The Samsung Galaxy S10 has a crazy crisp display. Just kidding, this is automated text so who knows if this screen is any good. So, you be the judge! A higher rating indicates that it's extremely sharp and clear, and that you cannot see pixels with your naked eye.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Outstanding
I'm getting a pretty noticeable shift in white balance when I tilt the phone. Becomes notably pinker when not looking straight on. TMobile snapdragon s10+. Anyone else seeing this?
Comparing against my Note 9 which has no noticeable shift
Got the s10e and have same pink shift. Im thinking the preinstalled screen protector is causing it... do you still have the preinstalled screen protector on your s10?
Definitely see screen tilt pink shift
I have the same - S10+, Exynos. It had all phones in Samsung store.
Best display.

Hello to all, are these waves on my screen normal; I am not talking about the reflections but the little bumps that the screen itselfs makes, like wrinkles. They are only appeared in a certain sharp angle and under the direct sunlight, also, the screen must be off.
I don't have any protection on the screen (films, etc)

Looking at the pictures on Google Play the bezel seems black now, not silver. Or is this just the lighting?
All the I/O units were black around the edge. The images on the play store are obviously not photographs so it may be an oversight, but in this rendering it still looks silver to my eye:

Not many people notice this but the nexus on the box that all of our 7s came in has a black bezel.

Pulling my own box, I can confirm this.
Nice catch.
Didn't cought my eye and "eye" love facts like that.
Might even have been the better choice, because I already have a few scratches around the edges of my Nexus7.
Should have been black all along !
It may have been a last minute decision to colour it silver, the corners of mine have rubbed and it is black underneath. Perhaps the plastic had some visual imperfections that were easier to 'fix' with a coat of silver?
I'm not sure but I think the ones with white back cover have a black frame. I've never seen a white one with silver frame anyway.
Let me start this with a picture of what's been plaguing all samsung AMOLED displays to date:

The S5's display has been lauded by many websites as a solid improvement over previous AMOLEDs.
Yet some mention a green tint, including an extensive AnandTech review.
Please share your thoughts on this if you received your device.
Yes it's still there. But not as bad as previous models.. All my note 3 Was really bad, but the s5 i Think is better and not so greenish looking tint

Wish they'd just get rid of it completely.

Hello not had an android HU before, but have an android phone and iPhone etc .
I think this screen is a bit dull in comparison, on a video it looks ok but in the flesh it’s much duller colours.
The last image is the HU own screen shot and under is the actual screen and my Galaxy for comparison.
It’s a PX5 unit.
Cheers

Its because of lower quality screen, and low resolution of the HU.. might want to apply some app for tweak.. but its normal.
Your Iphone/Samsung phones are IPS quality with like 400+ Pixel Per Inch.. compared to much lower of the HU.. <150 Pixel Per Inch.

this thread has info "alter DPI" check that out..
Hi,
I recently noticed a mark on the screen. It's only visible with light colours (especially white, with black the mark is not visible at all).

I did not find any similar case on the forum or the internet.
It looks like when AMOLED display are burned (like in JerryRigEverything videos).
But, it's LCD panel here...
From this video https://youtu.be/zuq2uPAEmeM?t=211 , the mark seems to be at the same level than this "copper bottom circle" :

Any idea ?
I've got a very similar 'stain' that is most noticable on a white background but never looked in to why it is so would be interested to find out what it is too! Not that it bothers me much and in fact apart from that it's an A grade phone as no scratches etc but as it had the stain it was reduced to C grade price so I only paid £90 for it which was a bargain!
I think the stain is glue and the spot on screen is caused by pressure. Hotspits can also cause such effects.
There were flat tvs, where the heat of the two SoCs on the mainboard (the second one was necessary for motion compensation, in single core days) would cause two squares appear on screen after the tv had warmed up.
I've just noticed a very similar stain in the same position in my LG G6. Lucky enough the two years warranty ends in two weeks haha, so it's already at the store and I hope they get it fixed soon.
How well do you know your fifty shades of grey? Rate this thread to express how good the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite's display contrast is. A higher rating indicates that black is true black, rather than a very dark gray.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
dark grey, note 9 is more black. s10 lite amoled is below note 9 amoled.
Bad amoled, like lcd
5
Thank you for your experiences but I do not understand why the blacks are bad. For one none of the review websites and youtubes mention this, secondly isnt amoled black not always pure black? Or do i have to think of the old plasma screens which are greenish, so these screens are not really black material-wise? Or does it turn greyish when you turn it on?
(Mine is being shipped as we speak so i cannot see it but its freaking me out, jk)
Mine is black enough 9/10
I now see what you mean, its dark grey not black. Bummer. So the panel material is different i guesss, when its off its the same.

Now that i have my own, its black, i dont look at it and think its not black.
Blackness of screen is very good but i guess it could be blacker compared to others, but for me no complaints at all. ( and i am quite the nagger when it comes to screens ) Maybe some have other screens but this one is great. EU model from Germany.
