Some people aren't liking the 6610k or 6640k color temperature but I'm fine with it. Especially after seeing this video, I take the Pixel 4 XL color temperature over the S10. Way too blue for my liking.

I find colours really don't pop very well compared to my 2XL in boosted mode.. Are there any tricks to play with the screen temperature/saturation for those who are rooted or do we have to wait on more development ?

Yeah it's just too dull... I used iPhone 11 (not the Pro) which is 720p for couple of weeks and I like that screen way better than my Pixel 4 XL... My Pixel 4 XL display looks so pale...
Very nicely calibrated display.

I cant get definitive answers. some people say its normal, some people say its not. Some people seem to have this issue, some say theres is perfect. the problem is, nobody is posting pictures of their perfect, non pink screen. So, here is mine w/ a note 3 for comparison. the 6p has adaptive brightness on because that's how I like my phone.
so, picture one. Indoors under normal lighting conditions. The Note 3 is as dim as it can get, the 6p is at a comparable brightness, note 3 on right, 6p on left:

so, normal or not? If yours doesn't do that, can you post pics? comparison pics would be great if possible
My 6P does this too. in fact i think the Nexus 6 did the same thing.
also if you turn off adaptive brightness the pink hue is gone. but the screen won't go as dim
Far more important than default "white" screen color temp is whether it's even or has red/pink localized. Yours looks even so I'd call it acceptable. If the 6P is like the Nexus 6 then color temp will soon be changeable with Kernel Adiutor and a custom kernel.
If you RMA you'll risk getting a lesser device.

Hello not had an android HU before, but have an android phone and iPhone etc .
I think this screen is a bit dull in comparison, on a video it looks ok but in the flesh it’s much duller colours.
The last image is the HU own screen shot and under is the actual screen and my Galaxy for comparison.
It’s a PX5 unit.
Cheers

Its because of lower quality screen, and low resolution of the HU.. might want to apply some app for tweak.. but its normal.
Your Iphone/Samsung phones are IPS quality with like 400+ Pixel Per Inch.. compared to much lower of the HU.. <150 Pixel Per Inch.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 has a crazy crisp display. Just kidding, this is automated text so who knows if this screen is any good. So, you be the judge! A higher rating indicates that it's extremely sharp and clear, and that you cannot see pixels with your naked eye.

Outstanding
I'm getting a pretty noticeable shift in white balance when I tilt the phone. Becomes notably pinker when not looking straight on. TMobile snapdragon s10+. Anyone else seeing this?
Comparing against my Note 9 which has no noticeable shift
Got the s10e and have same pink shift. Im thinking the preinstalled screen protector is causing it... do you still have the preinstalled screen protector on your s10?
Definitely see screen tilt pink shift
I have the same - S10+, Exynos. It had all phones in Samsung store.
Best display.

Hello to all, are these waves on my screen normal; I am not talking about the reflections but the little bumps that the screen itselfs makes, like wrinkles. They are only appeared in a certain sharp angle and under the direct sunlight, also, the screen must be off.
I don't have any protection on the screen (films, etc)

Rate this thread to express how well you can see the 's display outdoors. In case you've been playing Minecraft for 18 months straight, you might not known how to get outside anymore. Well, find the door and walk through it. A higher rating indicates that it has very high maximum brightness and thus fantastic outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.

It's not stellar, but it's OK and I'm satisfied...
I don't like the brightness under the sun light.
How well do you know your fifty shades of grey? Rate this thread to express how good the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite's display contrast is. A higher rating indicates that black is true black, rather than a very dark gray.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
dark grey, note 9 is more black. s10 lite amoled is below note 9 amoled.
Bad amoled, like lcd
5
Thank you for your experiences but I do not understand why the blacks are bad. For one none of the review websites and youtubes mention this, secondly isnt amoled black not always pure black? Or do i have to think of the old plasma screens which are greenish, so these screens are not really black material-wise? Or does it turn greyish when you turn it on?
(Mine is being shipped as we speak so i cannot see it but its freaking me out, jk)
Mine is black enough 9/10
I now see what you mean, its dark grey not black. Bummer. So the panel material is different i guesss, when its off its the same.

Now that i have my own, its black, i dont look at it and think its not black.
Blackness of screen is very good but i guess it could be blacker compared to others, but for me no complaints at all. ( and i am quite the nagger when it comes to screens ) Maybe some have other screens but this one is great. EU model from Germany.
