Why there isn't a official twrp version for lavender.....
As I could see there isn't an official TWRP build yet. If you are looking for a recomendation, I'm using Orange Fox right now, and love it

I have a Verizon Galaxy S4 that I unlocked the booloader using GeTex's thread. I have been trying to find an CM-based rom running lollipop.
Every time I download a KLTE rom i have LTE, but I don't have calling or mms. I found a couple of roms I wanted to try but when I download the KLTEVZW variant the message in Recovery says, You can't install a KLTEVZW rom on your KLTE device.
I'm assuming you're using the klte CM recovery, which doesn't specifically says to NOT use for the kltevzw yet. Use the most recent TWRP recovery from this website instead: https://dl.twrp.me/klte/
Any rom that explicitly says it supports kltevzw should work fine.
I dunno about a CM12 (Lollipop) rom for kltevzw, but here is a link to an (ALMOST official) unofficial port of CM13 (Marshmallow) that works very well in case you want to check it out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-0-mm-t3348205

actually I was using TWRP 3.0 fromt he bootloader unlock thread here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-0-mm-t3348205
I found Haggertk's last Resurrection Remix build before it went official and flashed that. I wanted LP because of some themes I had bought , but I'm happy with what I'm on.

The error message from recovery is because the ROM maintainer needs to update their updater-script to allow klte recovery to install that ROM. There is an assert that compares the device name to kltevzw and bombs out if it fails, that needs to be updated to allow klte as well.
Any AOSP/CM-based ROMs that are using the latest CM13.0 kltevzw source, or have merged the changes into their own repositories, will be OK.

So it looks like that version of TWRP is actually for the KLTE so is that why the rom installers think I'm on a klte
Oops, misunderstood a little bit. TWRP for klte supports the kltevzw completely - are you using the official & most recent recovery from TWRP.me? It supports MTP (finally) and is much improved from earlier versions for the klte, so there isn't really any need to use an unofficial one unless you want encryption. I can't really think of anything else that would cause this, I myself have used this rom, and many other kltevzw roms, with no issues.
I've tried the recovery from the bootloader thread when the unlock first came out, but it was much buggier than the official recovery.
There's always ROM Manager, if you're looking to flash incompatible firmware......... Just kidding. Don't use that.
Okay so I am currently running nitrogen 7.1.2.
Can I flash 8.0 from TWRP or do I have to unroot and update it from stock? And what is the most stable 8.0 ROM out right now?
There are no custom 8.0 ROMS in the usual sense atm. Going to take a bit while everyone updates the code.

You can flash the factory image if you unpack the zips with
twrp, but you should update bootloader and radio via fastboot first, you can't flash them with twrp. Or you flash the superxe rom, it's the only android O "custom rom", but bootloader and radio first with fastboot.
Here's a TWRP flashable zip for O DP4 Radio (3.84) & Bootloader (3.73) shared by Ramdyc @ https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73242386&postcount=362

Works fine on 7.1.2
Hi,
My axon 7 (A2017G) is currently running LOS 14.1-20170203-UNOFFICIAL. I was reading up on updating it and gathered that I need to flash an experimental build and then update to the latest nightly to get the latest official version, but I cant seem to find the latest experimental build for the axon 7. Where can I find this?

I'm guessing it's on the unofficial LOS thread? I remember doing that back then. The experimental build has an overlay all over the screen.
I don't know if it's actually needed anyways but if you don't find it I guess you can go back to stock and install the latest nightly manually

Would going stock and then back to LOS be easier do you think?

Lol if you can't find the experimental build I assure you it would be safer...
Use EDL Tool by djkuz, and obviously use an A2017G package (B09 for example). After that flash TWRP and install Lineage with the univ. bootloader, A2017G modem and Magisk, plus gapps i guess
I've been experiencing alot of battery issues in Pixel Experience and thought about changing back to the orignal MIUI Global ROM.
what i need to confirm is:
Can i just flash the file i downloaded from the official site using orangefox recovery? The same Wipe data, cache, dalvik, system. Then flash method?
Can i flash magisk (root it) and still get Offical xiaomi OTA Updates?
If you want to use a stock ROM then why not xiaomi.eu?
coz xiaomi.eu is not on the latest update.
and i want Latest OTA updates

What? No, dude you're just wrong about it, but before I go on, if you want, yes there is a Global Stock Zip that you can flash from any custom recovery and you can flash Magisk after.
About xiaomi.eu yes they have an OTA update and yes they are on the latest version available, both the stable and beta version, as matter of fact they are already on Miui 11 while the global Stock still the Miui 10 version 10.3.4 iirc.

Wait so you mean the xiaomi.Eu's latest 10.3.4.0 is the same as Global 10.3.12.0?
and is their MIUI 11 the final stable version or beta?

No! After you replied I went ahead and checked the right versions.
What I'm saying is that xiaomi.eu is always up to date with the official release.
Now after that where do you even found that ROM (10.3.12)? Are you sure that's that is the right ROM for lavender? If you flash a firmware designed for another phone you will hard brick your device.
Here is the official stock ROM and still V10.3.10.0.PFGMIXM (MIUI10)

Here, from en.miui.com, the global latest is 10.3.12
Xiaomi base on Chinese firmware, which latest stable is 10.3.4.0 and beta is miui 11 9.9.27 ( meaning 27/09/2019)
I've been using for a couple of months a M12 A11 Rom from a Greek forum. Last time I tried (2 months ago), I couldn't get my phone to boot when I flashed an AOSP rom like Lineage. I tried 2 different roms with the same results. What can I do to fix that? I used Orange Recovery R11.0.
Download firmware Miui 11 for fastboot flash via Miflash tool

Is this the right one? https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/lavender/stable/V11.0.1.0.QFGMIXM/
First download global miui 11 for fastboot.
Flash via miflashtol with clean all.
After install twrp Orange fox r11stable
Wipe all
Format data
Reboot recovery
Install rom aosp
Instal magisk
Reboot
After all this time, still can't get it to work. I've flashed MIUI 11.0.1 Stable, but amy aosp rom I tried installing, even after 20 or more wouldn't boot.
