Hi, guys i look for an answer......i rooted my htc hero, changed rom with last modaco, but when i tried to use some programs it gives me an error concerning root.
For example if i use screenshot program it notices me that i need to be rooted, how is it ossible if i'm already rooted?
Sorry for my english if i made some errors
"rooted" means that you can get root permissions if you want them (like running a program that needs those permission). but for security reasons you don't have this permissions always. so when something want these permissions this dialog shows up and wants your "OK" to give root permissions to this program. thats normal.
There is an app in the menu that is named "root" or something, this is where you set your permission rules, if I remember correctly
Thanx guys.....now the program I needed works.....dunno why yet, but the important is that it works
The new Google Maps update requires new / different permissions. It says it needs 'Default' permission, with the description "read Google service configuration".
Does anyone know what default permission is or where I could find a service configuration to read?
It's probably not all that important, Google knows everything about me already but I want to ~feel like~ I have some control.
I don't see such thing in the permissions list. 4.3.0 uses only one permission more than 4.2.0: android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO.
aha! i got that too and this post is the only thing i can find about it.
i found this permission while redownloading fast web installer. anyone got any ideas?
Guys I'm trying to deny some permission for a particular app using permission manager...to be precise, I'm trying to deny network access to poweramp...
In the settings>apps>poweramp, I see the entire list of permissions...I've attached a screenshot...
But when I open poweramp in permission manager to deny permissions, I don't see the entire list of the permissions...instead I see just a few insignificant ones...check the other screenshot...
So my question is if I've missed something or permission manager really can't access all permissions...? If I want to deny a permission which doesn't show up in permission manager, is there any other way to do it...?
BTW I've already done my research but I couldn't find the answer I needed...but still in case if I've not searched deep enough, I'm sorry for opening a new thread...
Thanks...
AppsOps isn't prefect right now, sometimes the permission don't show up until it gets accessed.
I made some alternative recommendations here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46492088&postcount=5
If you just want to block internet, use AFWall+.

I have been using Omni ROm on my Nexus5 for last two months. The problem i have been facing is since last one month.
When i try to install 3rd party apk files thru file expert , root explorer Im not able to install them but can be done thru lucky patcher.
Other problem is when I use apps which can run only on rooted mobiles and when i start these apps SU prompts msg to Grant or Deny and Im not able to click either of them.
Please provide your suggestions that problem is because of ROm or something else.

Could you provide more details, use RootCheck by Joey Krim to output details about your superuser bin and app, this could be very insightful in this situation.
Hello,
I have problems with permission on Bootleggers ROM. (I switch from yet unstable/unusable Q ROMs)
If I want to apply accessibility permission. It says "Because an app is obscuring a permission request, settings can't verify your response."
How I can fix it? Anyone face it?
Thanks
