You can enable it by downloading Kernel Adiutor or Ex-Kernel Manager app from play store.
I'm enjoying Liquid Remix because I can play PUBG and Asphalt 9 games in this ROM with game mode enabled.
A huge thanks to @difr for making it possible in such a low budget device. Give it a shot and you will never regret.
Thanks.

Thanks. Got it. I was under impression that it is inbuilt.
Hi. My father uses this device and since he will be going out of state for a while I want to know whether VoLTE works in roaming or not? Currently on MIUI 10 and absolutely hate it. Was on crDroid before. Thanks.
Yes it works. Tested on nougat as well as oreo. Haven't tested on pie

Does it work out-of-the-box or any extra APN tweak etc is needed? Which ROMs have you tested?

The Oreo builds right? https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-3s/development/rom-dot-os-2-1-xiaomi-redmi-3s-t3779721 and https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-3s/development/rom-havoc-os-t3808135
I have used Havoc on my Redmi Note 3 and really liked for its extensive customisation so I would probably go with it.

I remember in the days of nougat an ims APN had to be created only first time. after that VoLTE worked quite good.
In oreo ROMs no such tweak is required and VoLTE works out of the box.
ROMs tested -
Oreo - LineageOS 15.1, DotOS 2.5, AEX 5.6 by woivoid
Nougat - Viper 3.1 (probably the best nougat ROM, absolutely no issues at all)

I've found that there's an official stock Pie rom for Max Pro M1
https://www.asus.com/in/Phone/ZenFone-Max-Pro-ZB601KL/HelpDesk_BIOS/
Anyone one tried? Can the Camera 2 API be enabled?
Thanks.

There're many people saying the latest "stable" rom is buggy...
Anyone has 6GB (Indian) variant and upgraded to Pie stable and is suffering the same?

Yes... Overall i feel like my device got slower after upgrading. Also there's the issue with volume controls in landscape mode.

I have 6gb Indian version. I got OTA Pie last week. I didn't feel any lag or bug in the Pie.
Also, I enabled the Camera2 API after the Pie update.
