widevine l1 with unlocked bootloader?? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

As the question implies, what happens with widevine l1 if you unlock your bootloader?? My new redmi note 7 is global and has widevine l1 want to know to see if I unlock or not

it becomes L3 for sure

It becomes L3. I reflashed the official miui rom without relocking and it's L1 again.

I did, it is L3.

Thx
I think I'm just going to flash the official updated miui rom, my redmi comes with carrier software and it's lagging behind in updates.

I have the global variant (the PFGMIXM one) with unlocked bootloader and I still have L1 certification. Rooted with Magisk too.

Then you will have to query your ROM Dev / ask in the custom ROM group. Stock ROM supports L1

What can I say ? It still supports L1 for me on stock rooted ROM (Pie). Although I am not sure to what extent you have modified it. Do you pass CTS profile and Basic Integrity check ?

Upgrade to v056 and check. Also please check whether your device shows certified in Google Play-Settings-Play Protection Certification.

No, I don't think so
Be careful
IIRC, There's anti-rollback protection on Redmi Note 7, which means if you go to the previous version, your device might be bricked.

Widevine L1 on stock

I was playing with Mi 9T custom ROMs (LineageOS, Xiaomi.eu; Russian TWRP) and kept getting a notification saying my persist parition is corrupted.
I flashed persist.img from the official EEA 10.3.12 fastboot ROM And everything seemed to be OK. But even after flashing to stock and relocking the bootloader, the Widevine certification is only at L3.
As I understand it, the persist partition included some keys used to decrypt L1 DRM content. Is there really no way to get L1 back? Even with Magisk?
You can install this Magisk package => https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-9t/themes/magisk-widevine-l1-fix-xiaomi-eu-roms-t3962506

did you find any fix.?
No I didn't. I even contacted Xiaomi support team for help and was told that MI 9T is not L1 certified anyway so they cannot do anything.

Bricked device need help

So my mi 9t is not bricked, I was running the latest EU version of miui 11 when I tried to lock the bootloader. I now have the error your system has been destroyed? But due to antiroll back protection I can't flash any of the current .tar files available for miflash tools. Is there anyway around this or will I have to wait till a miui 11 version of the flash tool images are released? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
