When I go to fastboot and connect it to my new computer a little white text appears on the top left and mi unlock doesn't recognize it. Fastboot and adb pick it up but mi unlock won't please help I'm lost on what to do
If you are using a PC with Ryzen processor, it will no work. Same if the USB port is 3.0. You need to try with a PC that dont have a Ryzen and use a 2.0 USB port.

You can use a Ryzen processor as long as you install the chipset drivers. Just google your chipset "A320/B350/X470 drivers".

My problem is little weird so i try to explain it as best as I can...
until today there was no problem to connect phone with USB but now when i connect the phone windows said "This device can peform faster this usb device can perform faster if you connect it to a Hi-speed USB 2.0 port. And another problem is when i turn phone into download mode start odin and connect the phone it said... usb device not recognized. I didnt flash any rom yet and i try different cables.
I am running on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. I try two different PC and its look it the same problem.
But the weird part is that on third PC which has also win 7 ult 64-bit it works just fine.
So i try reinstall operation system but the same problem. The computer is max 3 years old so its has for sure usb 2.0
So i am little desperate because i am not sure if its problem with computers or with the phone.
Thank you for any advice!
I always had this problem with the i9100 actually, I blame crappy usb drivers.
Kies installed? Did you also try different usb ports? Chipset and USB Drivers of mainboard installed?
yes kies installed and also try back and front usb... but same result...
and usb drivers are installed manually by windows as far as i know... or?

Standard Windows message for USB connections just means what it says .

Download mode how and whats on the phone in download window
Connection must be to a mainboard usb port .
If your PC has Kies make sure its not running make sure USB debugging is off on phone .
Power phone off restart start Kies connect phone does Kies see phone .
If yes turn Kies off remove cable connect phone in USB mass storage mode wait for windows to install drivers . Does PC see phone in Windows Explorer .

as I said I tried back usb and also front usb... same problem...
debugging is also off...
I try a little experiment... removed external grahics card and plug graphics on mainboard... and for a few seconds its works!
I try copy some video and speed was usb 2.0 but after few seconds its get error cannot copy bla bla and windows popup : this device can run faster and it change back to USB 1... weird...
and also i try again downloading mode but the same error... usb device not recognized...
Have you always used the same USB-port?
On some pc's, they only have one or two high speed ports and the other ones are "slow".
So yeah, try an other USB port on your pc

OP, I am confident it is a problem with your PC, and this XDA forum won't be able to help.
Try using another USB 2 device (like an MP3 player), see if you get the same message.
Use a different computers with the SGS2, see if you get the same message.

So I can't even get win 8 to install. It always asks for drivers for my sata device. I tried using the newest intel drivers from intel for the DX58SO mainboard(sorry can't post direct link) and extracted the drivers from the package to my usb drive. Now I've tried 8 different sata drivers in that package but have been unable to get it to accept the drivers. My sata mode is currently set to IDE
Am I just going to have to wait for the build to progress so that it'll accept the intel storage drivers?
try to update bios
It's been updated as well. Updating it actually shaved 15 or 20 seconds off the complete boot time to desktop but still not working for me. I have a feeling I'll have to wait a while before I can install this onto my spare drive.
from the product page of your board:
Six Serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s ports, including 2 eSATA port with RAID support supplied by a Marvell* controller
maybe you should try the marvell drivers, idk with sata ports are used by your hd / drives
Unable to find any marvel drivers. Only thing I can find on their site is for Ethernet. Ill just wait for a later build

So i try to connect my phone to my PC and all it does is charge the phone. I was able to root the Note with CF's method but i can't get it to appear under devices lime my S4. I tried using the USB 3.0 cable and also a 2.0 cable with the same result, i also tried uninstalling the Samsung drivers and updating them to 1.5.27.0 but no success there either. Any ideas on how i can connect my note and have it seen as a camera?
thanks

It should works. If you are using Windows, please make sure you run the Kies3 application, not the previous Kies. If you have not uninstall previous Kies, there would be 2 applications of Samsung Kies.

I have the same problem as the OP. I am running Windows 8.1 X64 and I tried usb debugging and Kies 3. This is frustrating I am unable to connect to my PC.
Got mine reconnecting by removing drivers under driver properties and then reattached phone and windows installed proper drivers all on its own.

Uninstall in a clean way (using, e.g., Driver Sweeper) any previous installed drivers and re-install this one: Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones 1.5.27.0 [Drivers Win 8/7/XP]. Should make it happen.
Use kies 2 not 3 or the drivers alone package and should work.
For me it didn't work with a standard micro USB cable. Just charges only.
I used the USB3 cable that is bundled with the device and it connects no problem. even when connected to a USB 2 port on my PC.
i bought a 3rd party USB3 cable from ebay and this works also.
The issue was from a intel Host USB driver, got Dell pro tech support to troubleshoot the issue for me and we updated the drivers and it worked

Apologies if this is really, REALLY dumb, but I rarely use windows. I bought this little windows laptop for the sole purpose of rooting my Note 3/Note 4 using odin -- no problem! I am trying to root my S7 Edge and when I try to just connect the S7 Edge to the PC without Odin running I get the "Found New Hardware Wizard" . In all the videos I've seen the phone should just pop up like a removable drive. I installed the Samsung Drivers, and I can't think of what else it could be other than that this ancient computer doesn't play well with Samsung. Any Ideas?
Here are the specs that I could find:
Microsoft Windows XP
Version 2002
Service Pack 3
Pentium 4 CPU 2.0GHZ
the computer is fine there is an issue with the samsung drivers. They maybe out of date.
does the new hardware wizard finish or stops and gives you an error message.
Pop shows if the drivers are correctly installed on your computer.

I would think the opposite, that the drivers are too new to be compatible with XP.

Thanks Guys!
It says that it is v1.5.14.0 which apparently I got on 12/22/2013. Do you think I should download a newer version?
Regarding the Hardware Wizard it asks me to connect to the internet, and when I choose not to that's it. Also, what do you mean by "Pop", Cosmic Blue?

if you choose not connect with the internet it cannot download the proper samsung drivers for your phone.
yes you need a newer driver as the samsung 7edge has some newer features older samsung drivers cannot read.
pop means pop up but i was typing too fast.

that is encouraging it means that the computer is trying to connect to your phone.
did you enable mtp on your phone. check to see if a pop up is on your phone asking for permission to allow the computer access.
try with other computers and change cables.
try to update your driver with last smart switch (uninstall current driver before)
if pb persist, try to connect usb driver (flash disk) to your device with OTG cable, if flash device can't be reconized on your phone, your phone connector is the pb. I hope this is'nt the case

Thanks for the reply! I have an OTG cable, and I am looking for a usb driver right now. I have got that to work in the past quite well.
What do you mean by "update my driver with last smart switch"?
Windows XP was fine until windows 10 arrived. Now most drivers and software demand newer libraries that doesn't exist or support in XP. So your phone being 15years newer could have problems with its parent(ie windows xp). Try upgrading to Vista(if hardware is too old) or Win7/10(if newer hardware). I suggest you to stay away from 8/8.1
ps. since its a pentium 4 processor, i'm not sure newer OS support it. Windows vista could run though(provided you have atleast 512mb of RAM)

Ahhh Thank you! Looks like I have my answer
I've read the threads about unlocking bootloader in the redmi note 7, but none of them helped.
So the main problem is whenever I connect redmi into PC, it's recognized, but when I enter Mi Unlock app (miflash_unlock-en-3.5.1128.45), the phone is showing in left-up corner "..key to shutdown" (I can't see anything before key) and it's unmounting from PC.
I tried connecting it in many moments, but the result is the same. I tried also installing drivers from xiaomi, that you can install through the app itself, but it didn't change the results.
I've installed ADB app and drivers (as shown here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979) and connected my device to mi account.
As in the thread on https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-7/how-to/one-redmi-note-7-unlock-bootloader-t3890751 I tried to check via ABS if my device is listed and there is the output:
C:\adb>fastboot devices
afd9005 fastboot
C:\adb>fastboot oem device-info
...
FAILED (command write failed (Unknown error))
finished. total time: 0.005s

And the device goes into that mode like from mi unlock app
I'm posting below the link to the screenshots of my phone's settings, os version and things that I've read could help (I don't know how to insert photos in the post other way).https://we.tl/t-O3Z7H6AABu
I've been fighting with it for too long... Maybe someone encountered this problem and/or is able to provide the fix.

Should to try another PC or use a 2.0 USB HUB. I also have same problem with my laptop (core i3 with USB 3.0 port) but it's OK on an older PC (without USB 3.0)
Update: Hi, I found a better way to fix this problem. I did with my Dell 14 5447 (with Intel chipset and Windows 7). I uninstalled Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host controler in Program and Features. And then download and install a newer driver from Intel (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...100-Series-and-Intel-C220-C610-Chipset-Family).

On my main PC plugging into a USB 2.0 on back panel didn't work, neither on my dad's PC, that have in the front panel USB 2.0.
So I opened the whole thing now on the laptop without USB 3.0 drivers installed. I installed win7 and I didn't have option in driver selection "Android", so I installed xiaomi drivers and just plugged the phone. AND IT WORKED! Now I just have to wait 102 hours XD
I have 2 modules inside my laptop that are connected to motherboard (1st include 2.0 usb, and 2nd 3.0, both on different sides of laptop), so they're in some way separated. I don't know how it would behave if I installed the drivers, but for now I'm not checking it.
Thanks you for help, I would never come up with that fix!
Just leaving the specs if it's caused by hardware and for someone who has the same:
i5-8400
B360M pro-vdh
Probably not improtant in this case, but just in case:
GTX 1060 3GB
16GB ram ballistix sport lt
