Did mi pull back the 10.3.5.0.PFGINXM update? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

I received the 10.3.5.0.PFGINXM on my RN7 Indian version. I downloaded the update(700 mb approx) , but when i rebooted to recovery i was greeted with a message saying that "update.zip failed , the file is corrupted" . When i rebooted back to system , the new update was the entire file ( 1.7 gb) . I downloaded again and then proceeded to reboot. I got the same error again. This happened 3-4 times , with me having to download the update anew each time.
But now , i cant actually see any update when i check the system update . I am on 10.2.11.0 and it shows me no updates.
Funny thing is , when i check my file system for folder "downloaded_rom" , the zip found there(1.7gb one) does not open in a zip file viewer, saying the file is corrupted. But a zip which i manually downloaded from the bigota website, that zip easily opens in a zip viewer.

[Q] Still need help with Dexter Mod

I have tried everything in my toolkit to get the Dexter Mod installed on my A7...the new firmware update worked fine, but when i follow the steps for the Dexter mod..in recovery mode, i get a message that says:
Install from sdcard
Finding update package
Opening update package
E:Can't open /sdcard/update.zip
(no such file or directory)
Installation aborted
Formatting MISC...
I even downloaded the Dexter Mod from my computer at work yesterday and brought it home to try to no avail...
Why isn't this working?
Is there another place I can download the Dexter Mod 11 from to get a different file..
How can I be sure I am in the root directory of the sdcard?
I realize i am brand new at this, and i am willing to do the work, but really I am disappointed the the mod will not install..
also, I noticed that when I ran the firmware update, a few programs that I had downloaded were erased...how do i back program up on the A7 so they are not lost
Another question
Is in necessary to install the previos Dexter mods before the 11?
No, you don't need to download the previous ROMs first.
Your download may be corrupted. That happens a lot with large files.
This one is over 90MB.
Getright is a free download manager that helps with this issue.
Get it here:
http://www.getright.com/
Try that and let us know if it works for you.
I installed update.zip from the root directory of sd card (nothing on sd card except Update.zip), from within settings> about> update firmware.
It will go through the steps and boot loop.
U then hold off for 15 secs, then turn on for 3secs, let go and hold till it says > loading boot kernel ( recovery mode), then wipe cache and settings.
Done!!
Whew.
when renaming the file leave out the zip part. i was having the same problem . if you noticed the elocity update doesnot name the update w/ zip at the end
thank you

Just make sure that you have not modified that file.
Also some people had the same issue and it turned out that they had the file renamed to power.msm8960.so.bak, if so
use a file explorer to rename it back to the original (without .bak), and if that still fails, download the file from the factory image and replace it, then try to flash the zip file.

same here but i have "framework-res.apk" has unexpected contents.
In order to use OTA, your system files should be stock and unmodified and it looks like you modified that file, my suggestion, is to download the factory image of your current build of 4.3 from here
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#occam
check what version you have, mine was JWR66Y when I upgraded.
then extract the factory image on your desktop and copy and replace "any" file that you have modded (with TWRPs file manager + ADB), before flashing Kitkat OTA zip, (note: when replacing files make sure that system files you replace have the right permissions e.g. chmod 755)
OR you could flash the Kitkat factory image directly instead of the OTA, ONLY IF you know how to do so without wiping your device's data, remember that this can cause you problems later.
Be careful, I hope you had a nandriod backup, before this happened.
Thanks for all your sugeestions, renaming the file worked for me. Flashing the zip file now via TWRP.

Failed to flash update_data_full_hw_eu (Medipad M3)

Hi,
I downloaded via Firmware Finder newer ROM for BTV-W09C100B302 (two files, update.zip and update_data_full_hw_eu.zip)
Via dload I install correctly update.zip, but update_data_full_hw_eu.zip goes wrong: Installation lasts few seconds, and after reboot apps continue without appearing.
I downloaded again in case of corrupted file, but problem persists.
Any idea??

I need help. My Huawei P8 Lite ALE-L21 is not updating.

I have a P8 Lite Ale-L21 which is in good condition. Since 2 months my phone has been notifying me to do update. My phone is running on android 6 marshmallow which I updated to 2 years ago. The build no. of my phone is Ale-l21c185b525. The update for build no. L21c185b574 is available on the updater. So when I tap to update it to that , the updater gives a warning that says :
Your system has been altered. You will have to download the latest full update package to complete the update.
Two options come with it that are cancel and update. I tap update. It just keeps on loading but no update happens.
I have also downloaded firmware files of this build number c185b574. I did the whole process of extracting the zip file into that dload folder of root folder of internal storage. Then I went to the updater and tried to do update. But it still gives that same warning which it gives usually and does not update. It just loads for a minute but then nothing happens. Then I tried to do force update by pressing the power button with the volume buttons. It goes into installing update mode. It goes on 5 percent and then gives a warning which says error installing update and gives a link of emui.com mod restore. I did check out that link. It just redirected me to emui.com of huawei. I have done everything I can to do update. But it seems that my phone is not keeping up to my expectations. So please help me. Its urgent.
The best way in my opinion it's do it through TWRP, so you should unlock the bootloader before
Make sure the FULL update file is in internal and external storage (don't extract UPDATE.APP, just put that file into dload directory on internal and external storage) and then in the updater app choose local update.

thats really weird, i updated mine to 10.3.5.0 global version successfully.
Wait for the device to show the update.
It's weird that i didn't find any of these problems
The update did reappear back , but the issue persisted . The update kept failing.
I finally flashed 10.2.7.0 via fastboot and then updated to 10.3.5.0 via OTA. This time it worked perfectly.
