Yes, quite normal computer. But I would recommend that you replace the video card, for example with 1060GTX, they are not expensive now. Also, this computer has outdated RAM (DDR3) memory, can it be better to consider something on DDR4?

sure, Plz go on ahead and recommend anything you think is better than this one..although, i dont think itll support ddr4 now would it. i have to buy the comp for my younger brother and this is the budget i've got: 45k INR or 645 USD.
Anything good under this budget will do.
Thanks though.
I'm using Windows 10 and mine is Deel. I recommend to use it for games.

Hey all. I'm really new to HTC and PCC. I had a Nokia 6682 and new how to tweak it and everything. I'm lost with my Wizard though. Do I install programs and stuff just like a regular computer? What tweaks do you guys recommend I perform? I only use the phone for watching videos, listening to music, taking pics and video and of course talking on the phone. I have a PQI 2gb memory card and I just found out that I should've gotten a SanDisk instead. I read the WIKI, but I'm still kinda lost. Somebody teach the young grasshopper!!!!
PQY, SanDisk, Kingston ... - ... believe me: all of those cards are produced in one and the same factory in China!
About what you should do with your WIZ200: this question you should have asked yourself before buying it! It is a PDA, an organizer, a mobile computer which lets you do stuff on the go while away from your desk - and it has for sure its limits!
The Wizard is not the ideal device for watching videos! A little bit research before buying would have told you that! All through it is possible to watch videos; if it is 'enjoyable' is another question ...
Music:
yes, it plays! But already my SE K800i has a much better sound than the WIZ!
There are some cool games out there for PDA's which really run excellent on the WIZ! You can take a closer look at www.handango.com for that! They have also trial versions available for download!
Tweaks:
Some of them are nice but many produce even some issues on your device! So, be carefully by tweaking your WIZ and always ask yourself if that particular TWEAK is really necessary or of you could even live without that!
Am I able to have pictures and ringtones for certain callers and all that? I fell in love with the touchscreen stuff man. I couldn't help it. Plus I only paid $60 through cingular. I have 30 days to return it. Do you know of any phones that might be of interest and usefulness to me?

Ringtones and pictures for callers is no problem! Just check your contacts list in the phone and you will see it offers much more than nokia's symbian would ever be capable of!
About your second question: I have absolutely no clue what phones would be of interest for you! You might wanna figure that out by yourself? www.gsmarena.com
You da man! One last question though. Is there any way I can put P/W protection on my pictures and videos?

I am sure there is a way with 3rd party software. Maybe some real good FILE EXPLORERS are capable of that!
I just wonder why you need to put a password protection on your pic's? Do you rent your phone or give it to somebody from time to time? Then a better solution would be to work with 2 MiniSD cards: put your personal stuff on one SD and the public stuff on another one ...
SOme things i feel that are needed for new wizards.

^^^ that page lots of good stuff.
But the first thing thatmakes installing programs a breeze. is Cabviaacticesync
What it is. when you download the cab file(program) you want. you right click the cab file with your mouse. and there will be a new menu called cabviaacticesync. click that then folow the steps.
http://www.modaco.com/CABviaActiveSync-FREE-Edition-now-availableand33-t243034.html
Also Omapclock and Omapclock plus. you can download those sepratley. or you can download something called batterystaus that has ompa built in. really nice program. All free. dont overclock over 260. i leave mine at 240.
thats all i have for now.
skype me if you want help. toodeep2360
ALso put all your programs on your sd card. will let your wizard run faster. the only downside. is prgrams will start slower.
Thanks for all of your help. I'm gonna go through all these threads over the weekend. I just really gotta find a P/W program.
You better be carefully with OMAPCLOCK and BATTERYSTATUS! It does not really do any good and lots of people had problems with that! Just search this forum or others online!

I think you would be in a minority there Junner2003 - the majority of people on the forum with omap devices overclock their devices and have no problem - it certainly makes the device alot more responsive.
It makes skype useable, videos smooth etc...
It is very rare to cause any damage through overclocking and most stick around 240mhz.
I find the device fine for watching a movie
Even if I am in the minority - still sticking to my opinion!
I am glad so many people have no issues with it! Research in the web tells me another story! How ever, every1 makes his own choices - and I always try to keep my stuff as original as possible! Others like do change every single bit and byte - multiculti!
Have it your way!

Wrong. Between my 2 8125s and my brothers 2 8125s. overclocked to 240-273 we have no problems running them for a year now.
Yes there has been a few people who thought it was ok to overclock over 260.
and everyone has said not to overclock over 240-260.

I partially agree, I hate the slow stock roms (I think Junner2003 is on one(?)). But i used to use batterystatus and even clocked to 312 permanently for a while. The last version I tried froze my device and my current rom is quicker than anything else anyway.
Running the official German T-Mobile AKU3.3 Rom - performance is quite good - sure: videos are not enjoyable with the 195MHz but it is enough for everything else I do: some office work, internet, email, database, writing some software (and compile it later on a desktop) ... and a bit gaming!
1. Whats the main difference between android tv box and android tv stick (like the MK809). Is one better than the other? I see the 'box' seems to be more expensive?
2. Are MK802 and MK808 made by the same company? (Ie: is MK809 the successor of MK802). I find it very confusiong when people mention MK802-II, then I read somewhere that mentioned MK802-III, it kindda confuses me.
3. Does MK809 support XBMC? I would like to watch international channels on the box/stick.
4. I was looking to buy one locally, and I checked craigslist. He mentioned about how he can help me 'jailbreak' and put crazy apps on it. I am confused with the term 'jailbreak'? Arent these stick 'jailbroken' to begin with at the first place? I thought these box/stick arent official products made by big companies anyways.. so it should be able to support all apps without trouble?
5. Whats the best remote/keyword/mice to use with the MK808 or MK809? I see some recommended the Measy R11 while some use the Measy R12. Which one would you guys recommend?
Please help. I am getting very excited about these devices. I dont want to be stuck with a 'dumb-TV'.
Thanks a million.

No prob men...
1. No, the one is not better than the other, but I would recommend the TV stick.
2. Yes the MK809 is the successor of the MK802(same company)
3. Yes it does.
4. Jailbroken is not the right therm for this, it's called "rooting", these sticks doesn't come pre-rooted, but there is an app called Aptoide which gives u the optionto download all the crazy apps U want! (for free) (just download in the Play store) DONT EVER PAY FOR THIS!
If u want more information, just mail me!
5. I would recommend the FlyMouse RC12
Succes with this!

Thanks for answering my questions.
1. So why do people bother buying the 'box' if its more expensive and bulky?
2. Great.
3. Great What does XBMC really do anyways? Is it hard to get that setup on the stick?
4. Do I need to 'root' my stick in order to use Aptoide?
5. oo nice, I see it has a touchpad too. So its basically the same thing but WITH touchpad right?
Another question here: Why do some people flash their ROM/firmware? Does it give the stick more features or ability or something? Thanks

Root is just admin privileges like on a PC. You can pretty much run every app without Root(admin) access but some programs like BackUp apps that need admin access to save certain files... or editing system files.
You don't need to root for 98% of the stuff. Flashing firmwares/roms bring fixes, new features, updates, new stuff, etc... also optimize the system so it is more stable and faster. My MK808 tests at ~6000 normal and ~11000 with a custom Rom. Big difference.

Thanks again. Would you recommend buying the MK808 or MK809II now? I know going for the successor MK809II seems to be an ideal option, but I also see that MK808 is more popular and seem to get a lot of support. Whats your suggestion on this?
What are some good custom firmware/roms I should be looking into, if I plan to flash my device as well? Will it 'brick' my device easily?
So, what is the difference between the standard Shield TV with 16G, and the "Pro" version with a 500G HDD? Just the extra 500G storage? If so, is it simple to add an SSD to the 16G model, and get a better deal than the Pro version that way?
PS: for Black Fridays, the 16G version is dropping to 149.99$ with the remote included, so why is the point of the 500G version?
Just the storage difference. Most buy the 16GB and get a SD card.
It is not possible to add an SSD to the pro model without soldering. It doesn't have the headers. To be honest the pro feels like less and less of good idea as time goes on -- I've been regretting that I bought that version. If you want to store a very large amount of apps or media it can be useful but it really doesn't have any way to justify the price.

Nothing you've said there requires root, unless you have another reason to root?
Depending on the drive, the HDD may need a powered hub. My FireTV did.
From what I've read apps can be moved to MicroSD but not USB.
Torrenting movies makes you a -edit- bad person

You are very quick to point a finger, aren't you? I always find 'your' type of people to be the ones hiding the ugliest stones =].
Ok, let's say I need to torrent movies, but never specified that the movies I need are home made movies shot in my country, where the internet speeds are very slow, and torrenting my family's movies are the fastest, most stable way of getting them.
My reasons to root are the same that you signed up in this forum for, in the first place (see what I did there?).

Thanks for your help, I decided to go with the 16G model, and open it up for modding/destroying it. In theory, soldering is easy, but I'll be scared if there's anything related to software mods :s. I read somewhere that someone was able to mount one of those flash hybrids though.
Got mine on UK launch after years of HTC phones.
So far I love it, very quick phone, the display is fantastic.
Plenty to explore for me and will be having a good play around...
I was thinking of picking one up. How are you finding the camera and overall performance?
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Overall performance is really good. The phone is fast.Everyone was saying "its not flagship specs" but you can't tell at all. Its as fast, if not faster than my M9.
The camera I haven't got to test fully but a few test shots looked really good. I believe the trick is to use the 8mp mode but will post some pics when I take some more this week.

Have you tried any games yet? I do play some games on my phone (nothing graphic intensive, just quick casual games). I think I read somewhere that gaming performance wasn't great (this may be just for more graphic intensive gaming). If I can be cheeky and ask you to try 'basket fall' for me to see if that runs fine (it's the game I'm hooked on at the moment) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kumobius.android.basketfall&hl=en_GB thank you

Check for the official price for it in Germany, then you will know. Different countries have different pricing polices, some countries you will have to pay full prices, whiles others you can get them free or reduced price with a carrier plan.

Yaa but it will need a high end CPU and Ram too support those OS'es..
Damn small linux can support a P1 PII processor which is only a 300dx - 900mhz processor which supports maybe up to 4mb - 1gig ram. Thats not really high end.
Its not gonna be a super pc.
Im sure something in the gingerbread can be modded to work on it.
