Hello,
i bought 2 leeco the pro 3 X720 2 months ago for my son and me
I unlocked the bootloader
then I installed TWRP
then I tried lots of rom (lineagos aosip EUI (grossoshop) etc ...
I have never reached more than 6 hours of screen use with a full charge on both phones
But on specialized sites we talk about 10 or 11 hours of use videos
I do not understand why a smartphone with a battery of 4070 mah does not take more than 6 hours
Thank you for answering me
PS; I constantly put the brightness to a minimum and I cut the 4 g the sync the location etc to try to hold more than 6 hours but nothing makes it
There are lots of factors that could be affecting it, from hardware to software. Likely software. You may want to use an app like Kernel Adiutor to optimize the phone's settings, but be very careful as you could brick the phone by accident.
What you need is probably a custom kernel.
Hello,
thank you for your reply
what is a custom kernel?
how do you flash?
when we flash a rom, we do not flash the kernel with?
Can you tell me more

Redmi Note 2 Is good mobile with low price ??? Everthing from Good to Excellent Except battery bad Why ?????????
After Several Trials For Days I Found The Main Cause
1 - Bad Calibrated Battery Or Bad Battery Sensor
Solution : Leave the Mobile connected to the charger one or two hours after complete charge
2 - Miui rom not optimized
Solution : Update to miui 8 or better use custom rom like aurora rom or any cm based rom
now from 1.5 SOT to more than 5 SOT !!!
Hasn't worked for me... I keep the ROM updated with xiaomi.eu's developer version, and always leave the phone charging during night, still only 2.5 to 3 hours sot.
the same with me. The new Thread in the Miui Forum let me hope, that theey will fix this problem. I buyed too a Redmi Note 3 Battery and will try, to hack it, that I can use it in RN 2

Yes, but for that is necessary that people post their data!
So please, do your part of the job.

Pay attention while playing with batteries!
to my opinion it depends most of the rom... i use rom builder from http://mi-globe.com/ and its working good:good:
Install govtuner from xda, ir works
If you stick a small quartz crystal to the back of your phone, centered on the battery. it will resonate in harmony with the battery and the available energy will magnified 10 fold.
If you still need more, install at least 3 battery saver apps to get around 10hrs SOT.:laugh::laugh:
More Details
I use :-
Auroa Rom
Brightness 10-15% most of the time
Disabled all startup programs except whatsup and truecaller (no face , no twitter .....etc)
no gps no bluetooth
if wifi on ... mobile data is off and vice versa
first sim is 2g and shift it to 3g when mobile data is needed
----------------
After all that
zero battery loss during standby (125 Hours Standby)
5 hours SOT (Browsing and whatsup no games)
ScreenShot Of battery !!! Amazing !!!
Is it a joke? This is an English forum. From those squiggles can not read anything.
Does that language date back to the stone age?
Hello Guys ! After reading up about the issues with the Nougat Official updates i wanted to give custom roms a chance.
However , the experience with Custom ROMS over the years have made me realise , Battery backup is never the same on a custom ROM compared to the Stock firmware.
Can people who tried out different ROMS and Kernels , suggest which rom or ROM+Custom Kernel combination gives Stock like Battery performance ??
Eagerly waiting for you replies so that i can get flashing..
Thanks in Advance
Your help is much appreciated
In every Nougat custom ROM battery is almost the same as stock. You have simply to choose the best for you.
I personally have AospExtended with Optimus r21 and I'm happy with it

Any specific Governor settings in the Optimus R21 kernel ??
And do you use dual sims in 4G ?
Any other Misc Settigns you do ?
What about the Standby time and SOT that you generally get ??
Thanks in advance BRO
I prefer "sis" eheh
Anyway, my kernel settings: BIG cluster max freq set to 1.6Ghz instead of 1.7 (I don't need any overclock), min freq to 345Mhz and Little cluster max to 1.1Ghz and min to 499Mhz, both clusters on Optimus governor. I left the other settings to r21 original.
I have a european single-SIM device, so no...
For the rest, all il stock, I haven't any battery friendly script, I believe in my Moto X Play, I don't want to mutilate it.
In Wi-Fi I reach 8h of SOT, I can stand 2 days without charge it in normal use. In LTE mode, almost 5-6 hours if I go out with a normal use, I can't tell you with a heavy use... when I'm out I don't use the phone so much also I have a tedious mobile radio active bug (that seem affect only me and maybe a couple of other users, I'm investigating) so previously in LTE I reached also 6-6.30h of SOT

I am thinking to try out teh kernel on the stock rom first with some tweaks and then switch to custom ROMs if the results are not satisfactory

I am on Aosp extended since it's version 3.3
Right now, I'm on version 4.3
No custom kernel.
If SOT is what you want to know, for me it's between 4 to 5 hours.
Dual sim with one on 4g and second on 2g.
Data remains on whole day.
Extermely stable. Just like stock MM.
If you don't want to use root or themes, maybe it will be more stable for you.

I'm on Resurrection Remix (Official) and has some little bugs in the movements on locked screen (camera and led torch don't work as expected). Another thing is if u open camera by lock screen can't close it (navbar is blocked), the way is re lock the phone and then get to the pattern screen again.
The SOT is about 3-4h on 70% time in WiFi and 30% mobile data (4G/LTE)
About battery in general there is some screen shots: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B_XlbO-BACx0bmRHc0R1dDcyQ3M
I will change my ROM because the dev (GtrCraft) discontinued the RR (see his message on the post)... So I think it's hour to test another.

Thanks a ton K.Khiladi.. those stats are impressive ... I would try this rom for sure..
My usage is mostly erratic... I am in office fro almost 7-8 hours when the phone just lies dead in pocket and when office is over i use phone services like location data and what not .. So basically i needed a ROM that has minimal drain while in the pocket and good SOT when i use my device actively for short burst of periods.... I know its always a trade off between SOT and Standby . Thanks for your advice

Thanks man.. do update me on your experience when you switch ROMs.. I have had great time with RR on my old Motorola Atrix 2 as this particular ROM managed to stay on my phone for a long time but yeah the battery issue was always there as it is very feature rich.. Thanks for the info
the 615 chip is not very efficient in the first place, especially when it comes to gaming.

Standby is minimal but after flashing make sure you go to settings - battery - - battery optimisation and check that every app is optimized.

So, I flashed AOSP Extended last night... It's the best so far (just tried two ROM's yet), no bugs found by now. The torch light and camera movements works fine and I liked it.
When I completely test it perhaps make a review (maybe post here in XDA, if rules accept it).

The standby drain is okay for me.
A tip is go to the system settings > "Extensions" > "System" > "General Tweaks" > "Suspend Actions"
Then enable it...
My settings are:
Screen off delay: 5s
Screen on: 5s
Switch to 2G: Enabled
Disable Mobile Data: Disabled
Disable GPS: Enabled
This is doing magic in standby and the best part is enabling this don't make u losing any notification, they work fine here.
Hello,i just bought a used note 3,rooted it and installed Note 8 Rom on it.The only problem is the battery drain. When the screen is locked, battery doesnt drain at all, which is excellent, even when listening to music and screen is off.The problem is when i unlock it and start to use it.Battery goes down quickly, and I only get around 2 hours SOT.Could you help me a bit? Maybe theres a liter and better rom.Im using Note 3 International n9005 Snapdragon version. Thanks in advance
Buy a new battery.
Roms take a week or more to enable battery.
Their is no better rom as battery has nothing to do with rom.
Best battery life flash stock rom.
You are free to search your question that is asked thousands of times ,
Sometimes it'll die on my kind of quick without me realizing and when I plug it back in to charge, it'll sit and 0% and not charge, and the ETA for a full charge is N/A. Anyone have similiar issues? Would that be ROM/kernel related, or strictly hardware based?
I bought LE X720 for my wife.
I tried different versions of the original rom and with all the phone's battery was not charging normally.
I did downgrade to CN-5.8.017S, the problem continued. Then i upgraded to version CN-5.8.018S, the problem continued.
Now I'm using a version EUI 5.8.21s LEX720/727 USA. The charging problem continues and battery drain very quickly.
Every time I reboot the phone before plugging it in to the charger.
Do not buy this phone model - LE ZL1 X720. It is a great disappointment.
well, its not a constant thing for me, just sometimes. And the reason i got the x720 over the usa x727 version was the 6gb ram vs 4gb ram I believe was the difference. It also has dual SIm but ive no need for that. I wish I wouldve gotten the 128gb version but either I couldn't find it at the time, or it was more than i wanted to spend at the time. Still, for ~$250 im quite happy with this phone. Except I didnt order a hard case, thinking the case for my S3 would fit it, but the camera spot is slightly different.
This issue is known for at least a year, just don't use LeEco provided charger and cable and buy some better ones and you won't have that problem anymore.
For a better battery life don't use stock ROM, flash some custom ROM like Lineage 15.1. I get almost 10 hours of SOT on LOS15.1.

Absolutely!
The problem is not from charger and cable. I trying the charger and cable from my phone - ZUK Z2, the battery is continuing to not charging. After rebooting, the battery is charging normally.
Also i do not have charging issues with Android Oreo based custom roms. But with custom roms a battery drain very quickly.
With stock ROM i get about 2 days battery life, if phone not used too much.
Compared to the ZUK Z2, this ZL1 X720 is a huge disappointment.
Use the *Battery calibration* root app from google and follow the instructions after flashing your new rom.
Im using the Pie rom by mcintosh and average roughly 7-9 hours sot with 40% brightness and location on with moderate use
im happy with the phone for the most part, and the S3. I wonder if LeEco is still going to be making new phone models with that whole in debt thing i read about. Btw, do any of yall know what the Performance rating of your ram is in the Memory section? i attached a screenshot
Hi there, i have a 9T EEA, that i recently updated to MIUI 12, the thing is that since i updated it battery life is the worst i ever had, i use to charge it once every 1 and 1/2 days and now i have to plug it twice a day! So i was thinking to change the ROM but i dont know if it actually improves the battery life, i used to use Lineage or another roms in other phones but not sure if this will work with the currents Roms that are already in this Forum, like Xiaomi.Eu or Lineage, my main worries about them are about bank apps and the actual perfomance of it. Thanks in advance!

I'm on the same firmware and after about a week battery was almost the same as on 11.0.6.(debloated by ADB).
If you still have the feeling the drain is higher the upcoming firmware 12.0.3 may fix that, at least the beta users say so.
I don't have used a custom ROM on my 9T but my experience on other devices (mostly Motorola) is that customs have higher battery drain than stock firmwares.
Maybe xiaomi.eu is another thing but in the end you have to find it out by yourself.

Trust me it is worth it, u can control your own device with custom roms making it fast and light, unlike ugly bloated miui full of ads and huge battery usage, im sitting on msm xtended and get 0.2% battery drain at night in 12 hours, if u look for battery custom roms and definitely better than miui (u can easily achieve a 8h minimum sot)
