Hello
Want to know if there is any CHEAP Chinese windows 8 tablet with GOOD performance?
By good Im not asking too much, just as powerful as the snapdragon s801 in my lg g3 ?
If not will this year a tablet come with or next year something close to snapdragon s810?
I just read z3735f performance is really not good, so not capable of running smoothly current android's 3D games right ? If I'm wrong please tell me.
Thank you.
The Lenovo Vibe P1 just launched a week ago,
Thinking to buy this device but,
It seems rumor mill has already started churning, about the device facing a "Heating issue".
The device is pretty great for a low ranged smartphone with,
Android v5.1 (Lollipop) OS
4900mAh, Quick Charge
Fingerprint Reader NFC
13 MP PDAF f2.2 Camera
5 MP f2.8 Camera
Dual Sim (LTE + LTE)
5.5 inch FHD 1080p Touchscreen
1.5 GHz Snapdragon 615 64-bit Octa Core Processor
Expandable Storage Capacity of 128 GB
can someone who owns/ knows someone who does/ or expert reviewer , shed some light about this device's issues, especially the heating one? Thanks in advance
I am using one.. Got it yesterday only.. Using it continuously, but No heating issues till now.. But I don't play games and hence ymmv..
Could you test it with some standard games like Clash Of Clans, Asphalt or Modern Combat?
The Heating issue is over hyped on various sites, scared to buy it because of that.
Not Much of a Heater
The phone even after serious gaming for upto 45 mins doesnt go above 44-45 degs (Celcius). Dont worry, I was worried too, saw the gaming review with temp, & then placed the order. I'll be getting mine in a couple of days.
Thanks, was badly worried with the reviews saying the Lenovo Vibe P1 heats upto 50-55 Celsius on long calls and gaming.
how to root this??
Thank

How to root ??
I really want to root this phone
I tried kingroot and iRoot applications
Can anyone suggest a proper way to root this phone ?
Is there a separate FAST CHARGING option for charging?
or it's a separate cable or something?
I am using this phone and the only tim I get this heated up is when it is charging .... but again not more than 45 - 46 .. so this is a good phone and worth the money spent
Fantastic fone for the price. Cost me less than 200 dollars equivilant coupled with an exchange. Good performance. Excellent battery life. Fast charging. Colors and hues not as good as an OPO. Looks quite OK.
5.1.1 out of the box.
Hope developers develop interest in building Custom RoMs, other development support.

Hello guys, i wanna ask you a simple question because i'm confused and really need to make a right decision, so should i buy Huawei P9 lite or Samsung Galaxy A5(2016). They are really similar and there is no big difference in price, also they have pretty much same performances, maybe some of you are not finding this like big problem but trust me i do and i really need to hear opinion from someone who is more experienced in this field than me.
Thanks.

I don't know about the a5 2016 and the rom development, but if it has CM and if you don't mind the fact that there are hardware keys and a fingerprint sensor in the front instead of the back,I'd go for the A5. They have two variants(one with snapdragon 615 and one with exynos). My guess is that if any variant has CM,its definitely the ss615 variant, and SD615 is much slower than the Kirin 650 on the P9 Lite(I had an Idol 3 5.5" with SD615 and boy was it sluggish...).
In the end,the P9 Lite is newer and faster. And we will hopefully get CM fully working in the near future.
And if you go for the P9 Lite, buy the 3GB RAM variant. I have a 2GB variant because I didn't have a choice and because it doesn't bother me. However, others say it is much better with 3GB of RAM,so...

Galaxy A5 2016 is very slow, due to the Touchwiz.
I go with Huawei p9 lite.

Yep,Huawei all the way then.
SD615 is old now and it's really pathetic.
And the 2GB variant is just a bit weaker in keeping lots of apps open at the same time. Other than that, the 3GB and the 2GB ones are the same(snappy and smooth).

Hello XDA friends,I'm Huawei Mate9 customer from China.After Huawei P10 used different flash,I use Androbench 5.0.1 to test my smartphone,and the test result is so terrible(Sequential R/W 387/34;Random R/W 76/11 MB/s).And then,I meet many customer(about 1600)get similar test result.
We dismantled several smartphones in different huawei offical customer centers, and we identify this flash mode is Toshiba THGBF7G8K4LBATR(UFS2.0 HS-G3 2-Lane) or Samsung KLUBG4G1CE-B0B1(UFS2.0 HS-G3 1-Lane (max 5.8Gbps)).After we read JEDEC,Toshiba and Samsung official parametric document, find they are both UFS2.0 flash instead of UFS2.1.And huawei claimed that the product was used UFS2.1.
We have reflected this problem to Huawei, but huawei told us all Mate9 are used UFS2.1 flash and denied their frauds.
In addition, some mate9's test results can reach more than 800MB/s sequential read, but it does not mean it is used UFS2.1 flash.According to definition of JEDEC JESE220C(UFS2.1),the key of distinguishing between two kinds of flash is other functions. For details, please refer to the picture.
Now Huawei customer service doesn't give a solution to the problem.Mainstream technology media did’t even report this one thing in China.I hope XDA Mate9 customer can know this thing and stand up customer rights.
Thank you for reporting it. It's a shame Huawei doesn't care about its customers in such a bad fashion!
anyways, regarding the opponent's available on the smartphone market and their prices I guess Huawei won't care. Maybe they delivered the better flashs to Europe because the higher prices due change amount, but this a a fact only Huawei will be sure of. We all can only guess, but I didn't see a Europe mate 9 ATM lower sequential reading than 500 mb/s. even how the technical components work together with each other we can't be sure. And just to be true : I couldn't experience any noteable difference to my P9 and the P9 lite ( Seems my mate 9 uses the ufs 2.1 with 750 mb/s ) between the speeds of the flash in daily usage, even in high-end gaming.. Nothing
And I'm not sure how exact the results of that benchmarks are because the many parameters acting here ( Background Apps, Battery percentage, running apps, maybe even just installed and not running apps ( Fragmenting the internal memory )?

I'm having confusion between Realme 2 pro and Asus Zenfone, because Asus has got a massive battery (5000 mAh) and (Snapdragon 636), whereas Realme 2 pro has (Snapdragon 660), but a very low battery (3500 mAh) considering the processor. And I specifically want to buy a phone for gaming (PUBG, Asphalt 9 etc).
I will stick to ZMP M1
Serious Network bug in Max Pro M1.
Even with better reception.
Get poco, not much price difference and superior in every possible way.
If you are not fan of notch you can go with asus zenfone maxpro m1 but wait max pro m2 just got announced

I would suggest Zenfone, because:
1. Notch displays are not good for gaming & watching videos (for obvious reason - display cutout, so some contents won't be visible).
2. M1's 5000 mAh battery performs very well. You can play for much longer time.
3. SD636 is just Underclocked SD660. And there's Overclocked kernel available for M1 to match the performance. So there won't be, if not then slight performance difference.
Neither Asphalt 9, nor PUBG lags on M1. I personally play Asphalt 9 with High graphics, and PUBG with HD graphics + Extreme FPS. There's no lag or heating issue.
For gaming i recommend you real me 2 pro
For long term gaming asus m1
Build is plastic on real me while metal in asus
Stock android is in asus while buggy color os is in real me which is not properly optimised.
Rest is you choice. I would go for m1 pro its available for very cheap rate in sell
You want that color os for life???
The hardware of realme2pro is good...
SD660..
Faceunlock via IR
But you will never be able to flash any custom rom or even root any oppo device because they do not make the kernel sources publicly avaliable...i.e---No developer community/Roms/custom kernels/Root
And..... Color os is very heavy and performace will be compromised
Go for asus

It is not publicly out yet
If you are primarily into gaming, then Max Pro 6GB any-day. The ColorOS is bloated and not properly optimized.
Buy Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1

Wait for few days.. I'm guessing 'Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2' is launching...
(pic attached)
I have very simple answer for you:
If you consider yourself well versed with Android don't buy any device which has ColorOS or else you will regret.
Reasons:
It will give a constant flashing banner on your statusbar as soon as you enable Developers option, accessibility for any app, Mobile Hotspot, etc. and force you to shut them down.
You won't see any notification icons if the device has a notch (even realme 2 pro although it has very small notch).
Usb debugging will auto disable within 10 minutes of non-usage (it will anyway get disabled as the OS will keep on flashing banner until you disable Developers option).
No bootloader unlocking for any Realme device as of now.
These are few of the worst issues in ColorOS 5.2 right now.
Brother you should get realme 2 pro
If you can live with ColorOS and don't mind a smaller battery, go for Realme 2 Pro.
I used Asus Zenfone Max pro me 6gb after using OnePlus 5 8gb. Honestly saying Asus got good network reception than OnePlus 5 >> + asus has massive battery, pubg and asphalt 9 runs extremely well on balanced graphics and high fps. I don't know why people says that Asus Zenfone Max pro has bad network reception. I stay in a very off network place, but I still get good network reception.

It's happening for some people unfortunately.
For wifi I can wholeheartedly confirm.
Surprised that you have better reception on ZMPM1 than OP5. Good for you.

For people buying 15k phones, 7k would be regarded as much of a price difference.
Agree regarding the value part though.
Also superior in every possible way!?
Miui and notch ? (just kiddin)
Real me 2 probhas 5 main problems
1 sd660 is underclocked like 636
2 screen is tft very old technology
3 body is platic not glass or metal
4 color os is not very good for multitasking and not optimised. Apps getting reload modtly.
5 slow updates

Im also a victim of network issue.
Very poor.
I still remember some Youtuber mentioned that this **** has great cellular call quality.(when i was planning to buy).
[Reception is good but this ****s modem is crazy, call and internet drops like hell].
I choose this piece of crap over RN5 Pro,and that was such a mistake if feel pitty in myselves.
I want to trash it by using a sledgehammer, nothing less
