adds led flashlight widget...other apps unnecessary)
10. SDfix (apps can now write to external memory...no need for playstore fix)
11. Floating Multiwindow (mysteriously missing along with the ability to rename shortcuts...both have been added back)
12. Stock Widgets in ANY Launcher! (now use the stock samsung magazine widgets in your favorite launcher or on the lockscreen...see pics in post #2 below)
13. Screen Mirror Fix! (no more broken wifi display with custom kernel/recovery...once again thx goes to @esgie)
14. AC3 Sound (can now play movies with ac3 in any video player...thx to @bodivas)
14. MultiWindow Mods (added the ability to use MOST apps in floating mode as well as more than one copy at the same time WITHOUT needing another app...also automatically adds all apps on your device to the availability list)
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS!
1. Copy rom to device
2. Boot into download mode, flash custom recovery then IMMEDIATELY hold power, volume up & home to boot into cwm/twrp
3. install zip & wipe both caches
4. Open Supersu & when asked to update "su" binay choose "cwm/twrp" method...device will reboot with full root
5. I suggest installing nova launcher & even completely deleting all touchwiz/magazine apks for smoothness/memory purposes...this step is optional
6. If u need 4 way reboot, call & screen recording, volume key music control, or want to add more apps to multiwindow plus a bunch of other stuff then i HIGHLY recommend wanam xposed module...of course this is optional as well
KNOWN ISSUES!
1. lockscreen widgets can only be deleted in portrait orientation
2. music widget has no buttons & gallery widget is blank when used with other launchers
3. wifi passwords may be forgotten upon reboot...please flash the skyhigh kernel by @UpInTheAir for a fast fix (recommended anyway)

@edan1979 i remember u being one of the original testers of my multiwindow mod on the P6800 so i just wanted to say thx...i hope that i'm not stepping on any toes by creating another t705 rom but i knew i had one killer feature which users would want (lockscreen widgets) plus a few missing multiwindow extras so i felt the need. So to both u & upintheair i just wanna say....i'm glad we are all on the same device now & look forward to making the most of this tab together :highfive:

this is "hd widgets" being shown on the lockscreen...to add more widgets simply swipe right on your clock & u will see the "plus" icon which brings up the list

not sure how no one noticed this was missing but here goes the floating mode...just "tap" the icon in the multiwindow launcher instead of dragging it to create a new movable/resizable app window (please note that not all apps support pop-up/floating view...however this has been modded in V2 so no extra apps are necessary to enable this feature)

this is the 4-way multiwindow mode also known as "quadview" which was present on the 12.2 inch pro tabs...to set this up just drag 2 apps to split screen as u usually would then drag 2 more to any corner and they will highlight/snap in place. Also...for users who didnt know u can save a shortcut with up to 4 apps by touching the 2 lines at the bottom of the multiwindow bar, pressing create, then naming the combination whatever u would like to call it which will then be located at the top of the launcher when u open it
STOCK WIDGETS IN ANY LAUNCHER
although this screenshot APPEARS to be a regular magazine home page in the touch wiz launcher if u look a lil closer then you will notice the dock with the app icons...now all of your stock samsung widgets can be used used in the your favorite launcher such nova or apex as well as om the lockscreen

well...i was waiting on that since i had been having bluetooth/wifi issues which prevented me from releasing the rom earlier. Most important question...which device are u using (size & type)? One quick fix may be to change the "securestorage" setting in the build prop from "false" back to "true"...it may be that your modem/kernel dont match the rest of the rom which would mean u need to flash the NG2 stock odin firmware before u flash SuperSamsung. Also...which recovery are u using just out of curiosity?

I'm using the 10.5 variant (SM-T800) and yes I had not odined the newer NG2 firmware. I just odined that now and the WiFi is working so that was probably it. I'll flash your rom in a bit after I'm set up. I was using openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.1-chagallwifi for my recovery. I'm betting flashing the Odin firmware will do the trick.

Just arrived through the door after being away the last month. Will start to look at the kernel in good time. Family and sleep time first.
There might be some issues with the kernel and newer firmware. Still getting feedback to get things narrowed down. ...
There is a feature request in the kernel thread (Web view). Can't promise much as I'm no Dev, but am going to rebase the kernel from another source and with the ramdisk from the latest firmware. Might start downloading now and setup github.
Will also be looking at 10.5" kernel too, so lots to hopefully look forward to

no problem at all on the assistance with the rom...looks like it might be my turn to phone in a favor in the near future. yeah...i didnt want to touch the kernel in mine because thats actually what breaks the screen mirroring NOT root. As long as u have a factory recovery & kernel it will work ok...also as u have pointed out in the other thread there is a file that can be hacked to enable it but unfortunately it seems that the location still hasnt been found on 4.4.2 exynos devices & i know from personal experience on my lte tab pro with the snapdragon that it only worked with an altered recovery even with the fix...meaning if the kernel was touched then it would still be broken. The guy who hacked our file (@esgie) came up with a simple build prop edit that is supposed to work around that but i had to file an insurance claim on my pro & ended up replacing it with the tab s so i never got chance to test. Anyway...i said all of that to say that its believed that wireless display runs sum sort of checksum against the key/signature of the boot image or perhaps thats part of the same trustzone/secure storage issue as wifi. Speaking of which...I assumed that too which is why i already altered the build prop to false but before that i was running into a weird camera/bluetooth issue which i tracked to knox traces still left in the zip.
@ anyone with a definite answer...a quick question or 2 that are a bit off topic
has someone been able to confirm that the sixaxis app works with our tab through a bluetooth ONLY connection...in other words WITHOUT needing to be plugged into the tab with an otg cable?

I apologize if i didnt make it clear enough but this is for ALL EXYNOS VERSIONS of the TAB S...if u look at the download section of the first post they are labeled with both wifi & lte

although its easy enough to add i purposely tried not to include alterations that were already handled by xposed modules....well one being wanam in particular especially when u consider all the work it would take to modify & maintain the code on 4 different devices. it does so much & is so good at it that even though i like my mods built directly in ive gotten used to installing it on every new device i own...so with that said if u need 4 way reboot, call & screen recording, volume key music control, want to add more apps to multiwindow plus a bunch of other stuff then i HIGHLY recommend wanam xposed module. If i find that a lot of users are steering clear of this rom because its missing that one feature then i may put it in an update but to be honest i dont see why they would...u will still need to add extra apps to your device for at least multiwindow so i say why not use xposed

I have a SM-t705 , the 8.4 LTE version.
I flashed STOCK NG2 and then this ROM and it works superb.
Only one issue: CPU Spy reports that Deep Sleep is never achieved. When it is iddle , it stays at 250Mhz.
Anyone else having this problem? Any clues on how to solve it?

Merging Roms,best of two devices

Hi guys in the latest 2weeks I've tested arya mod port n7, phonesis n7 on my sm_n9005 that was running on arya mod s7 port.
in my opinion all 3 are great but in my prespective if the 3 wore merged wellll it would be a ultra perfect rom.
on phronesis n7 the gallery aspet is just perfect and the smothiness of it all ui ....top.
on arya n7the costumization is more user friendly and has a ton of fonts to use and i dont know how to explain but....its easier on arya to do everyting.
if i could ask the gods for one thing it would the a port of 6x6 grig from s7edge port arya mod and a merging phronesis arya n7 ports.
if i could and had the know how i woould do it my self... but im dumb as s....

Use Arya N7 as base and manually replace Gallery and SystemUI from Phronesis and launcher from S7 Arya. Simple

How can i do that? Is it possible?

Custom Roms are zip files that can be opened with WinRar .##parts can be deleted and parts can be added .But if you get into trouble that's it its not worth the effort and devs are hardly going to give support .
Even if you did get it working the new rom cannot be published on XDA .
its not impossible but you are going to have to learn as you go and make your own errors .

I just merge files from 3 roms and did not work.
It was not for publish just for personal use.
Well i think im going back to old good arya s7.

it should work, some apps that need let say "Rom Control" app to work well it wont work on a rom that has a different rom control app or it dsnt have it, but u can replace mostly everything else BUT DONT FORGET TO SET THE RIGHT PERMISSIONS FOR FOLDERS, APPS AND LIBS
i think thats the problem u are having, not changing the right permissions when replacing apps, look up on google, i know for apps its " rw-r-r" just search on google " how to set the right permissions for apps and folders on android"

no, u cant use another rom system ui, u see, the roms are mostly not the same, they have different setting and options and requiers some other apps, i hardly believe it wont work with system ui, but u can try when u change it, wiping dalvik and cache
u can try with framework-res.apk but system ui...
what roms are u trying to merge ?

The idea was to have phronesis n7 rom as base with the modded grid from arya s7edge.
Some day with calm i get to it.dont have to much time betwen work school and kids.

you need to download both roms, install the one u whant to use if you dont have it installed yet, unzip the rom that u want to extract the launcher, try installing it manually, if it dsnt work then... find the launcher and replace it with the other but remember to change permissions for the folder and app, and also rename it to the same name as the other launcher had, everything needs to be the same

Just intalled arya n7 and gonna unzip aryas7 laucher.
Wich permissions should i use.
Cant find with root explorer the folder with the launcher to replace with the nem one

[*]MENU > ROMs > tap to Red FLOATING BUTTON on the bottom and select ADD PATCHED FILE > Select the zip you patched like: XXX.rom_data-slot_xxx.zip
[*] An annoying popup will ask some stuff, tap to CHANGE LOCATION > DATA SLOT, type an ID doesnt matter what,
[*] Tap to TICK, it will run an command window or some old looking arse stuff and you have to wait, DO NOT LEAVE the app until you see the script result like this:

[*] If you see an error, you're fk'd up Error is a new terror you know. Although it doesn't prevent you to boot; you better clean the f'n infected rom by ROMs > 3 dot button of the specific rom > WIPE ROM and select all the boxes.
[*] You can switch between the roms you patcher either in the app or flashing the Dualboot Utilities zip via TWRP.
Ps. I'll take a look at the flashing Gapps, mod zips for specific rom later on, probably easy to do. For now it's enough internet for me today.
[*]Yeah, flashed Gapps, Kernel etc by just Patching a zip file like Gapps-full.xxx_data-slot-xxx.zip which means you have to patch zip by selecting your target(Select your set ID for your rom).
NOTE: Resurrection Remix rom has got a modem verification string inside the updater-script, you can't(I couldn't) flash it until you remove that string and re-compress the rom zip as so then patch it or you already doing this multi booting process on RR rom. My primary rom is MM Epic, I succesfully booted into 8.2.4.0 Global stable and RR 0714(latest official i presume) roms, just saying.
SIDE NOTE: Can't get root to work on RR rom. The included magisk, previous versions, DX kernel, SuperSU nothing worked. What a pain in the arse.

The app is being biatch most of the times. Latest version never worked on my end, always crashed. But the version i've stated in the OP, the one which also crashes sometimes, but works generally. Clean cache and data of the app, uninstall and reinstall, before launching it, give the permissions it needs from app settings. Launch it, grant root permission, if does work; follow the steps of OP. It may crash once though, close the app from recents and re-launch. There is a reason of I call it a pain in the arse lol. Hopefully works.

My primary is Epic 7.5.4(MM), has got some mods as yours. I see that the original thread is filled with crash reports but there is no(i didnt see) proper fix rather than using an another version but you've already tried, so.. Perhaps you can see the culprit though crash log.

Yeah, couldn't get root either on RR, on XenonHD. Haven't tried another one though.

I presume you're doing this on your device. Here is some visual content that may help you.
After Extracting(unzipping) remove script that mentioned before and:
Some file explorers don't need zip to be extracted, you can edit the content as you wish but, in my experience these explorers corrupt the zip. The clear way is what i just sent [emoji106]

Some file explorers don't need zip to be extracted, you can edit the content as you wish but, in my experience these explorers corrupt the zip. The clear way is what i just sent [emoji106]

Hello gents, I don't like bragging like ''I was right...'' but I was
I've removed (Wiped in Dual boot patcher app) all the roms except primary(can't be removed lol).
Then clean flashed RR latest official, I have root priviledges on it(also xposed), then patched and flashed miui_MIMIXGlobal_V8.2.4.0.MAHMIDL which is not pre-rooted miui rom.
So, patched SR2-SuperSU v2.79 and flashed it too. Voila, both roms are running with root priviledges. So the key was being on clean flashed RR rom then patching multi-boot roms. Thing i may try next is xposed on both(or multiple) roms but for now i can sleep in peace lol.

Good News For all Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 4X user.
This tweak can only be used in manual mode, and auto mode can also be used.
This tweak tested on Working on MIUI and Other Custom Roms also.

To find out the check in the hardware info by pressing the kernel version several times and then select Version Information and check back_camera info then you will find some information like this.

Since the Long exposure driver have some bugs such as Video not working and Low FPS in auto mode(I am working on these bugs).I am going to introduce you to the Magisk module for faster switching between original and modded driver.
Materials
- Root using Magisk.
- File tweak camera
- TWRP recovery
1. Download camera tweak and flash it via twrp (Only if you are running MIUI).
2. Download Magisk Module and install it via magisk Manager.
3. Reboot
4. Launch camera.
5. Go to mode > select manual
6. Check your shutter speed and enjoy to capture light painting and light trails!!!
7. If you want to revert back to original driver just disable this module from Magisk Manager.

Great work bro, one of the things that I was working on too but wasn't successful yet.
Can you please explain to me in PM how you did it, it would be a great help for me to do it in my other device.
Edit: Tested on Los 14.1, works but makes camera laggy as hell.

Hex Editing and trying to decompile .so with IDA pro. Got nothing but meaningless garbage everytime with no leads to work upon.

Edit: Flashed This Mod On MIUI 9 v7.8.10. Works But Lags a Lot. Developer has confirmed that It is still in beta so it will lag, But I believe it would definitely becomes stable one day.
Also I saw that If we restore the original lib, even then manual camera on Stock MIUI camera works with max exposure time 1/2 sec. But Manual Camera too lags again. Any way to uninstall the Camera Tweak??

Follow my steps
1. open any root explorer
2. go to system>etc>device_feaure>then there will be a file mido.xml.
3.open that file and find <bool name="support_camera_manual_function">true</bool> and change it to <bool name="support_camera_manual_function">false</bool>
4.reboot(you can also change other features as per your need but make sure you know what you are going to do.
