Tried 5 screen recording apps on Phoenix OS x86 v3.5.0 installed on my PC. Only one - Recordable - showed some limited success. The frame rate was terribly low (one frame in over 3 seconds) creating a slide show rather than a video. https://youtu.be/kn6cN-Gn_D8 Would appreciate suggestions!
same issue for me too low quality output anyone can help plz

Hi all, just want to check with you guys, is the youtube playback on your respective HD clear and smooth? Mine isn't clear at all with choppy playback. Even my friend's iphone has clearer playback compared to my HD. Is this normal?

Mine is choppy for the first part of whatever movie I'm watching, I think because it's still buffering in the background. After a while it's done and the video runs silky smooth.
By the way, I only watch YouTube over WiFi.
mine doesn't even after it has load finish, there's poor frame rate and is still slightly choppy. is it normal for it to have poor frame rate/choppiness cause when i view the same clip on my laptop, it's rather clear.
excellent response and framerate (over wifi) using the buit-in utube player but very poor using Coreplayer or other.. Could also be a router issue.
hmm..it has constantly poor frame rate playback no matter where i am, so i doubt it's a router issue. Am I the only one with this problem? It's kinda disheartening to see such poor playback on a HD device..
Mine has smooth, clear playback. I've only tested it using the HSDPA connection. A 17 MB video (4 minutes long) loaded and buffered really quickly (in max 8 seconds) and played smoothly and clear from start to finish.
It could be a problem with the connection, or with a lot of other applications running at the same time, or YouTube itself is sometimes buggy for a certain period of time (even on my desktop PC).
Try restarting or soft-reset your phone. Then connect to your PC via USB cable and activesync. Now view a youtube video. Does that change anything or is it still slow?
My experience with youtube both on wifi and 3g has been excellent I must say. there are some inconsistencies with how the files appear. most will appear FULL SCREEN, some appear as a square box in the middle of the screen (in landscape it's full height, just not the length of the screen). This may simply be something to do with the encoding of the video on youtube, not the connection of program. Just wish iplayer would work over 3 G now lol

Hi, I have tried searching for the problem I am facing with all the new builds I am using, particularly the ones based on CyanogenMod 6+, but could not find any information to enlighten me.
Problem: Normal video recording (using HD2ONE, JDMS) with continuous autofocus is fine if I were to record below 30seconds of footage. The moment I cross the 30 seconds mark, particularly 1 minute, it will force close on me.
Even using Darkstone's SuperRAM (without auto focus for video) gives me stuttering footage. It happens intermittently.
Have anyone had such a problem before? I am currently using a Toshiba 16gb microsd Class 4 card. Could that be the problem? Is there a work around?
Thanks. Any input would help tremendously.
Hello. I've noticed that, unlike my other droid based on the same SoC, the Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman, this X5 has a couple of problems when recording video, regardless of the ROM.
First, when recording in low-light conditions, the framerate drops to an unusable level. Even in the photo camera, when moving around, I can see some "ghosting". The other issue concerns the very low bitrate of the audio recording, but it seems that it's improved in the ICS ROM's using the AAC codec. At least the bitrate is higher, but I haven't tried yet if that translates to a better sound recording quality, or if the bottleneck in the video's sound quality is the quality of the microphone itself.
Has anyone experienced any of these problems and know any workaround? The framerate drop in low light happens even if the phone is overclocked.
Dual Mic Setting
Hello paraiso-san,
my wife phone had the "low-level" mic recording issue, and I fixed it following this procedure.
Since I did it some time ago I hope to write it correctly:
1. Launch the numeric pad, and compose this code: *#*#2846579#*#*
2. Phone will open a tech menu (pay attention!), click on ProjectMenu
3. Click on 1.Background setting
4. Click on 6.Dual Mic Setting
5. Set it to On
6. Go to home, and restart phone
NB
In case of no Dual Mic Setting line on tech menu:
1. Edit build.prop file, in system folder by Root Explorer, Root Browser Lite or similar
2. Add ro.config.dualmic=true on bottom of file and save the file
3. Restart the phone
In case of no changes on audio level when Dual Mic Setting has been set to On:
1. Set it to Off
2. Restart the phone
3. Take a video (just to try...)
4. Set it to On
5. Restart the phone
6. Take a video again (keep fingers crossed)
GOOD LUCK!
FeW
Thank you! Can't try the secret menu method because I'm not running the official 2.3.5 anymore, I'm using Aurora now and changing the audio recording codec from AMR to AAC made a huge difference. The mediainfo program for Windows tells me that the audio bitrate is now 96kbps instead of the previous 8000bps, and the audio is recorded in 2 channels (stereo) instead of 1. Does this mean the problem is solved, or should I edit the .prop file anyway? About the lag in photos and dropped frames in video recording under poor light, I can't find a solution. Could it be a limitation of the lens/sensor itself? My Sony WT19i has the same SoC, at the same 1.4GHz clockspeed, and it doesn't get lower than 29fps at 720p, even in total darkness. Not even if I underclock it to 800MHz. I don't understand why the X5 behaves this way!
Does anyone have experience recording live gigs (rock mainly) with the Note 3, and can recommend any good `extra` apps or advice for doing so? I have been told Recforge is good and to disable the automatic gain control and to select the "top" (stereo) microphone... without buying any expensive additional hardware does anyone have any extra tips for audio?
I also plan to record some video of what is a moderately well lit stage - again, any tips? I know video noise is an issue and have heard using 30fps mode is likely to be better than 60fps, is this correct?
Lastly - any special recommendations for camera apps, good ISO levels to use, anything like that, for photos?
Didn't mean to edit this.
BTW, in case anyone was interested. Open Camera has no video limitation and every function seems to work. There's still a 4GB limit, so depending on resolution that will produce shorter or longer videos. There is an option to restart video automatically. The hardware zoom is a little funky, but there's a touchscreen (-) and (+) to zoom which works fine for relatively stationary video.
This solved my issue with recording college lectures. I record in 720p so the video reaches just about an hour and restarts automatically. I upload the lectures to YouTube right after class. People are thankful if they miss class, and I get return favors, so life is good.
