It appears that applications, such as textplus, are unable to notify the User while the program is not in focus due to push notifications not being compatible with the fire. Is this something that can be turned on or installed or is it further down than that? I clearly don't know a ton about the system, just figuring this stuff out. Any information you can offer is appreciated. Thanks!
I think the problem is that wifi shuts off when the screen is turned off. Anyone have a solution for this?
Even if I am using the device I wont get a notification. However, if wifi is off with the screen that is a huge problem as well. I didn't even think about that. Thanks
Wifi keep alive app will help.
I installed a custom ROM a few days back and it was working fine for a while then I had a problem where Home button did not function & Lock screen did not appear.
I found a fix to this problem here on XDA in the below thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1246439
The original problem got fixed but after this I am not able to enable GPS at all, any attempt to enable GPS is giving me FC, don't know what's the reason for it.
If anyone has seen similar problem & were able to fix, please can you share the solution.
Thank you,
John
Hello,
I started seen this weird overlay notification when I turn on/off the WiFi it toggle the Hotspot. The text in the notification reads like this:
Active Type : WIFI, Work: YES
Mobile Type : MOBILE, Work: YES
Wifi Type : WIFI, Work: YES
I'm attaching a screenshot as well. Yesterday I did a factory reset and the issue is still there. But I recovered from the saved backup so maybe whatever is causing it (a setting or and app?) was recovered after.
Anyone seen this or knows what it is?
Thanks!
Found the answer at another thread in androidcentral. Posting it here in case it helps someone else.
You're a legend Xeon1!!! I can't beleive I did a factory reset for this, I thought it was me as I had been playing around with the Developer Mode options. I uninstalled the mydlink Baby Camera Monitor app and the issue is resolved, the overlay notification is gone! I still have the mydlink Lite app installed which does pretty much the same thing and this one does not cause that issue.
Thanks!
Hi all,
I have a rooted SM-G935U and was just wondering if anyone has found a way to disable wake when plugging in the phone? I have scoured Google, xposed, and the XDA forums but I have not found a working solution as of yet. Can anyone help me out?
Install Snoozy charger from the play store. The screen will still turn on, but immediately turn off again. To make this even faster you can make the animations faster or turn them even off in the developer settings.
The sRGB mode option is provided in the developer options.
If I toggle it on, go to the previous screen and come back and check, its automatically switched off.
So, I cannot enable sRGB mode at all.
Anyone facing this issue?
Any help appreciated.
I read about this from a note8 user too but nobody seems to care. Happens to me on my s7 too, I'm curious about this toggle but I've never figured out how to make it work. I think it's impossible that really no one ever tried this. Damn samsung nd their software.
I'd be glad too if anyone could help
Yes, I was surprised that nobody had even reported this issue. Looks like nobody wants sRGB
