OS wiped on its own (black screen, blue LED), tried to unbrick with MSM tool but each different ver. get stuck at different parts (even after special restart and running as admin). Tried to format data but gives me different partitions with no such device/address error. Tried to flash a newer TWRP but when I select recovery partition i get sde22 error. I'm on codework's 3.3.0 and was on open beta 9.0.3/4 don't remember. Problem happened while the screen was off and playing spotify. I can't afford to have my phone bricked because of work and money is tight so can't just buy a new phone right away. If any other info is needed I'll be more than happy to answer. I'm willing to pay anyone who helps me get my phone running ASAP so ANY HELP OR ADVICE IS APPRECIATED.

, go in twrp terminal, and use cat/etc/fstab
if failed to mount ,
create the partitions
with make_ext4fs/dev/block/sda13 (data)
and the rest cache sda3,system sde21
u will see those after first cmd
or use msm tool , in update mode .
if u dont have efs backup dont use the tool in mst mode because its deleting imei so first u must make an efs backup from fastboot or somehow

Sorry for the pm the other thread got closed. As for the 9.0.5 I have tried but it gets stuck at param preprocessing. Yes I am able to boot into twrp but does take around 10-15 mins to boot. Sorry for the multiple threads this is stressing me out because it happened twice already and both times the phone wasn't even in my hands. What ever other info you need I'll be more than happy to answer.

So I need to buy a new phone because none of the unbrick tools work and because it was playing music?
This happened already like last month and I flashed some radio stuff from 5.1.7. then my partitions came up in twrp, flashed 3.3.0 formatted data, and it booted into os then out of no where comes the system freeze because of spotify. Now if I try to flash 3.3.1 I get sde22 error.

no u need to buy a phone because u broke it somehow , and u have no clue how to repair it , because seems the most users here just following guides without any background knowledge and even ignoring part of the guides Wich tells make a backup before u do something.
i really tryd to help u , but i tell u the only service wich is able to get an imei/efs back is oneplus.
IMEI part is the most protected data in every phone.
and u say fstab aint working from recovery read guides and try to communicate with the phone from fastboot or something. except the imei corruption you can repair everything.
and i didnt told buy a new phone, buy 1 with broken display or something and put that board in yours.
If u don't know how to use FBoot the only user friendly tool is MSM but that will erase EFS in smt mode and u will not be able to restore that without a backup.
try to make an efs backup first with fastboot if that works you get a chance.
If u cant backup EFS atm u must find a different way, as msmtool

I've been trying to make backups since I first put a recovery on it but never had enough space on the phone to back up everything.
The terminal part I don't get. I type everything including "/ " ? Also if I type the wrong letter and try to delete I get ^H, is that supposed to happen?
EFS does come up in twrp with 6mb (idk if that's good)
How can I make the backup through fastboot?
Also in fastboot my bootloader and baseband versions are both blank, idk if that helps.
As for the tool, I've tried 5.1.7 and 9.0.5 and many other versions but all get stuck. Unless it's my laptop, the phone, or the tool but they don't want me to fix my phone apparently.

I was VERY stupid. I went back to stock Oxygen OS using a fastboot image and now if I dial #*06# the IMEI box shows up but no IMEI number is actually in the box it is just blank. I did post about this before but last time I didn't really know what happened I was asking if anyone could tell me what they thought happened. I am pretty sure I screwed up the EFS partition and I am just wondering what I need to do now. Is there some way I can repair it I mean I don't have a backup. Can I contact OnePlus support? I really need help.

This happened to me a few times in the past, all I had to do was wipe dalvik and cache again and it came back. Not sure if it's the same issue but I would give it a shot. Just boot into recovery and wipe them again and see if it gets you back up and running.

I cannot use that because my device is not hard bricked and it will not install the driver since I can enter the bootloader normally.
Not sure if you've seen this post its based on the post above but I think it just uses fastboot. Don't know if it will work for you, but figured it would be worth a shot.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62973446&postcount=2
I tried using the tool and it did not work, I purposely hard bricked the device to try it and still no signal or imei. Another problem is WiFi takes about 4 minutes just to turn on but I can live with that I just want service.
Basically flashing back the stock should bring back the efs. Let's see if someone has a solution. Sorry!
EFS files are unique to each phone. If the EFS is corrupt or damaged, and there is no backup, I don't know of any way to fix it ;_; You can try OnePlus support but they aren't as dumb as carrier warranty or other phone manufacturers. They'll be more likely to know what you did.
It is possible to restore your imei number, I did it on my brothers lg g2. It requires some software for PC (I can't remember the name, you'll have to google it) and the box your phone came in with the imei number. It is possible, so don't lose hope!

Right. Upon reboot after hitting start in LGUP, it went to the stock android firmware upgrade screen, said 100% and rebooted . Did a battery pull when the LG logo came up. Put it back in and used recovery button combo (Volume - and Power). Said yes 2 times and it booted to android instead of twrp.

What did you try, there are several threads about it.
You should keep an efs partition backup from twrp in the future.

Tried the same. I was able to recover IMEI, but after a few hours, my phone rebooted itself and boila.. Lost IMEI again, since then, QPST won't work, so right now i'm only with WiFi.
I think that trying to recover an EFS backup and after that, make an IMEI change with QPST to recover your IMEI instead of the IMEI from the backup EFS should do the work, but i'm not able to find any EFS backup for the Mi A1.
How can someone lose their device's IMEI?
In my case a fastboot image did that. I have the same problem that QPST doesn't work anymore. That makes me crazy. Phone just seems to work fine with Oreo, but can't install the QCN file right now.
Hey friend, can you give me your Facebook or WhatsApp so I can get some doubts? This problem in the cell phone is horrible.
I couldn't fix my phone. I have now ordered a new Mi A1 and hope to fix the broken one with some export of the new one.

I've already done this and it does not work, I'll do it again and install a ROM 8.1.10
@Byramklc
1) ROM version 7.8.23 doesn't work in my case anymore. Don't know if it has something to do that I updated to Oreo.
2) With the tool writedualimei the IMEI didn't change. Maybe it worked for you, but not for me. QPST did work, but only once.

Ok guys bare with me. This is my first Thread. So it may look a little different then the others
At least Your honor 7x will no longer be a paper weight
I posted last week that I do Indeed have a good TWRP Honor 7x BND-L24 USA Variant. Since then I have been getting hammered with requests for it. So being the great guy that I am, I have come to the rescue. NO MORE PAPER WEIGHT  I have also included TWRP 3.1.1. You will Find Direct download links below.
I have heard that Huawei will be releasing the firmware by end of next week. Go to play store and download Huawei Firmware
Finder(FF) To keep checking for it. Once there you can download it through Huawei FF.
When I did the backup TWRP gave me error 255 with the data.img but it did still back it up. I have the boot.img, system.img and data.img. data.img (data.img untested but should work)
If it does not I have a post here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=75735265#post75735265 that explains how to use just the boot.img and system.img to recover your phone. IGNORE that it is for the 6x. It does indeed work with the 7x
If your phone is bricked and do not have twrp
1.Turn off phone
2. hold volume down while plugging in usb cable from your pc or laptop. That will put you in fastboot.
Tutorial here https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-root-honor-7x/ on how to download and install ADB tools.
3.. Download TWRP 3.1.1 for honor 7x here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dzP5ie7vQEn_dGfZHI383bt2sFxwtcTb
For people with TWRP installed
1. Download My TWRP backup here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Udc4thELESZ4n_nXYmx6loQtTkjHOqSy
2. Extract the zip file to your ext, sdcard.
3. Boot phone into twrp.(Bricked phones hold volume up and press power to launch twrp assuming it is installed.
4. Select restore in twrp menu then choose sd card then the backup folder.
5. Flash the boot system and data img files
6 Reboot.
NO more paper weight :good:
Oh if anyone has twrp 3.2x that works with this with 7x BND-L24 do share please
Well hope this was not to bad
Hit that thanks button. Yea that one under my post on the right
Hope this has helped
Thank you

Paper weights suck
Didn't work. I got to the "booting now" screen and was stuck there forever. I had to restore my old System and Boot partitions to get back to normal.
Didn't Work for me. goes tot the erecovery page.
Is this the only know method to get back to stock. i tried to uninstalled exposed and somehow eneded up stuck in the erecovery boot loop? very lost any help would be greatly appreciated.
Didn't work, on BND-L34 which is the same model as BND-L24 and it says your device is booting now and never boots.

sad days. do you happen to know of any other alternatives? should i made a backup in TWRP before i rooted and did anything?
This does not work. Restoring data leads to error 255 and restoring just boot and system leads to an unbootable system. Also, the link provided does not help one bit. Can you please try to explain here? Thanks.

As long as you flash the boot.img first it will wok I tested it myself on my wifes and daughters phone and it worked Perfectly. i did not go into detail to do it correctly because there are tutorial's on here that explain how to flash those files

i have an idea, maybe you can make a backup not just including the system, data, and boot but other stuff. Because I accidentally wiped everything, and I changed the vender to a10/tl10, and that bricked the phone even more. And the data img doesn't work. You can fix it with this https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/help/error-255-twrp-t3739468. If someone has a working bnd-l24 or bnd-l34 can you give me everything in the backup?

So you first do that then you do the rest?
Tried again. Getting the 255 error when flashing the Data
Yeah, error 255 is boot looping me too.
does it works well?
Thanks!

You were able to get it to work?
I want to get behind and support this, so much, .But the OP is not registered user, so cant even verify their reputation.
I am late to this device and thread, but my phone will arrive tmw.
I would like to know if this is the only current available restore method for BND-L24?

I'll help u but before we start here is a disclaimer:
DOING THIS WILL CLEAN UP UR PHONE SO DONT BLAME ME WHEN UR DATA IS GONE!
BUT, u can enable google backuping so it will backup MOST of ur stuff, now lets start
download the stock rom from here: http://en.miui.com/download-333.html
and download this tool: http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=at...yYzJhMXwxNTM1NDI2MDE3fDIyNTA2MTkxMTB8ODA3MjUy
decompress the zip even if u dont actually see that anything is inside when u open it from winrar
then reboot ur phone to bootloader mode and start the tool
click on refresh in the tool and u should see ur phone string
then click on browse and take it to this folder
tissot_images_V9.6.4.0.ODHMIFE_20180712.0000.00_8.0_735823083f\tissot_images_V9.6.4.0.ODHMIFE_8.0
matters what u chose it might be just: tissot_images_V9.6.4.0.ODHMIFE_8.0
then in the bottom right make sure its clean all and lock
and then press on flash and wait, i heard someone say they bricked their phone when they flashed using miflash because a power outage happend and the proccess stopped so make sure u dont accidentally unplug ur phone from the pc
when finished the phone will auto restart itself and u should be having stock rom, I hope I helped u
if u have any questions I'll be glad to answer them if I can

I have rooted Mi A1 and using Resurrection Remix OS. I have rooted device with Megisk and also installed TWRP recovery. Now I want to back to stock rom, so how to unroot my device and what I have to take care while doing this (about magisk and twrp). Please suggest me the good video or steps in brief because I don't know much about such things.

How long does this process usually take? I started the flashing process on my mi a1 20 minutes ago and for the last 15 minutes it has just been bootlooping it seems...
EDIT: So in an attempt to restart the fastboot (volume and power button) it seems I have finished the flashing process. (In case someone else has this problem)
Hi All.
Getting this error while flashing.
Please help ASAP.
