Hi,
I have a problem with notifications on Xiaomi Mi A1. It belongs to my family member, I think I've done all basic stuff to get it to work and still it is not working properly...
Problem occures with notifications from Mi Home app.
How whole "system" looks like this:
1. On iPhone XS I have Mi Home app (newes 4.17.2), on Mi Home added devices like Robot vacuum, Mi Gateway, Camera 360, 2 x Door Sensor, 2x Motion sensor - on Mi Home account number 1.
2. On Nvidia Shield K1 (stock Nvidia rom up to date) I have Mi Home app (newest v.5.5.25) - on Mi Home account 1.
3. On OnePlus 5T (stock Oxygen OS up to date) I have Mi Home app (newest v.5.5.25) - on Mi Home account 2.
4. On Xiaomi Mi A1 (stock Google rom up to date) I have Mi Home app (newest v.5.5.25) - on Mi Home account 3.
I'm sharing devices between accounts, so in Mi Home app on all devices I can see all sensors, so:
1. Account 1 sharing to account 2.
2. Account 1 sharing to account 3.
3. All accounts are logged in the same region with the same date&time.
iPhone, Shield K1, Oneplus 5T get's all notifications normally as they should.
Mi A1 gets 2-3 first notifications and remain silent after launching Mi Home app...
What I have tried:
1. Turning off battery optymalization for Mi Home app.
2. Granting all notification's permissions for Mi Home app.
3. Clear data for Mi Home app.
4. Logout and login again on Mi Home App.
5. Full phone wipe.
6. Checked account 3 on other device (Nvidia Shield K1) - notifications are working correctly so shareing settings are good and account is configured correctly.
7. Checked on Wi-Fi and Cellular
What I'm missing? Looks like Mi A1 software bug. Any advice on solution for this situation?
Maybe find a Mi Home forum? Without knowing how this works, difficult to say if the issue is with the phone or the Mi Home setup...
If you had several apps on Mi A1 with same symptoms, then this forum would be relevant, but in that case investigate the Mi Home part first (at least it's my point of view).
I see your point, but the same version of app is working correctly on other devices (on Android Pie and Nougat) with the same settings with the same account, so I think that it's phone related problem. I Do not have another Mi A1 device to check if I can reproduce this situation...
And Mi Home forums there are several in web, all informations that I found is that the problem occured on all devices with older app version, not with this one.
Maybe someone here will be able to reproduce this?

Hi, i just got this smartwatch (NO.1 G5) and almost every function works well with my phone, except notifications section into the watch. I can make and receive calls/sms with no problem, view contacts and call logs...but i can't receive notifications from apps (like messenger, whatsapp or instagram). I tried with fundo wear, fundo smartdevices and mediatek smartdevices, but no way to send an app notification to watch, even with the "notification test" of the mediatek smartdevice app..."notifier" section is allways clear, empty. Any idea why could be?
I'm using it in a Moto X 2013 with stock rom 5.1, and got the acces to notifications permission, this is my first smartwatch, i feel like i'm missing something in pairing or config Thank you.
Your solution is the App M2D Sender\Receiver

Hi negriton,
If we have a K88h bluetooth watch, we cannot install the M2D app in the watch. Will it work if we just install the app on phone. ?
I am facing the same issue with motorola phone.
Hello guys I have some problems when I use my xiaomi mi band 2 on my Mate 9 Pro china edition
Frequently xiaomi mi fit app lost the access to notifications. I must go into the settings and disable and re-enable access to notifications.
Does anyone have the same problem??
Thanks in advance!
hello i have the same setup you do. You have to go to battery and protected apps.
mifit must be protected then that will solve your problem good luck. same applies if you like to use greenify itm must be protected or huawei will take it as a threat
Seems to be no "protected apps" settings on EMUI 5. Is it called something else? Located somewhere else?
Hi there,
I'm a happy owner of Mi 9T global variant and there's something bothering me since the MIUI 10. It's AOD, since the beginning of using it I struggle with getting notifications on it, only calls and messages seem to be working fine on it. Other notifications such as ones from snapchat, instagram and so on aren't working and being displayed on my screen. I just updated today to MIUI stable: 11.0.20 based on android 9. I got all those new fancy ways of displaying notifications but why do I need them when only couple of apps seem to be working properly with it ? Is there any way to fix that, are u also experiencing similar problems ? Kindest regards Con

Which apps? MIUI or Play?
For play you go to play store, three lines, settings, auto update apps
For MIUI go to settings, system apps updater, cog icon, auto updates

So it's not possible. Give "us" some screenshots.
What? Never seen it - if you choose to not update auto it won't. Maybe you have chosen to update over mobile data I stead of turning it off?
Problem solved. Turned off updates in play store

Didn't you state that you have turned off auto update in play store and it was still updating?
i turned off the auto update on playstore and also in the system apps.. but its still auto update some apps like chrome, facebook and some others.
this happens only when i connect to wifi..
Iam using Miui 11 on redmi note 7
I've noticed over the last few devices when using custom roms ( certain ones ) the ROM can work perfectly fast & fluid but with my xiaomi mi mix 3 and mi 9t and my op 6t that when going into the Facebook market place once you click on a item to look at it and you go to continue to look at other stuff it'll lag like crazy ( like a brick tied to it when scrolling ) ik it must be a combination of ROM and the FB app. Anybody else notice this I've tried everything to fix or figure it out to only fail. I've uninstalled the app I've cleared storage and cache done everything. Any ideas out there.
