Does anyone experience late notifications?
I am using S10+ Snapdragon version.
It seems that there is something that optimizes the background processes. Sometimes, I unlock the phone in order to receive the notifications.
I have made any workarounds mentioned in several websites, like to disable the optimization of certain apps through the battery settings and so on.
Nothing worked though.
Anyone got any suggestions or experiencing the same thing?
Thanks
Everyone gets notifications except me?
nobody ?
It's not just you, it drives me nuts. I have some notifications that will come in immediately if the phone is "open" (on), but it can take up to 10 - 15 minutes if the phone if off. Some notifications are immediate no matter what. I have disabled battery optimization for each app that I want notifications from, but it seems to make no difference...

True, I tried all the suggested solution without luck.
I also installed the "Push Notification Fixer" and "Glimpse Notifications" without any luck.
Do you have "Always On Display" enabled?

I have a number of apps that I give access to Notifications. (Settings > Security > Notification Access). Apps like Google Wear are pretty useless without Notification Access.
For some odd reason all of these apps will lose their check mark and no longer have access to notifications. Makes my Moto 360 a dead weight on my arm. It's not hard to turn notification back on, I just have to go into settings and check mark it. It's that I have no idea that it's turned off until I start missing important notifications on my watch. It's a real pain.
There seems to be no reason for them to become unchecked, they just do. A reboot doesn't cause this. Seems to happen about once a day.
How can I make sure that all of these apps (7 of them) keep their access to notifications?

Thanks for feedback. I thought about it but hoped to find some other solution.
Am also facing the same issue Note 3 (Sm-N900) running Lollipop 5.0. Every after a while, all check marks are removed and only left on GlanceviewMk, i disabled it but it hasn't fixed the problem. Help Please.

I had this too, and it seems to be fixed now.
Just disable (freeze) glance view mk with titanium backup or any other app. And please let me know if it works for you too
Yes it works!
But I don't exactly know what I've disabled...
What it was for?

I thought that it's something related to Ambient display, but it seems that it's working fine, and Quick Glance is not working. Now i'm pretty sure it's Quick Glance

Same problem here
Hello, I have the same problem here with Galaxy Note 3 in Lollipop. Everything keeps getting unchecked in Notification Access. I have an Android Wear watch so it's even more annoying, since I stop receiving notifications on my watch.
Any solution to this that does not involve rooting? I did a hard reset (2, actually) but the problem persists. I have a long trip soon and would like my phone to be as stable as possible since I will be depending on it for guides, GPS, etc.
Thanks!
when i turn on do not disturb the phone still rings ?
called Sammy and they were worthless, anyone get it to work ?
I just tried it, it was silent for me. Do you have the scheduler on?

no, from what i read the scheduler is an option if you only want it on between certain hours, it should
work simply by turning it on. it says it's enabled in the pull down notification menu and there is a ∅
in the upper left corner but it still rings ?
Edit : i turned on the scheduler and it still rings. . . . . . .WTF ?
i'm beginning to think this Note 7 is a POS, so far i'm having bluetooth issues, do not disturb doesn't work,
and smart switch gives an error when trying to back up files. my Note 4 worked(s) perfectly and had zero
issues !
Do Not Disturb works for me. Are you sure that you didn't setup an "exception" to allow your phone to still ring? I just tried it and no phone call came through. The only exception I have setup is for an Alarm to sound.
Once you turn on DND, then tap on the "Do Not Disturb" wording. In this section is where you can setup exceptions or clear them out if something is setup that you did not want. Specifically check out the "Allow exceptions" section.

That's strange, I haven't encountered that problem. Have you done anything to your phone? Did you use a package Disabler app?

You might want to go one-by-one and reinstate items that you disabled with PDP and see if DND works again.

That actually sounds like a good idea. You've had too many issues and even though I've only had this Note 7 for several days, I haven't had any problems. Samsclub has good customer service, don't they? This really is a nice phone!
Dang sorry! Sounds like a bad phone... I don't know what else could cause the issue.
a hard reset fixed the problem
apparently using Smart Switch to migrate all my apps, pics,
contacts, etc. from my Note 4 created some problems.

hi
I have some problem with application notifications... Only notification I get is from gmail and viber.
From all other application I don't get any notifications. In this applications I allowed notifications and in battery manager I put them in protected apps to keep runing after the screen is turned off.
Phone is running Android 6.0 and EMUI 4.1.

what power plan do you use?
It's a known problem with WhatsApp, Telegram and other apps that heavily depend on GCM to deliver push notifications. From what I've heard so far, it looks like the Smart battery profile might be somehow broken. Have you noticed this behaviour with other profiles as well?

Yeah, I tested it too. With Smart profile on, notifications are definitely broken, while I encountered no problem at all with Performance, and often you save only 30 mins of battery life anyway.
Beware, if you restart or turn off/on your P9 Lite, the Smart profile will be automatically enabled. The same thing happens if you use the Optimise function.
Seems pretty silly to me, hopefully they'll fix it.

Hey guys!
I just moved from a rooted LG G4 running Lollipop to the S8 Exynos. It really seems to be a great phone but I'm having issues with WhatsApp.
Sometimes I feel like the messages aren't really coming up in time, I can open the app and see no new message, close the app, open it again and it will reconnect and show me new messages.
It is even more noticeable while using the WhatsApp desktop program on Windows 10. I see a lot of yellow messages saying I'm not connected to the phone OR when I send a messages I see the "clock" instead of the single-double check right away.
My WiFi setting is set to "Always".
I'm not using any battery save option from the phone.
I installed Greenify (not rooted) but WhatsApp is not in the list to hibernate
Any ideas of what is going on? I didn't have this problem on the G4.
have you added whatsapp into the 'unmonitored apps' section in battery settings?
Can you check BBS and see if WA is using crazy amount of sensor usage? Mine is. I had to turn off battery optimization for WA to work.

Sorry, what is BBS?
I've been playing and trying to figure out what is going on. I found out that my phone is running on "optimized" and not in High Performance, Game or Entertainment. Do you guys think this has something to do with it? It shouldn't be this way right? I also have WhatsApp set to ignore any battery save option, according to the app options.
Also, yesterday I turned off my router. I received a message just before turning it off and I saw the notification on the Windows program like I usually do but it took a couple of minutes for the phone to let me know I received a notification, even though the phone had no connection to the internet. lol what?

Thanks! I downloaded the app but I need to do the ADB thing and I left the USB cable at home lol (now I need to buy multiple ones and aren't cheap)
I also noticed that I do receive the visual notifications (like in the notification bar) but the sound and LED notification comes way later.
Anyone solve the sensor issues
I was finally able to solve this problem and decided to put how I did it in case anyone can benefit from it.
I did check that Whatsapp was listed as "Unmonitored apps" in the battery section of device manager, but still had the problem. After further internet research I noticed that people where pointing to the Android's Optimize battery section, which seems that is doing a very similar functionality but is accessed from a completely different place, so make sure Whatsapp is not being "optimized" from here either.
To find this section go to Settings-> Apps -> Click the 3 Dots menu in the top right -> Special access -> Optimize battery usage -> Select "All apps" from the dropdown menu. In here, make sure Whatsapp and any other app that you cannot risk to go to sleep unintended shows as disabled (not being optimized).
Hope this helps someone with this disconnections.
Hi all
I use my share location sometimes on way home from work, but it doesn't work, as soon as I open the app again it starts to work again?
Seems the app has to be open and running and on to be working.
Not an issue on previous phones, is there a way to allow it to remain running? Seems silly to need to have it on?
Try to not optimize the battery usage on WhatsApp. That may solve the issue. I have experienced delay in notifications with WhatsApp, so I removed that optimization. Normally this solves the 90% of the issues with location, notifications or background processes
WhatsApp location permission setting change from only when app is running to always allow?
