Hello,
As the title says, I tried to format/erase the partitions of my Lumia 950 XL in order to be able to flash a .ffu on it. But I receive an error that basically says that my Lumia 950 XL can´t be detected, although being connected via a USB-cable.
Does anybody have an idea what I could try to fix the error?

The latest update for WPRT rebrands the program to Windows Device Recovery Tool. It also now supports many more devices stuck with the BULK or DLOAD mode. Unfortunately, it looks like only devices eligible for the Insider Preview are supported. At work currently but if memory serves, the 930 and Verizon Icon are the oldest devices listed. Fixed my 635 in minutes after months of searching for hex. I recommend using WDRT to repair then when it boots to the Nokia screen download ffu using NaviFirm and flash ffu with Thor as the product package downloads took forever only to fail authentication with WDRT.
My Lumia 630 keep saying "ERROR: Unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shut down". WDRT doesn't help, it says installation successful but after NOKIA screen the phone shows this error again. This happened after I installed Reset Protection cab file with iutool, but it has installed successfully, then I restarted the phone and it showed BitLocker recovery error saying that the key is missing from the TPM. Then I used WDRT and it flashed and after restart this error appeared What can I do now to make my phone live?
Hi all, i own a nokia lumia 520 and im gonna try to install windows 10 on my phone so i installed the stock rom and the next step was to unlock the bootloader so i put in the ffu file currently flashed, put the folder with the loaders and added the SBL3 file to get mass storage mode and when i click continue it says its switching to emergency download mode and i was stupid and exited the program BUT i knew i had to restote the .hex and .bin files so i did that blah blah blah and its still stuck on "switching to emergency download mode" i originally had a nokia lumia 625 and that never happened to me before. Is it meant to take a long time with this certain type of phone?
Im not too sure if this is relevent but i have a samsung eMMC chip which is 7.2 gigabytes
And my nokia lumia 625 had a hynix eMMC chip (dont know how much srorage is on the eMMC)

Hi all,
When i attempt to switch the wifi ON in my Lumia 950 i got this error pop up "Can't do this right now. Try again in little while. If the problem continues, restart your phone and try again."
Has any one knows how to solve this issue?
I have searched in internet but most of them suggest to do hard reset which i did. But the problem still persist.
I did even reflash with WDRT but the problem persist. Do hard reset after flashing also did not solve the problem either.
Background history, i was unlocking bootloader of this phone using windowsphone internal 2.8 and fail. My Lumia 950 then got stuck at flashing mode. After play around with it between WPI and WDRT the battery got drain and the phone unable to recognize correct battery voltage anymore cause my Lumia 950 stuck at reboot loop with Microsoft logo.
Eventually i managed to recover my Lumia 950 using Thor2 commands. The phone is now function normal but still carry the same problem which is wifi can not be turned ON.
Apreciate if anyone here have any suggestion to solution.
Thanks

I am no expert and it's been a loooooooonggg time since I've done anything to my Lumia except use it like a phone, but I think the driver for WIFI is blown. May be you can get one of the devs to send you the drivers for WiFi. Or even better, if you can revert the device to its original state.
I have a plan B for you: Flash Windows 10 ROM with Working WiFi on it.

Tip:
Another suggestion would be to try using Lumia Software Recovery Tool, please have a look at the following page for more information:

Hope this helps.
Hi Whiteqode,
Thank you for replying.
I under impression that once we load the fresh ROM, the mobile phone should be at original state therefore all drivers should have been loaded. Am I mistaken?
If the driver has not being refresh after flashing, how can i load the driver manually? First of all how can i obtain the driver?
Has any one in here knows how to get one?

you are right. the drivers need to be either baked into the OS or need to be flashed BEFORE the ROM is flashed. My sincere apologies as I dont think I am capable of helping you. You can try the link though, the Software Recovery Tool. May be it will flash back the required drivers and you can wait till you have the drivers you need.

Hello all from France. my lumia 950 boot loop after a firmwre update.
Model: RM-1104
Code: 059X5W8
1) try to upgrade with windows device recovery tool. Green screen at the end, no error message, reboot once with logo microsoft and blue windows. Reboot after a certain time and reboot loop with mobile very hot and battery too.
2) i try to reload a firmware with WDRT, phone type: Lumia bootmgr, same issue. With Thor2 FFU or VPL files dowloaded on https://www.lumiafirmware.com/hwid/059X5W8, same issue.
3) many thanks to Kaptaiin.
4) i search on the web but no solution for the moment. I don't want to put my Lumia in a garbage because i am old (65) and i like it.
5) if some one have solution... .
6) Sorry for my 'French' English
i don't like to be old... but Lumia 950 is a good mobile maybe better with android ?!?
