It's fake because the iPhone can only detect heat from the fingers. So when he used the card and the pipe, they won't be detected by the iPhone.
That's the beauty with resistive touch screens on WinMo phones.

Theres no "sensing" anything. It's a simple animation - nothing else!
I had a very similar application for my old Diamond, showing an x-ray of a hand.
The illusion was to move the phones camera over a hand, and making your "audience" to believe that the phone was actually able to make x-ray photos... 8)

Interesting. How do you think you can use VB to better this UI? Widgets...the overall layout of the home screens? Specifics kind sir

Looks like he took Google's source and added it to the browser, but it doesn't say anything about animated .gifs in mms's

I use handcent messaging app. It shows all the gifs when people send em...

Oh well i just remember I came from Cricket and a samsung messenger (I didn't need a smartphone back then) and it always looped the gif, and played it in the gallery. I kind of miss that lol.

They work perfectly in the browser. Don't know about just normal gallery..

I know, but there is really no negative effect other than voiding your warranty. Well, at least in my eyes. Cyanogen is a very trustworthy ROM distributor..

Amen. I rooted my g1 but I just don't want to anymore. Plus I feel like I shouldn't have to. Google should take care of us, and I'm sure they will I just wish they'd throw us a bone

I rooted day one.
I will likely never run another rom other then the one from Google.
I played the whole rom game on Windows Mobile and it never made me happy.
I'm not doing it with my beautiful Nexus One

Then you shouldn't expect the updates at the same rate rooted owners get them, you get major updates fast compared to the likes of iPhone OS and Web OSs

guys... cut him some slack for sharing... It's not that the video quality is bad (ok maybe the direction of the movie is bad... First minute of watching I was wondering if it's supposed to make me fall asleep watching the sony ericsson sign, or maybe a ghostly image pops up with a scream so loud, it'd scare the beejeezus outta me)
The movie screen resolution is actually meant to be small, not full screen size of your monitor.
Keep the screen resolution to its original % and you'll see the image just fine =)
But I'm just curious... Is that phone owner a hacker or something?

Can your ask to your friend that made this ROM cooking if he can ensure us that has been able to use multitouch (or dualtouch, it doesn't matter) on the X10 with Android 2.1 ?

It's kinda sad, I find this pre-beta/beta ROM more exciting than the actual GM release. I want a stock update with none of the crap SE adds, all that social web malware. If I want any FB, Twitter or what have you stuff on my phone I'll install it myself.
And yes, I know it can be purged somewhat from a rooted phone but you're still stuck with some residual scraps and removing all the extra stuff is annoying and shouldn't have to be done.
I'd almost be willing to pay a symbolic fee to SE if they would provide two updates instead of one when 2.1 rolls out. One officially supported and one vanilla. The vanilla one wouldn't even have to be supported and could be posted with a gigantic warning saying: "WE WILL NOT SUPPORT THIS, IF IT BREAKS IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT!!". Anything to not have to deal with *scape, FB and all that gear.

Hmm... Then I seriously think you should get another phone. X10 is about timescape and mediascape.
Maybe a Nexus One will suit you better?

As I know,the poster there has said he has one friend working in SONY with one prototype.I don't think it's rarely real.
