I recently bought a Chinese Samsung G10+ and everything works great. However, recently discovered that Bixby Voice doesn't understand “what is the weather” means
1. Everything is in English except Samsung Assistant
2. It almost seems like weather isn't an option available to Bixby
Any ideas would help, thanks in advance.

Up until two days ago, a double tap of my home button would open Google Now. The interface with the cards, and the Google voice assistant.
Seemingly out of the blue, S Voice has now replaced the Google assistant and I can't get it back. I tried resetting default applications and it won't let me choose to use Google.
Can anyone help me to get back my Google assistant?
Have you got root?

Yes, although I don't know what exactly. It's rooted and I believe that had to be done for it to work with my SIM. The device is American, originally on AT&T and I use it in the UK with another carrier.
if root, remove or rename s-voice app....
Hello,
Recently picked up a new note 4.
When I set the phone up initially, I had ok google everywhere.
Now it's gone.
I checked the settings, and ok google everywhere is not avail in my language.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Solved.
Basically my preferred language was English (Canada), and not USA. Apparently there's a difference. Who knew 'eh?
Got it working once I switched that. Damn Canadians.

Issue caused by S Voice. Disactivate Voice Wake-Up function from S-Voice to get Ok Google Everywhere back
Hello,
I'm looking for a good voice assisant for my Galaxy S7 edge.
Which one would you advise? Google Now is not bad but sometimes there are important voice commands missing.
Something like Siri for Android would be really nice
It should have voice activation and be available in German.
Regards,
Nestade
PS: I'm not sure if my last Thread got deleted or if it just didn't get posted. If it got deleted, sorry for creating a new one (is it against the rules?)
Is it possible to get Google assistant on this ROM?

Enter beta Verdion from Google app and Google play services, wait a while and update these apps than change your System language to english us and go to homescreen, you normally should have the assistant now, change language back
Even easier, just change the language to English US and reboot

I tried that but didn't work for me with my A2017G 7.1.1.
The only thing that I noticed is that the navigation in Google Maps started speaking funny... switching back...

lol the navigation thing happened to me too, but it eventually changed to English altogether
It didn't work? You only have to hold home and the dialog should appear

No, I tried, but holding home just brought up the "good old" google app.
Weird... I dunno. I did like 4 clean installs and so far it worked every time i held home...
No idea. maybe you could try getting the app, dunno
Google had announced this in march it was to be activated first in the US and then followed by the UK and several other countries.
Maybe it'll be 2018 for us.

Well I doubt it detects the country you're in. I'm in Argentina. Last place where you'd think that they would allow assistant. And I have assistant simply by using English US

Did you remember to also wipe data for Google app and Google play services? That should do the trick

No, I didn't wipe the data indeed... I'll try that later, thank you.
It doesn't work on the Chinese A2017. Assistant is installed in the Google app but it's still Google home when the ask Google. I think it's because the home button (my voice) only operates when the system language is Chinese. Unless someone writes a piece of code to fix this then it looks like I'm stuffed.
Hello, for some reason on my fully up-to-date galaxy s8, the text input option isn't showing in google assistant. My friend has an s8+ and the keyboard is available on his, but not mine. Anyone have any idea how to fix this problem, it's driving me crazy. Worst case, how do I reinstall assistant? Thank you!

I don't use Google Assistant, but here is the site: https://www.theverge.com/2017/5/17/15648472/google-assistant-keyboard-input-announced-io-2017
It mentions that once you launch it, just hit small keyboard icon. Do you have google keyboard installed? Maybe it is needed?
No I don't have the keyboard and no I'm using SwiftKey, however it works with SwiftKey as my friend's phone works with it.
Thank.
