i have oneplus 3t and the camera is amazing but i want to upgrade so what you recommend me to go with ?
All have their strengths.... The OnePlus 3 as well.
Try not to get dazzled by specs and marketing hype... Think of it more of as there some area they you would like to improve over the op3 camera
Samsung camera may be better if you want to just point and shoot in full auto all the time.
Most of us won't be utilizing our phone cameras to it's full potential all the time.
I moved from a OP3 to a Mate 9 (after deciding to pass on the S7) and I'm very happy with my choice
You should have a look at the pocketnow "real camera reviews" on YouTube if you're not aware of them already
For the OP3
https://youtu.be/bQFy7qzkNro
Check the P10 and mate 9 there as well
I don't think any reviewers have gotten around to doing in depth reviews for the s8 as of yet
so you recomende transfed to mate ? from op3t bacause u use it and know if there defrence

Bro but in link version of gcam is not good.
I used this one https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/MGC_3.2.045_final_2.2.apk, buth this one https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/MGC_3.2.045_FINAL_3.3.apk works too. HDR+ works for front and rear camera, however Lens Blur still buggy

I can tell you this for sure, i spent last 2 days trying to get a fully functional Gcam to work on my Note 2 and there is no way to do it. Must have tried 3 dozens different Gcams....and a dozen different hacks on how to get them to work. Some work with no HDR some work only back cam some with no Video Camera etc etc.
I'm running Pixel Experience (8.1) Rom that comes with a basic Gcam with no HDR that is the closest to a working cam. I decided to opt for Open Camera that is free fully functional (HDR, DRO and more) video rec works, front and back work and it supports Cam2Api for extra functions. I'd like to get a fully functional Gcam but as far as i know is not possible...yet at least.
The question *WHY* is a very good starting point.
There are almost no phones sharing the quirky SONY imx318 sensor. Just a handful, rather unpopular phones. Which means no development on the gcam, etc.
However, knowing that the Note 2 has a SD821 SoC and a SONY IMX sensor, porting *should* be possible.
(Google Pixel is running an SD821 and a (far superior) SONY IMX sensor)
I forgot to mention that I have Pixel Experience installed and have removed the preinstalled camera first with help of system app uninstaller , before installing the camera. HDR+ works so far.

Hi all, i am interested in this phone but also looking at pixel 3 right now using 2 xl please share pics taken with op and help me decide
I used the Google camera port for the oneplus 6 on my 6t. Biggest difference I can see is in the portrait mode. No real good pictures to upload yet.

Guys I have been searching a lot for the latest Google Camera 6.1 Mod, (Pixel 3 one with Nightsight) for AOSP based ROMs, didn't find any.
Please drop a link to the one that you guys are using. preferably a TWRP flashable.
TIA, please be kind, Noob here.
The camera was barely ported with portrait mode and it isn't even working that good. Personally i think we would never the nightsight for our exynos processors, snapdragon maybe?
I'm also looking forward to behaving pixel 3 camera with night sight for galaxy s7 exynos
Hi
There are a lot of talk here about Lavender and violet, am I missing something or is it the color - Mine is black?
Where do I find root options when it is black and not Lavender, assuming we still talk about the color?
Lavender is the Xiaomi Redmi note 7, Violet is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro they have different socs, google about it.

Ok, mine is the 3/32GB Black Note 7 bought in Denmark it is MIUI Global 10.3.5 Stable 10.3.5.0(PFGEUXM) Model M1901F7G
So that makes it under Lavender code name?
XDA is the best source for the correct info on these things, google it yeah I could do that, though it would not always give me the correct info - tried flashing a phone with wrong ROM because of mistaken info of the net, later got it fixed with correct ROM.
My Nexus 5 was a mobile phone, not a shark. but they called it hammerhead here in XDA :silly: :cyclops:
Anyway to give you a serious answer, LAVENDER is Redmi Note 7's device code name. It does not refer to the color of your phone.

Yes, it's a lavender. The stock options are China, India and global. Probably global in your case.
This is a comparison from gsm arena, look at the differences, also I think they call Xiaomi Redmi Note 7's the one with the worst camera (12 MP, f/2.2, (wide), 1/2.9", 1.25µm, PDAF, front: 2 MP, f/2.4, depth sensor)

I can't complain about the camera, mine is the 48MP Samsung lens + 5MP on the back and 13MP on the front, and the photos it takes is much better than any other phone I have had before, even my Firefly mobile Intense Desire which had Sony camera.
The only issue I have is the Security App, which deletes my notes explained here(Solved now):

I don't like much of the software that it's included in miui, there is some in miui.eu and they take away the ads, so it's a little bit better there. I used AOEX in my kenzo, but lavender is still under a lot of development so I'm waiting to be a little bit more stable.
