No matter the version of odin no matter the version of twrp..

Try this:
Please Read My Steps Carefully Before doing this because if it is done incorrectly, you will brick your device.
1. Get this odin from this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12bM2H5ocPi9BJB6jN_p7NU_j3t64zdv9?usp=sharing
2. Now on your phone, enable usb debugging in developer options and OEM unlock (if it is there in devoloper options) Then, reboot your device in download mode by holding power button, home button and volume down button (if there is another prompt, press volume up).
3. In Odin in the options section, uncheck "Auto reboot" and check "F. reset time" (if not already). (Very Important Step)
4. Download TWRP from this link : https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxya72016exynos.html
Select "Primary Europe" and then select the latest one which ends with "img.tar"
5. Now press the "AP" button in odin and navigate to the twrp file.
6. Press the start button and wait until you see Pass.
7. Now on your device, hold power button, volume down and home button to get out of download mode. Now immediately as the phone turns off, hold power button, volume up and home button to boot into recovery. (Very Important Step)
8. Congratulations! Your phone now has twrp recovery!

First make sure that the firmware is for your phone, secondly uninstall Samsung Kies.
Reboot your PC
Then install Samsung USB drivers:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347849220
Then run Odin as admin and make sure no security software is interfering, temporarily switching it off might be advised.
Odin v3.10.7:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347851815
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button.
I tried,It didn't worked..but I fixed it by downloading erobot rom and putting it into my sd card and then flash it trough twrp, thank you for the answer and the help tho thread closed ^_^

S4 does not run anymore after flashing TWRP

Hey guys,
i gut some serious problems with my Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505)
I was running Cyanogen Mod 12.1 with CWM Recovery. After trying to update to CM13 and the appropriate Gapps i noticed some problems installing gapps with CWM. After searching the internet i decided to try it with TWRP instead of CWM. So i used the App Rashr Flash Tool to Flash the latest TWRP Recovery.
After flashing TWRP i rebooted the device and got stuck at the Samsung welcome screen. In the right upper corner is displayed the following:
RECOVERY BOOTING. . . .
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit : recovery
Unfortunatelly the phone does not load the recovery or start the OS. The only option i recognized is to enter the download mode by pushing Home + Vol.Down + PWR.
So i tried to use Odin to reinstall TWRP correctly over download mode and this is what Odin puts out.

When i now restart the phone i got following message on the screen:
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again
After installing Kies it says that my device is not supportet...
So no i have no idea what else i can do to get my phone running again...
Does anyone has an idea?
Best Regards and thanks
Did you try flashing the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com?
Maybe use Odin to flash the latest version of TWRP to see if you can enter recovery?
The solution is easy. Use a different usb port / different usb cable.
Well a different USB-Port got me one step further.
It seems that odin flashed the recovery successfully:

After that my phone booted back into my current android / cm OS
Unfortunatelly, if i try to reboot directly into the recovery, i get stuck in the samsung welcome screen again. Means i can not access the recovery...
Use a different recovery thats my advice, i have a same issue as you maybe someone could help me, i open a new thread there also
Try this: unchecked everything except f.reset time in Odin before flashing TWRP, connect phone, flash TWRP, when you see the word "RESET" in the status windows, remove USB cable, remove battery, replace battery, use button combination to boot into recovery. When the phone powers up, let the power button go but keep holding home and volume up.
somehow i fixed it...
i re-re-reflashed twrp and suddenly everything went fine.
Thanks for your help and real quick responses!
great forum!

Tried to flash my phone with an older kernal and now i'm stuck in recovery mode.

Hello the phone I'm using is s5 active at&t.
I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/how-to-root-g870aucu1ang3-gs5-active-t2868776
used this G870A_NE4_Stock_Kernel.tar.md5
But for some reason everything went to the dumps. I then looked up some guides and got a stock firmware from sammobile G870AUCU1ANE4_G870AATT1ANE4_G870AUCU1ANE4_HOME.tar.md5
Odin recognizes the phone as it shows it in the ID:COM area but then it fails.

this is what appears on my phone: sw rev check fail fused 2 binary 1
My first time trying to root. It brings me to the recovery screen with a bunch of options and I'm capable of getting it to the download screen holding volume, home, power.
Please any help would be great.
edit. also tried this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8481Qm0l010 didn't do anything, but it passed on odin
edit. trying this guide out doing note.4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...w-to-update-to-g870aof2-5-0-keeproot-t3161733
edit I went through this process a few times http://www.modifyandroid.com/stock-...ck-rom-for-samsung-galaxy-s5-active-sm-g870a/ and it always fails on odin
This is what the recovery menu looks like
Android system recovery <3e>
Volume up/down to move highlight;
power button to select.
reboot system now
apply update from adb
apply update from external storage
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
reboot to bootloader
power down
view recovery logs
enable cp logging
disable cp logging
My main problem right now is that it fails whenever I try to flash it with a stock rom. But when I flash it with a kernal or other stuff it passes.

SM-G930P bricked after root attempt, stock rom not flashing

So I attempted to root my S7 using this root guide here and followed all the steps here but when i got to step 3 where you flash G930A.TAR odin says the proccess passed but my phone didnt reboot and started bootlooping, and attempting to boot the phone in recovery it just shows "recovery booting" in the corner without recovery actually launching.
After all that i attempted to flash several stock roms from sammobile for my model number to no avail, odin would either lag out on setup connection or fail within seconds of starting, heres an example

also tried smart switch but i dont have my serial number so cant do much there
however i tried to flash the G930A.tar file agan after it bricked and odin says it passed but it still bootloops
thats pretty much where im at now, all my usb drivers are up to date and i tried using both odin 3.12 and prince comsey without any differences
any help would be greately appreciated and if you need more info please let me know
I gonna help you if you've not fixed your phone.
First you need to download your last firmware (In this case for G930P -> QJ3 or QKx, x= 1 or 2, I don't remember the last number)
Download 7Zip and ODIN by Prince Comsey
Then go to this XDA post and download tar-Tool_Odin3-v3.10.7_by_mkh.mourad.zip
1. Install 7Zip
2. Extract files from your firmware (AP, BL, CP, CSC)
3. Right click on AP File (AP_G930PVPU5BXXX........MULTI_CERT_meta.tar.md5) and open with 7Zip
4. Extract the boot.img and recovery.img to Desktop (Make sure it ends with .img extension)
5. Extract the tar-Tool_Odin3.zip to Desktop
6. Copy boot.img and recovery.img to tar-Tool_Odin3 Folder
7. double-click on the "ImgToTar.MD5.bat" file. It should launch the tool for the conversion process.
8. Now you'll have boot.tar.md5 and recovery.tar.md5 in the tar-Tool_Odin3 Folder
9. Put your phone in Download Mode and launch ODIN by Prince Comsey, flash the files (recovery.tar.md5 to BL and boot.tar.md5 to AP)
10. Your phone will reboot so when the screen is turned off, immediately press the key combination again to access the download mode
11. Now you need to flash BL, CP and CSC with your original firmware files (BL_G930PVPU5BXXX........MULTI_CERT.tar.md5, CP_G930PVPU5BXXX.......MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 and CSC_SPT_G930PSPT5BXXX....MULTI_CERT.tar.md5)
12. Phone will reboot again, when the screen off, immediately press the key combination again to access the download mode
13. Now flash AP with original firmware file (AP_G930PVPU5BXXX.....MULTI_CERT_meta.tar.md5)
14. Now your phone will boot. Wipe cache and factory reset through Recovery Mode and now you can use your phone again.
I hope to help with your problem.

This is actually caused by you trying to root 7.0 firmware with a 6.0 root. Merely do the same process with this file.
I had the exact same problem with bootloops. You are following an outdated guide with outdated files!
Below is the tutorial I followed (in case you need it):

I was able to flash the new OS after trying a ton that gave me the binary issue. It rebooted and just went back into a recovery loop and there is no recovery.
I tried to unpack my AP file and grab the boot and recovery images I exported them and converted successfully to .tar.md5 batch tool but they wont flash individually. is it because with the Snap dragon processor you have to flash the whole file at once? The only time i can successfully flash anything is when its the 100% firmware file in the form of HOME_CSCxxxxx in the AP slot in odin. ive tried some unlocked bootloader methods but have not been successful in getting the bootloader unlocked. Can I use an external SD card with a bootable recovery without rooting the device? Its secure boot and Rev check are active.

Hi thank you for your reply!
I've updated my odin to 3.13.1 now.
Altho I cant seem to get the phone in download mode anymore
The error I'm getting now is:
Bootloader exception.
I dont think I'm able to flash it still this way
If anyone have a solution for this I do appreciate it
Bootloader exception, try holding Power + Volume down + Bixty button for a long time 15-30 seconds until you get a light blue download screen.

Thanks for helping Benjamen, I've tried this and the screen went black.
I've seen alot of people have this on galaxy s7 or older devices.
Their solution is to hold home button and then after that powe+ volume down + bixby
this will get them in download modus.
But galaxy s8 doesnt have a home button.
I've tried to flash the pit file using odin this made my phone reboot and it said "Panic kernel download mode"
