The latest camera mod from the mi9 forum works, with all the enhanced features in photo mode, if switched to or attempting to use the video recorder it causes a crash of the app.

Using the current v6 5.1.24.Still the camera is bugged.Pictures not clear and flash isn't working fine sometimes working and sometimes not.same happens with 3rd party apps like camera fx and all.Any fix?

if you are fond using manual mode in your V5....
then u will find it very difficult to set the exposure manually as there is no option for this ....
it can only be done while focusing that too very difficult.....

but overall picture quality is slightly better than V5...
miui 6 camera ui is appealing and pretty fast for insta capture. Love it

Download "MGC-5.1.018_FullManual_v1.2_Android-7.0+" that version is working vor me. You have to enable portrait mode manually in Settings:

You have to activate portrait shooting mode as an extra mode (like time lapse for example). Note that its until now only processing actual faces, not objects.
That version is working fine on my stock ROM.
Edit: Before someone asks: No, front facing camera is not working in this version.
Does someone tried this? Is it working?
And if it does - do you just install the apk or do U need to flash it via twrp?

Hi, tried google camera ported by scrubber. Its really stable and portraits are really good.
Got it from youtube link below. It workd flawlessly on Indian unit H870DS unit.
Stable Google cam port for LG G6 7.0

If these features can be done purely via the software, you wonder why LG can't implement something similar... but then we have no news on oreo so that might be too much to ask.

Its black means not working
Last Build that fully working and its Stable is Arnova 1.2 thats it
All ABove that Force Crash
For the 1.4 Portrait doesnt work but also the APP is laggy and crash all the times.
I have this expirience with Nougat 7.1.1
Will be good when something is ported we to know that is working fine for Nougat or for Oreo i wish there to have ONE STABLE BUILD that have almost everything working

what configs should i use the pixel2xl settings dont work
If i choose hdr its just black screen. If i switch of hdr camera working again.

Thank you dude for your attention to non mi5 users... Much much appretiated... We've noticed that portrait mode doesn't work on our device.... I'm personally running PureFusion OS 8.0 with latest app version which is 1.5beta...

Thank you @Arnova8G2 so much for responding to Thread that is Not Mi5 actually HTC 10 have good Hardware and we wonder why the Gcam doesnt work so good like in Other devices.
For me the only Version that work on Android Nougat Sense Based ROM is Arnova 1.2 based on 5.18 Gcam this is the best build so far only the Front Camera doesnt work crashesh on this build and the Slow Motion but this is not important
I hope we to have just one one Build that will be able to work smooth without crashesh to use the Google Camera potential
for Portrait Mode and all other stuffs for now are just Dreams for HTC 10

I found a Gcam port that WORK Superb on Nougat 7.0 Sense HTC 10 ROMs.
Everything is super no laggs at all the front facing camera is working too with HDR+ the Back as well. Auto no config settings all is auto.
The Camera UHD 1080 720 everything work perfectly fine and smooth!
RAW is working too.
The only thing that is not working but is there is the Portrait just gives me a black screen.
The App is using Huawei Marker so we can have this as a base because its seems superb fast camera.
Tonight will upload it when i come back home.
This that will make this apk BEST port of the Gcam for HTC 10 is
to adjust the JPG quality to 100%
and if posible to try fixing the Portrait mode!

if anyone is familiar with Android Studio so ever and cant lower the API
i think this build can work on HTC 10 since We have already all the hardware needed
But the API is 25 this mean Android 7.1 and above.
So can anybody make it API 24 ?

Why don't work on Android 7 stock or custom roms like purefusion which is 8.0????

As I'm using pixys OS 2.2 (9.0x)
I've used all the camera like
Gcam- no potrait mode, hdr stucks, slow mo crash
Pixel master- not working crashes after starting
Snapdragon camera- same as pixel master
Stock camera- same as above
Please suggest a camera that can be used with the rom
Best or helpful suggestion will be rewarded

here u go buddy...in that download Arnova's 8.3b build it should work fine...i use the same with the pixy os 2.2
But hdr mode is not working else I'm not able to use my secondary camera. Slow motion crashes the app
