Hi, could someone please help me with this issue I'm having. When I select a telephone number to add to contacts it keeps stopping. This happens on 3 dialers I've used and the stock dialer. I've not diabled any system apps and the phones not rooted, any idea guys and girls, cheers. PS.....I don't want to reset the phone before you ask, it's happened before, I've also tried clearing contacts cache and data but still stopping.
Same here any help? version 10.1.02.20

Try uninstalling updates and roll back to the factory installed version and see if it still happening

Recently my hyperdroid gbx Market updated automatically. After the update, I found that many apps I can use before are not able to download now. It always said "Your device is not compatible with this item". Do anyone know if I can revert to the old version of Market?
Thx.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Yes, go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications -- Find Market, hit Uninstall updates ..
And you'll get your old market back. However, the second you open it, it will close and update itself to the latest.
You have two ways to pass that:
1- Using TB Pro, Freeze Market Updater.
2- Remove MarketUpdater.apk from /system/app/ (of course after making a back up)
Oh, it works.
Thank you very much!!!
tried it , and now getting a diffrent problam

any idea how to fix this?, or has anyone has this problam?
Make sure you have access to internet from different applications.
Also, try clearing the cache from settings and cwm.

Erica Renee...
I just updated mine last week and now find that I can't install programs from non-android market sources. I have tried installing Amazon Market, with not luck. What is strange, is that when I get to the screen that says accept permissions, the install button won't activate, only the cancel button works. I tried installing another non-android app with the same situation. Yes, I clicked on unknown sources first.
Is this something that Android (Google) is trying to monopolize? Not happy about this, as one of my most used apps, which requires a recurring subscription, has been removed from the Android Market, and now I can't update it!!
Hey Erica,
As far as I understand the apps from amazon are not identical to those from the market place. I think since the market is more commonly used, apps are submitted there first and updated by the developers as frequently as they want. With Amazon, the apps must be submitted to be approved. They approve the updated apps (or not potentially) which is why they are so far behind the same apps in the market place.
I think they are also technically different apps since they must inject some code that forces that app to require that the amazon market place be installed before you able to run the app (if you remove the amazon marketplace app you can't run an app installed from amazon). I doubt that would affect the upgrade of an app, but I could see why google's marketplace would say it was not a legit app.
Erica. it happens when you wipe your data partition and then restore the app with TB. Somewhere in there android market will think its one of its apps and tag it. The only way to prevent this from happening is by re-downloading the app from Amazon after a data partition wipe and then restoring the data only with TB. I know this sucks but its a flaw with either TB or the way the market scans and registers your apps. That is why I usually never wipe my data partition when I switch roms. Its such a pain to get everything set up again.

You need to go into settings/applications and make sure unkown sources has a check mark next to it.

But I've seen this happen and I still use stock on my phone and tab. I have read others complain of this issue on amazon's forums and I was pretty sure these were people who didn't use a custom rom (but can't be sure about that though, maybe they weren't admitting it since it was on amazon's forums)

I did check unknown sources first. The strange thing is, I was able to download the same apps on my droid bionic, but not on my a500.
I had that issue a while back and un-installing/re-DLing/re-installing the Amazon app apk. fixed it for me. But I'm guessing you have already tried that. What version of market are you using? I had an issue with the newest version of market for a bit where it would make certain games/apps FC on me. Had to revert back to the version that came on the tab to get everything working again. Not really like your issue, but from what I was told at that point, the new market can cause all sorts of wonkiness with stuff. Sorry I can't be of more help.
So I have a 16GB nexus 4 and I have about 8GB left, and I was updating ingress and it says I don't have sufficient storage?! I don't have the patience or time to deal with this, especially since my iPads iCloud account got ****ed all of 5 seconds before I tried to update ingress (coincidence?). I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it, and then tried restoring it from carbon, which didnt even install the app even though I have it set to back up .apks.... Ugh I'm pissed righ now, someone help me?
I have Franco.Kernel and CM if that's of any help

Clear the cache in recovery and reboot, that should fix it.
Didnt work
Alright, I just solved it by going into /data/app-libs and deleting the ingress folders... Seems to have fixed the issue
Try clearing both the cache and dalvik cache in recovery, maybe that helps.

clearing both the cache and dalvik cache in recovery and reboot, remove the /data/app sub directory etc all doesn't work for my N4. :crying:
Normally you shouldn't just arbitrarily delete folders.
It helps to do something as simple as going into Settings -> Apps -> All, then sorting by size to see what apps are hogging the most (since they usually include /sdcard storage attributed to them).
I have slot of free space from the storage info, is it correct?
So it should be a bug on nexus 4?

I screwed up my phone by deleting folders inside /data/app-lib/ and had to reflash the ROM. I had more success deleting stray folders and media from my root directory.

All of the sudden I kept getting a notificaton that Google Play Services wasn't supported on my device and was unable to login to Google. I deleted my account and try to re-add it to no avail. I also tried to reflash the rom+gapps (dirty), I still cannot login to Google. I also tried clearing cache & data on Play Store & Play Services, no luck.
How do I go about solving this?
(AOKP rom btw)

I think I found a possible solution to this issue since after doing this I no longer have this issue. Here are the steps I did.
From the Home Screen, goto Settings > Apps
Swipe to view ALL and select Google Play services
Select Clear data
Select Force stop
Power Down the device
Remove battery (you can probably be fine with just a battery pull rather than power down & battery pull)
Power up the device
Once phone has completely booted up verify if the issue is still present or not by going into Google Now (Swipe up from the Home button or how ever you may access Google Now)
Guys, if you're still encountering this, or if anyone happens across this page, check and make sure you're set for network time in the date and time settings. Otherwise it will make your device encounter major conflicts with security certificates for most of the services offered from Google.
I had this on my LG O2x right now. A simple reboot fixed it.
Hi guys,
Lately I have been facing some issues with my S4.
Google Play/Google Maps/Google Synch/installing apks... doesn't work anymore, and phone freezes frequently !
the only odd thing that I can tell is that I have installed Wizzo (offers prizes by installing some suggested apps).
can guide me to identify the problem.
thanks

Your website didn't work, its telling me "please try again later"... but as I said I tried to install it using an apk file I downloaded from another source but failed to install it. (it goes on and on showing it is installing but never ends)
new things I discovered :
USB storage doesn't work (it doesn't show anything on the PC)
factory reset doesn't work, I click but nothing happens
Based upon your description, your phone's storage seems to be corrupted. If you're still able to get into recovery, you should have an option there to factory reset. Otherwise you may have to go through Odin and both flash a ROM as well as use a .PIT file.
At this point, if I'm correct, there's no way to preserve your data.
I did a hard factory reset.. the phone seems to work fine
I managed to save data using ES Explorer in a shared folder on PC (via LAN)
That's excellent news, especially being able to save your data with ES File Explorer. Glad you got things resolved.
