I have never done this myself. Doesn't seems to be easy.
Here's the guide
http://www.myfixguide.com/manual/leeco-le-pro-3-teardown/
I would not attempt it... If I were you I would just buy a new phone. But that is me See:

With the battery needing replacing the phone is almost a paper weight anyway So you might as well go ahead and try to fix it yourself.
It will only cost you the price of a battery? Plus a little time. You have lost hardly anything if it never works again
Got mine from www.aliexpress.com/item/32892123537.html and received an original LeEco battery albeit with 2016 date code. Battery worked well so far. It's not easy to replace the battery because it's is attached really well to the back of the phone on the left side. Managed to remove it without having it blow up on me but damaged the screen in the process.

It takes a little time and patience that's all These two links helped me out lots.

My Nexus 10 has strange "swelling" under the plastic back (above the letter "E"). It looks like something lifts that part of the back. I can feel it under my fingers. And because of that Nexus 10 plastic back is not aligned with the removable part of the cover.
What might that be? What is located in that part of the back? Unfortunately, I do not have the tools necessary to remove the cover.
I'm going to guess your Lithium battery is going bad and puffing up. I'd recommended turning it off and not charging your device till you can get the back cover off and inspect it. They can exoplode.

Are you sure? I have this tablet for a week. It was like that since the beginning.
I know someone who could disasamble the device. But I have no idea if he will be able to asamble it. Does it require some special tools (heating etc.)?

I'm not sure, but I'd definitely see what's going on with it before I continue to charge it. Could be a defective battery from the factory. Could be it just wasn't assembled properly. If you've only had it a week I'd exhange it.

Well, it was not the battery. The plastic back of my Nexus 10 was not properly assembled with the display. It was necessary to take it off and... assemble again. That's all. It's fixed now. :good:
How on earth this device could pass any quality check before leaving the factory is a mystery to me.

I'm lucky that in my town I found someone who was brave enough to dismantle this device. (BTW, he needed 30 minutes to "fix" this).
Otherwise I would have to... well, I certainly would not try to send it back to Samsung in America and wait several weeks to receive the same device with (probably) more issues.
I bought a friend of mine a LG G2 and within a couple weeks she managed to have it take a drink. The horror on my face was, well, horrifying when i was told. Anyways about the phone.........
She knew to immediately put the phone in rice which she did.a few days later i get the phone into my hands, moment of truth right? First thing i did was to take it apart and see if there's any corrosion on the board or any leftover residue which i found none. reassembled the device and plugged it in for........well i dont know why, i just did. I read online if the phone shuts off immediately after contact with water your chances are good. Anyways the phone showed signs of life. It began booting up past the LG logo to the boot animation of "Desolation ROM" where it freezes and than loops freezing at different times of the boot logo.
Download mode works so i decided to flash the KDZ 20C. The phone boots up entirely into the OS and works with few *issues. Two things i have problems with, the internal storage doesnt appear** on the computer regularly, and i must "adb reboot recovery" a few times before it successfully will boot into recovery. but i can manage with that. I rooted it through sideload, installed autoRec and got TWRP flashed and working. I did flash the new TWRP so that it mounts the storage to computer. anyways so i went to flash the rom, Desolation, Resurrection Remix, and Bliss pop with the same issues. ive dont everything multiple times already to no avail.
Ideas? anyone?
*issues: it thinks the headphone are plugged it and rapidly cycles the animation.
** it varies from one flash of the KDZ to the other i can "adb Push file /sdcard/"
Solution: buy her an old Nokia
Buy a new logic board.
Sounds like this one is toast

what i dont get it why can i still get the OS working if i flash the KDZ??? or is this the type of weirdness that comes with a water damaged device?

From my experience over the years water damage is a 50/50 shot.
On one hand you get a 100% recovered device with minor repair...i.e replace battery and or LCD and you're good to go.
On another hand you have weird malfunctions i.e headphone jack saying its plugged in when its not....dead wifi, dead vibrate, no data connection...the list can go on and on...
When this happens, unless you're skilled to replace the ICs on the logic board with some skillful soldering, I'd pass and either sell or use the phone for parts.
Start fresh with another used G2....maybe one with a broken screen you can get cheap and swap parts over to your phone.
Oh yeah...have your friend buy herself an S6 Active...

Have seen a few logic boards in ebay sell cheap the last 2 weeks. You may get lucky and replace the board with a newer/better condition one and fix your problem entirely.
I'd recommend buying a new battery too

How does the screen look?
I'd inspect the LCD and light box underneath to be safe as well.
If both look like new you're safe there.
Basically:
New logic board
New battery
New screen (if necessary )and youre good to go

Hey everyone,
I bought a nexus 6p last week refurbished. Pretty much I was expecting the famous battery failure and did get it on my nexus around 30% - 20%. So I bought a new battery yesterday it comes tomorrow and will give it in to a phone shop to get it done by a technician , I need a straight answer does it fix the problem permanently and will it boost battery life. I know there has been MANY MANY MANY topics about it but I just need a straight answer.
Thanks
Yes, I replaced mine myself. I went from 1 hour SOT, dying at 70%, to 6-7+ hours dying at 0%.
The issue wont be fixed permanently though, you're just mitigating the problem
I did the same on two Nexus 6Ps, totally worth the effort.
YES!
Alright! Thanks guys I got my battery today and im gonna hand it in to a phone shop and get it done! I'll keep you updated on it.
Well! That replacement was totally worth it! Before I had i replaced, I'd wake up at like 9am with 100% battery then around 12pm it would be on 67% and pretty much die at 30 or 20%.
Since i got it replaced I have noticed a overhaul of improvements with my battery especially with the Franco kernel my battery life has doubled by an insane amount. I can actually go out and come back with like 50% without rapid draining. I am genuinely happy with that replacement. It feels great.
Thanks who said it was worth changing the battery. If you're planning to swap it. Do it! It's worth your time.
What battery did you guys get?

Hey lil_ith,
I got my battery from Ebay which provided me tools and the battery all for £12.95. I went to go check if the product is still in stock but it seems that the seller has removed the item off ebay I'll be more than happy to provide you to a genuine battery.
Not sure where about you live, but I live in the UK so I can only provide the UK products. Sorry about that.

Hey thanks for the reply!! All good and looks good I believe. Only issue with those batteries is there's no Temp sensor I believe. Can you confirm?
Yes , i replaced my battery last month , and it works . My SOT has increased from an hour to 6-7 hours.

Err I'm not too sure about the temperature sensor on this battery. This product that I linked is not the one I bought, the one I bought the seller has took down the item for some reason. What i can do for you I can contact the seller from the one I linked you if it has a temperature sensor on it. If not then I'll let you know! :good:

I personally have a mixed feeling. I replaced my battery a little while ago, and it was working great for months, but now the battery began draining like crazy. I read somewhere that there was a defect on the motherboard itself and that battery replacement would only be a temporarily fix as the main defect would eventually bring the issue back. I'm thinking to move on at this point as I don't want to keep replacing battery.

Read up on threads about batteries in this forum. That's how I found it. You'll also see that many people reporting back with the same issue no matter what battery tried. Some of us have been at this for a long time.

I have been. I've been researching the hell out of it tbh and most of the time that's mentioned it's because it's a low quality battery. Since it lasts a couple of weeks - 2 months and then back to square one. That's due to bad batteries.
Had the battery swapped a few days ago and its worth it. Before the swap i would get like 1 hour SoT at best and my phone would sit at around 30% when i got home from work with the phone completely drained at around 7-8 pm. Now i get more then double the SoT even with heavy use and has enough charge left when i got to bed ( around 30% ).

I visited a local shop near were I used to live for my gfs nexus and it's going 6months with no issues or degration, shut down or otherwise. I no longer live there or I would go back to repair my phone at the same location. Hopefully in a couple of months I can. I will report to you guys, I have not been able to find a legitimate battery to do it myself or a local shop at my current location. I know BLOD is an issue but that is not related to battery. I guess people could have faulty motherboards but not all of us do. But I'm not denying or agreeing with you because there's lots of people who bought batteries of poor quality and lasted about a month before going back to what they delt with before. I'm not to sure of this conversation is going but I hope you can fix your battery soon. Nexus besides its issues is still an amazing device and I hope I can keep it running for a couple more years.
Replaced battery a month ago, been working like a champ since lasting me most of the day with heavy use. Then for some reason yesterday, it decided to start running hot all the time and killing the battery faster than before I replaced it. Neither the system battery stats nor Accubattery are showing me anything helpful.
Hi there. This happened to me last night, now I have an orange-reddish light on constantly, the light is to the left of the camera eye in the front. I am now assuming the battery died. Can you please direct me to where I can buy a replacement battery and possibly a link on how to open the phone. Grateful for any help.

For the phone disassembly, watch this: Essential Phone Teardown (fixez.com). DO NOT use the teardown video from ifixit.com, unless you want to completely destroy your phone. I would suggest using a plastic spudger instead of a playing card, and you can use a suction cup to assist with lifting the screen. Also see my post about the screen replacement for some hints and details.
Where to get the battery would depend on your geography, I guess. If I needed it, I'd go with Amazon, for example here or here.
Good luck with your repair!
Hi all , I wonder if anyone can help me here with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
If I allow the battery to completely drain (by leaving it turned off and not using it) and then I plug the charger in, the screen is obviously faulty because it flickers, Samsung logo is ghosting, screen is all green or white etc.
But after this load sequence it is then followed by a completely black screen and responds to nothing not even connecting to a PC.
I can only get the screen to light up again as above if the battery is completely drained and it is then plugged into the charger.
I was originally aware the screen was faulty but now it seems to have a problem booting up - so my question is, would the forum agree that the motherboard is likely toast and then in that case, is it worth the repair (either by myself or shop).
If it is not worth the repair, is it possible to access the files to extract personal info/photos/videos etc?
Any help or advice greatly appreciated, thanking you in advance
Is the battery known good?
Lol, maybe you left it sit too long...
It takes a fair amount of current to boot.
Without boot the only hope of data recovery is a data recovery service.
Hi, yes I replaced the battery as that was my first thought. But it was just the same after that.
I just don't want to fit a LCD screen and find out its knackered anyway lol

I guess throw a LCD at it as they are cheap.
May not be the mobo. It's a crap shoot...
Unfortunately the edge screens are still around £100. I could keep my eye out for a cheap second hand one that at least has a working screen I guess.

Probably better if you bought a working phone if you like it a lot; a parts queen comes in handy.
A used N10+ be a lot faster but is better if it was loaded with 9 or 10 rather than 11 or higher. These phones can be very long lived and they can be had at a reasonable cost now.
Yah, I guess
