I just installed this on my Redmi 5A. I have the latest official TWRP 3.3.1-0.
I tried to encrypt my phone, but right after displaying the usual message about taking an hour and having to reboot multiple times, the phone just went back to the lock screen. And of course, after cheking the status, it's still not encrypted. Should I use another recovery? Should I format the partitions differently? What am I doing wrong?
Edit: Nevermind, I resolved this issue by flashing OrangeFox recovery, then the official Mi ROM, then wiping Dalvik, Cache, System and Data, then Flashing Lineage and Magisk. I'm not sure which of these steps resolved the issue (lol), but I'm suspecting it was reinstalling the official ROM. I guess I shouldn't have wiped the Internal Storage.

Yes...
Working fine, flashed the ROM, Magisk 16 and NanoDroid and all works.
Note I upgraded from LOS 14.1 and only did a cache wipe.
Everything is Working Fine...
Even VoLTE , GPS, NFC is working...
It seems Quite Smooth!
Flashed it 15 mins ago... No problems So far.. Will report if I'll face any!

You can use any treble recovery. I'm using pitch black.
Wipe everything (dalvik,cashe, system, vendor...)except internal storage and micro SD (if you have one). Flash ROM, gaps and magisk if you want root. That should do it.

That pop is not a matter of importance and it should appear after very reboot just click on OK , once devs fix goodix sensor they will fix that too....

The battery icon in the status bar does not change
I flashed it once.. But i got an issue.. When the first reboot after the flash, it shows "To continue the Android, please enter the password". Which account's password is asking about..? I tried many passwords.. but it shows "Wrong" all the time.. so i flashed the stock again..
Can u please fix it or pls say which password is asking about.. Thanks..

Issue with SD card
How to skip "How will you use this SD card?" (formatting SD before using)
I have 100gb+ used storage. Making a back up and restoring it will takes a lot of time thats why I wand to skip
Volte not working!
Clean flashed this rom from nougat version but volte is not working, tried adding ims APN setting and also tried to flash some old volte fixes, nothing worked for me :crying:

hope 4g reception problem fixed on this release
Thx for your hardwork! Anyway, on previous lineage 17, I got problem on 4g reception. Sometimes, it lost signal completely and sometimes signal available but won't connected to internet. Have tried my Sim card on other phone and used other os on my riva and that problem gone. I hope it fixed in this release. Thanks again.

Delete /mnt/vendor/persist/sensors/sns.reg
or restore persist backup or follow this
Gyroscope isn't available in this device.
VOLTE doesn't work. I can't even find VOLTE option under network settings of my SIM. plz check it...
Help! twrp cannot mount /data after I flash this rom
Any idea on how to root this rom?
Update: I have installed latest magisk v20.4 via twrp successfully.. failed with v19.3 last time.
Update2: Still can't get compass working.. GPS is fine after flashing sensorsfix. Came from last miui11 oreo and downgraded using orange and installed nougat firmware.

I don't know how you got that error. Check in Apps & Permission if Magisk Manager is there or not. Did you flash it using the recommended recovery?. Dude, you need to give logcat and information. We cannot solve a problem in the air.

You need to downgrade to Nougat. Link given in OP.
